How To Adjust BMX Brakes

March 27, 2018

Need to learn how to adjust BMX brakes? Here’s a video for you showing you just how to do it!

When it comes to working on a BMX bike, the most common complaint is dialing in brakes, and keeping them working well. If you ask a lot of brakeless riders why they don’t use brakes, there’s a good chance working on brakes is the reason they chose to ditch them. Although a lot of riders go straight for brakeless these days, there’s still a good number of riders that still run brakes. Anyone who has run brakes, they know brakes can be a little tricky to dial in so they work perfect, but there’s nothing better once they are done. If you want to learn how to adjust BMX brakes so they work perfect, this video from Brant Moore will definitely help. This video discusses the different parts, how to properly assemble the brakes, how to tension BMX brakes so they are even and don’t rub, along with a few tricks that he has to ensure they work amazing. Hit play, take it all in and then try it out yourself. It’s going to take a little practice, but once you have it figured out, your brakes will work great and you will be able to do tricks like fufanus and abubacas, which is always rad!

“In this video I show how to adjust BMX brakes and explain the various reasons as to why BMX brakes might need adjusted.

I cover everything from straddle cable setups such as a straight cable or single to double lower gyro cable, all the way to dual lower gyro cables which require a different approach.

The Biker Bros In Malaga

March 27, 2018

Jiri Blabol and Zdenda Pesek escape to Malaga, Spain…

If there is one place that you can almost count on being on every single BMX riders top 5 places they want to go, it’s gotta be Malaga, Spain. Not only does the city have some incredible parks, including the Ruben Alcantara park, it also has some amazing street spots to ride. TBB Bike sent Jiri Blabol and Zdenda Pesek down there to warm up from the rough winter and stack some clips. Needless to say, both of these guys had a productive trip and came back with this dialed new video. Take a look!

“What can be better than running away from the cold in one of the southernmost corners of Spain, and together with a good party spend a week wandering through the streets? The answer is clear. Together with Zdenda Pešek and Jirka Blábol, I went to Malaga to explore her streets.

The goal was to find unusual street spots, which will also be used by a pure park rider like the Moon and spots that you will not find anywhere. That’s why we drove almost every day out of town and looked for spots in remote and deserted lands. How many interesting spots we’ve been able to find, you can judge for yourself.”
