Nitro Circus Junior Games 2023

Check out highlights from the Nitro Circus Junior Games in Hamburg, Germany!

The Nitro Circus Junior Games rolled through the I-Punkt park over in Hamburg, Germany the other weekend. A ton of the young and up and coming riders stopped out to throw down, along with Caiden Cernius who we didn’t expect to see there. Either way, there was a bunch of great riding that went down and the future is looking bright. Take a look!

“We stopped by the I-Punkt Skateland at the Nitro Circus Junior Games 2023 and were shocked! What the hell is wrong with youth? Do the invited U16 riders actually throw around double whips, barspin flips and 360 double whips all day long, but can’t name a single 187 track?! Tshs!

Odyssey – Murray Loubser “Side Walls”

Murray Loubser always delivers with the good stuff!

It’s always interesting how just looking at a spot differently, or just looking for a specific setup can lead to a lot of possibilities you never even considered. This new Murray Loubser video that Odyssey released is a perfect example. Murray created a whole edit utilizing sidewalls on street spots, coming up with unique lines and mixing in different tricks to utilize the setups. This is one of those things you probably never thought of, but now you will notice it all the time and maybe get some inspiration from. Take a look because this is sweet!

“Murray Loubser is a versatile rider who can destroy anything put in front of him. However, for this project he took a specific approach and focused in on the various “side walls” (AKA wall-ledges/wedges) around Cape Town and surrounding areas. Here’s what Murray had to say about the project.” – Odyssey

“The concept of Side walls came about while out on a session with Jason Prins.

We were out cruising through the City of Cape Town and happened to ride two side wall spots in succession. Jason then had the idea that we could probably film an entire video just riding these sidewalls, and so the idea was born.

It seemed like a fun concept so we started chipping away at getting clips and finding spots. We would drive and pedal around searching for these things all over CPT. Going down so many alleyways and roads in search. I found it funny how many sidewalls were sitting right under our noses, we just had never seen them as a spot before.

It proved quite challenging to try do different tricks on the same type of spot. In the end it came down to finding unique sidewalls to get something a bit different for the video.

At the same time I found filming just sidewalls quite freeing in a way, it was like I had less to choose from which forced me to use the spots we found. I really enjoyed getting as creative as I could with the spots.

All in all I had a real blast filming this project, and Jason Prins absolutely smashed it behind the lens with his unique style and way of capturing my riding and the city’s environment.
