Scotty Cranmer Gets His Skull Back

February 14, 2017

Since many of you are keeping up with the progress of Scotty Cranmer since his terrible crash back in October, here’s a fresh update that we’re sure you will be pumped on! After Scotty’s surgeries, they had to remove part of his skull to let his brain heal, which is why he has been rocking that helmet in all the recent episodes on his Youtube channel to protect his head where the skull was missing. Everything was healed up, so doctors were finally able to place a new piece they custom made to replicate the piece of skull that was removed to properly protect Scotty’s brain. Above is a photo post-surgery and below are a few words giving you an update on how it all went! Stoked to see the final surgery wrapped up!

“I officially have a forehead again! But there’s a lot of pain that comes with it. I have a lot of recovering to do, there are over 50 stitches in my head and a tube to drain out fluid.. disgusting! But this is the last surgery that I need from this accident and I’m so happy to say that! Thank you all for the well wishes I truly appreciate it!” – Scotty Cranmer

UPDATE:

Here’s a look at the post surgery photo without the wrap…

“The wrapping is off and the Doctors decided it was time to remove the tube that was draining from my head! I’ll tell you honestly this was not fun at all.. They pulled the drain out while I was awake and then gave me stitches to close the hole! But the new forehead is looking great and now it is time to focus on the healing of this Frankenstein scar I’ve got! Thank you all for the support you all have been amazing!”

Hyper BMX Skatepark Jam at the Incline Club

February 14, 2017

The Hyper crew throw down at a jam at the Incline Club…

To celebrate Scotty Cranmer re-signing on his Hyper BMX contract, he had Brooklyn build up a fresh new bike for Scotty to ride once he gets back on his bike, then there was a huge jam at the Incline Club with the Hyper team, free pizza and more. Hit play and take it all in!

“So its official I have resigned my contract for HYPER BMX and I could not be more happy to tell you guys that it is Official. So I told Big Boy to pick me up and take me to the bike shop so I could build up my new bike with the HYPER BMX team. Then after we built it up I sat on a bmx bike for the first time since my crash and it was amazing. I went to the skatepark after for a pizza jam and it was amazing time. I am so glad I got to see a ton of riders in once place it’s been so long. Also Big Boy goes for a flair world record. Hopefully you guys all enjoy this one.” – Scotty Cranmer

Colony BMX – Travel Life: Brisbane

February 14, 2017

Colony coming through with another batch of raw clips from a trip that some of the team took to Brisbane, Australia to stack clips for a few different video projects. This video is a bunch of clips from different skateparks and spots they rode along the way. Obviously with a crew like this, there’s a ton of dialed riding to take in. We’re especially pumped to see Tom Stretton back on the bike after nearly a year off due to knee surgery. Check it out!

“We spent a week in Brisbane filming with Josh Dove, Chris Courtenay, Jayden Fuller, Tom Stretton, Clint Millar and Alex Hiam. Here is the behind the scenes video from the trip.

Watch Jayden’s recent video part here: Colony BMX – Jayden Fuller 2017 Video”

Feeble Life Wax – Eric Mesta Section

February 14, 2017

The sections from the Feeble Life Wax video continue to make their way online. This time around we get the owner, Eric Mesta‘s section from the video. Eric is a grinding, barspin and crankflipping machine and this BMX video is a clear indicator of it. Hit play and watch him put all four of his pegs, and presumably plenty of Feeble Life wax, to good use!

Max Mezencew 2016 Clips

February 14, 2017

Max Mezencew hit us with a link to his latest video that features a bunch of clips he collected over the course of 2016 from different skatepark sessions and more. Max brings plenty of spins, tailwhip combos and more to the table. The video is a real solid watch from start to finish, so take a look!

Billy Perry – BMX Redemption In Barcelona

February 14, 2017

After Billy Perry‘s last trip to Barcelona was cut short by a broken ankle, it was only a matter of time before he found his way back over to the BMX mecca to actually get some riding time in. Here’s a video from some of the riding that Billy and Anthony Panza got in during their trip over. We would imagine there will be plenty more of this coming through in the next few days.

“Vlog from my last two days in Barcelona. We rode some crazy spots as usual and met up with the Spanish BMX YouTuber Ingladaa. Day 2 Panza, Colin, Mati and myself traveled far out of the city to ride some spots. I had to leave Barcelona a bit earlier than expected but I came back to New York injury free this time!”

Chad Kerley – The Longest Street Line Ever?

February 14, 2017

Click bait or nah? Actually, we’ll just tell you… It’s not.

When Click Bait titles on Youtube videos are at an all time high, you have to be cautious when you catch one that could potentially over sell. Luckily, when you see names like Chad Kerley and Doeby, you can expect that you aren’t getting 10 minutes of complete garbage mixed with a bit of dialed footage. When we saw “The Longest Street Line Ever?”, we weren’t quite sure what we were getting into, but we’re glad we hit play. Watch as Chad literally runs a line through an entire school campus that may or may not have scared a few people and a dog in the process. That ender though…

“Unlike most YouTube titles these days, this is no bait click. Over the course of four Sundays, we hit up a local campus to plot, spot, and attempt to film one monumental line both through the campus and whoever got in the way. Chad’s consistency is on another level and this two minute line is a testament to just that.

Even with the slip at the end, this is by far, the longest street line ever filmed. And, before you say it, Chad did end up pulling the full line and that 180 at the end. We’ll be posting a behind the scenes video tomorrow with a bunch of what happened along the way and the full, completely pulled line. But everything about this attempt was just too good not to put out first…

The dog was fine and we never saw that girl to apologize, so if you see this, sorry!

Filmed by Doeby Huynh” – Ride BMX
