Insight: G-Shock – GB6900B Watch

It’s funny how technology has evolved and changed over the years and you find new ways to connect different things you use throughout the day to one thing you never really thought you would have the capability of doing. The other day our friends at The Watch Hut hit us up to see if we had any interest in checking out one of the G-Shock watches the carry. Instantly, we started thinking that it might be a good idea because we’ve seen them involved with BMX quite a bit over the years sponsoring events and different riders like Nigel Sylvester. We remembered a promo video Nigel did a little while back for the GB6900B and figured that would be a good one to check out. Let’s take a closer look at this watch.

Product: Total BMX – Team Front Load Stem

Is it time for a new BMX stem and you’re looking for a front load? Maybe the Team Front Load stem from Total BMX is what you’re looking for. This stem is fully CNC machined from 6061-T6 alloy with two reach options; 48mm and 52mm, and an 8mm rise. You can find extra machining on the sides with a recessed top for a flush compression cap and a laser etched Total BMX logo on the front plate. This stem uses solid chromoly bolts for additional strength as well. The Team Front Load stem comes in anodized colors of black, chrome and purple with a weight of 9.7 oz.

This stem is available worldwide through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Total BMX.

Kink – One Hit Wednesday: Chad Osburn

Kink Bike Co. just sent through this weeks “One Hit Wednesday” that features Chad Osburn going to work on a gap to rail setup that he was NOT scared to put his tires on. There’s a few more than just one hit in this one and they’re all crazy.

“This kinked rail in Albany, NY has been murdered over the years. We rolled up to it last year not expecting much, but to our surprise it was the pegless guy that had the most to offer it. Chad is the best.

Sneak Peek: Volume Bikes – VLM Seat

The guys over at Volume Bikes dropped a sneak peek look at their new VLM seat that will be out later this year. This seat, that will be available in brown and black leather, features a debossed VLM logo and what appears to be plenty of padding for barspins or the occasional chance to sit down. No word if it will come in other sizes or in a Tripod version as well, but it is expected to drop in a few months. Our estimate would be around September.

Sports Illustrated – Training with Nigel Sylvester

Sports Illustrated just released this new video featuring Nigel Sylvester talking about what “training” is really like for himself as a BMX rider. This has a bunch of footage of him cruising around New York City, but there’s some good insights in this. Needless to say, Nigel is always getting involved with some big media outlets. Vocal BMX – Across the Channel

A few weeks back, the Vocal BMX‘s Chris Nicol, Jack Clark, Brock Horneman and Ash Douglas loaded up and took a trip from the U.K to France where they hit up a handful of parks on their way to FISE! Here’s a BMX video they dropped giving us a look at a bunch of amazing riding that went down along the way!
