Product: S&M Bikes – 22″ Mainline Tires

If you run a 22″ bike, you just got another option for BMX tires. The crew over at S&M Bikes have released their Mainline tire in two 22″ tire sizes; 2.10″ and 2.425″. The Mainline is geared toward trails riding with a wire bead, 110 PSI casing, directional knobby tread design with a V-notched edge for accelerating, a flat edge for braking and micro-knurling for extra traction while turning. The 2.21″ version has an inflated width of 2.24″ and weight of 27 oz., the 2.425″ version has an inflated width of 2.41″ and a weight of 29 oz. Both available in black only.

How BMX Tires Are Made

Curious how bicycle tires are made? Here’s a video that shows how it’s done!

Making a BMX tire is a complex process of combining a bunch of layers of rubber, wire and nylon together to make a single tire. The other day, Chris Moeller dropped some videos on Instagram giving us a look at some of those processes while a few of the S&M Bikes tires were being made over in Taiwan, which for some reason were deleted later. After we watched the videos, we decided to see if we could find more in-depth footage showing and explaining just how tires for bikes are made. Luckily, Schwalbe had a super good video to show just how the process is done from start to finish and how tubes for bicycles are made. It’s definitely interesting to see how much goes into a single tire. Above you can find the video that Schwalbe made giving you a look at the full process of how a bicycle tire and even how tubes are made. These aren’t BMX tires, but it’s a very similar process that is used to do a BMX tire, just a smaller diameter, thicker rubber and different tread patterns. Pretty cool, huh?

Billy Perry – Miami BMX Takeover Shut Down By Police

Billy Perry dropped his video from the big street jam he threw with Austin Augie during their stay in Miami. Based off the video it looks like they had a massive turn out, ran into the cops at every corner and still managed to have a good time. Check it out!

Mutiny X DIG – Jeff Wescott 2016 Video

Jeff turns up the heat in sunny San Diego for this one bringing his fast paced style to plenty of unique street spots.
