Dew Tour Chicago – Futures Highlights

To go along with the regular Dew Tour pro contest, they threw an AM contest last weekend as well. Check out what a ton of familiar faces along with a few unheard of guys threw down in this highlight video!

“Early on Saturday, Dew Tour threw a little-known event by the name of Futures, inviting 12 of the best AM (couple of exceptions here) street riders under the age of 25 in the midwest to come show what the future of BMX will look like…definitely a few dudes in this that I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of in the future. Shout out to Dew Tour for having an event like this (although, I think they should have filmed and put out their own edit, as well—no shots)…

Kink – Give It Up Northwest Mix

Kink released this new video featuring Jay Roe and James Steele cruising a few cement parks, backyard ramps and DIY spots around Vancouver and Seattle! This might not be the craziest video you watch all day, but it’s damn good!

Rio Street Jam 2015

The annual Rio de Janeiro street jam went down back on May 24th and based off this video it was a massive success. Check out full highlights from this huge BMX jam along with some insights from the locals on the scene and event. This is what a strong BMX scene looks like.

“Rio street jam is a championship produced by the riders themselves, with few resources and a lot of race. What sets it apart from a common competition is the fact that it is contested by teams. There are 5 players on each team and everyone must perform maneuvers, no use a group of individuals stand out. To get a good score, each of the 5 athletes must perform advanced level of complexity of maneuver, with few or no errors.
The fourth edition of the championship took place in the Lapa RJ day May 24, 2015, on a sunny Sunday.”

Salute to the 4th – Silverlake Contest Flyer

When you want things to change in your scene, sometimes you have to take the reigns and make things happen. For those of you that don’t know, we’re based out of Rochester, Minnesota. It’s not exactly the kind of place you would expect a site like this to be with so much of the BMX industry being in California, but we still make it work. One thing we have always done is worked to be involved with or making events happen up here to help bring the scene together and grow it. Recently, we were asked to work with a local group in the city to help out with a big 4th of July celebration that will feature live music, food and alcohol vendors, a car and motorcycle show and a BMX and skateboard contest. One of main goals of this event was to show the city council that there is a big BMX and skateboard scene to get them to see it’s time to expand the skatepark. Once we heard that, we were all for helping out with the BMX contest.

So, if you’re in the Minnesota area on the 4th of July, swing through Rochester and hit up the Silverlake Skatepark. We’ll be throwing the BMX contest at the park and we have a ton of prizes from our sponsors; The Shadow Conspiracy, Subrosa Brand, Fly Bikes, Profile Racing, Madera, Mutiny Bikes, Kali Protectives, Radio Bikes and Merritt, to giveaway!

Lost Chicago Trip

It’s crazy how much footage can just be “missing” on peoples hard drives or locked up on Youtube or Vimeo for one reason or another. We’re not sure why Animal Bikes never ended up using this video, but we’re glad Lino Gonzalez finally released this BMX video online for everyone to enjoy! If you’re looking some street, this is one you gotta check out!
