Erik Elstran Interview

The first time I met Erik, it was at a session at the now closed Renegade skatepark here in Minnesota. My jaw hit the floor… literally. I was blown away by the weird tricks he was doing all over the place. Fakies across the park to half body varials out. I just sat there and stared the majority of the time. We talked about doing an interview, and for some reason or another it ended up taking a really long time to pull everything together. It worked out great though, because now he has a BRAND NEW edit that I know will blow minds to go with this. “What I’ve done here is successfully perform the meticulous task of blacking out an etch-a-sketch with vertical lines. When you do this you can see a metal cross hair and this cute little drawing pad’s magic evaporates. If you don’t believe me try the experiment for yourselves; it’s an excellent usage of time.”

Alistair Whitton Interview

I had the chance to meet Alistair for the first time when I was in Chicago for the Dew Tour. He was playing super dad running all over the place with his kid. It was really cool to see a side of a pro you normally wouldn’t. I finally pulled my act together to get Alistair an interview, and I am pretty stoked on it. He recently got an injury that is keeping him off his bike for a bit, so this gave him a few minutes to kill. Quick Interview with Dennis Enarson

While I was at the Dew Tour there was quite a bit of down time. The people over at Matador had a booth set up for Dennis to do an autograph signing, and asked if I would be into asking him a few questions. I decided it wouldn’t be a half bad idea. I just had to wait a bit while Dennis fought off all the high school chicks swarming him. Seriously, the kid is a ladies man. I really didn’t have any questions in mind so we kind of winged it. Dennis probably had a million questions thrown his way that day so I wanted to keep it short. Here is just a few questions and some photos I snapped during the weekend there.

Dew Tour Photos 3

Here are the photos I didn’t use on Dig from the third day of the Dew Tour. This is the final day and quite the experience. I won’t lie, I am not a very good photographer. I had never shot an event like the Dew Tour before, and definitely not a vert contest before. I think as time goes on things might get better, but I don’t want people to get the impression that I think I am awesome. As time goes on, I hope I become awesome. So check out the photos, feel free to leave comments. I’ll take some critiques too but I may have valid reasons. At least for the vert haha.

Brian Kachinsky had a autograph signing for Action Village in the morning of the third day. I didn’t have anything to do so I came and hung out with him. Brian signed a poster for me with Vikings x’ed out. He’s from Wisconsin, and I am from Minnesota. So we got a bit of Vikings Packers rivalry. I shut him down when I asked him how he felt about Brett Favre playing for the Vikings this year. Brian is still the man though!

CB Coombs Interview

Its weird how BMX is. I remember being really stoked on the videos CB was posting on Bike Guide years back. We didn’t really ever talk very much on there or anything, but now its different. CB has really done a good job of keeping the video ass kicking game going with the AOTC videos him and Chris Z have been putting together.
