Red Bull Trick or Treat Course Layout and Riders List

October 7, 2008

Chris over at Kink gave me a real good idea of what this contest was going to be about during Interbike. Today, I check my email and find photos of what the ramps will be and who will be attending so far. You won’t want to miss this. Below is the flyer, and then you can see two drawing of what the ramp set up is looking like so far. A tombstone and a coffin. The deminsions look to be huge! You won’t want to miss this contest.

From Chris: Here’s the final rider list for my contest too. Catfish and Micah are MC’ing. Kevin Robinson, Mark Flipowitz and Jimmy Rathbun are guest judges. Kink video premier. Big afterparty with a band, Go Go dancers and lots and lots of beer. Should be a shitload of fun.
I’m gonna forward you the Red Bull artist renditions of 2 of the halloween oriented obstacles from my other email. This will be the 1st time anyone has seen them because i’ve kept it under wraps till now. Only change is that on the RIP wallride it has a giant quarter in the front instead of a wedge.
The coffin box in the 2nd pic is 4 feet tall, 22 feet long and 16 feet wide to put that into some perspective. The quarters are 8 feet wide on the top and bottom. On the sides the upper wedges are 8 feet wide and the lowers are 12 feet wide. 26 pieces total and 2 moving trucks to move that ramp alone. HOLY FUCK!!!!!
We’re trying to buy a Hearse to build off but everyone on craiglist is a dick and wants a ton for them.

Edit: I got another email from Chris and this is all it said “I just bought a Hearse”. How many times can you say that in your life?

Hope you can make it out.

Talem Cowart Interview

October 6, 2008

I had the chance to meet Talem at the YMCA park in Las Vegas during Interbike. The guy absolutely kills it on a BMX and has an awesome personality to back it up. He has had some big changes when it comes to sponsors recently and I imagine the good things will keep going for him too. Don’t forget to leave some comments for him.

Talem Cowart BMX

Name:
Talem Cowart

Location:
Atlanta Georgia

Sponsors:
Sputnic, Profile, Lifetime Bike Shop

Years riding:
8

When you first started riding did you ever think it would bring you to where you are today?
Oh my gosh no. Its still pretty crazy to me. I feel like i havent really been too many places, but the places ive been and the friends that i have met through just a bike is so amazing. Its cool to think about that you can call up anyone in any state that rides bikes and their just like “yeah its cool, you can stay with me!” Thats the coolest part to me.

I had the chance to meet you in Las Vegas, so I know you travel a bit. Where are some of your favorite places you have had the chance to travel to?
I would definitely have to say California! Im from the East Coast and the street out there is so much different and awesome! Plus you cant really beat the weather out there, its what everyone wishes you could have during the winter out in Atlanta. Oh yeah and the beach…cant forget that! ha.

Where are some places you would really like to go to someday?
That list good go on. I just wanna go wherever! Im down for anywhere! Overseas would be cool!

Talem Cowart BMX

How are things going with Kink and all your sponsors these days? Any big news like signature parts or big trips planned at all?
Dude, everything at kink is going really good right now, they are putting out cool stuff! I actually though ride for Sputnic Bikes now. Pretty new, only been on the team i guess you could say for like a week now. But its awesome! Johnny is the coolest and nicest person ever. And He always puts me in a positive mood too, so you cant really beat that! Plus Johnny just lives a state away so thats nice!

Safety First will be out soon. Will you still have a part or any clips in that even though you just left for Sputnic? Also, do you have any other filming going on like web videos or other video parts?
haha, since im not on Kink anymore, Darryl just gave me all my clips back! Thanks so much for that too Darryl. If you ever get the chance to meet darryl, he is the nicest and realest dude ever! I think what were doing with all the clips is putting together a Sputnic/ Vital edit. I guess the video is kinda gonna be the announcement of me on the team.

For as big as Atlanta is, I feel like there isn’t a whole lot of talk about the scene down there. What is it like, and who is your typical riding crew?
Thats so true, I dont even know why it isnt talked about much. There is alot of riders down here but i think the difference with kids down here is they dont get out of the state much and ride. Thats not a bad thing cause all the locals down here just chill and ride and aren’t to into the typical bmx scene. Its cool, everyone down here is so layed back and nobody takes riding really that serious. So its good. I usually ride with the locals in ATL like Niles, Matty, Chris, and the Nashville boys come down all the time, and we go up there, so we ride with nathan and shane! Bout it for me! haha. I have gotten to ride with Corey Martinez once! hahah

You are a brakeless rider, how do you feel about it as whole, do you feel like the trend will fade or continue to grow?
I dunno if i would even say its a trend. Alot of people think that, but i just think everyone that does it really loves it and enjoying the feeling of just chillin with no brakes! Its so fun. I think kids just wanna do something new, and everyones doing it so that helps! haha. I love the no brakes!

If you could go on a road trip with any 5 people, who would you bring, where would you go, and why?
thats a good question……….Nathan and Shane for sure. And Probably E Man and Boy, and Rual! Those kids are seriously the craziest funnyest people i have ever met! Seriously are too funny and are always happy. I wish i could hang out with more people like that.

Talem Cowart BMX

You are pretty much the king of Vader jams, what are some other tricks you really like to do?
Haha. Not at all! I could name so many people that do them more consistent! I dont pull them too consistently

What is one trick you cannot do for the life of you?
Tables or turndowns!

How do you feel about contests like the X-Games and Dew Tour? Would you ever ride in one if you were given the chance?
I think they’re awesome! I wish i was good enough to ride in one of those things! Be so crazy doing all those tricks. I dont think i would ever ride one if i was given the chance cause i would just go out there and make a fool of myself!!

If you could relive any session or time on your bike, when would you pick and why?
wow, ummmm………Corey, Nathan, Brad, Seth, Alfredo, and me rode the Santa Ana banks in California and it was just super chill and so much fun. One of the best for me for sure cause i had never ridden there….just saw Brain Castillo ride em in Nowhere Fast and they looked like so much fun!

The session he wishes he could relive just happened to be on youtube.

If you could change anything about BMX, what would you change and why?
For everyone to have more fun and less hate like the Give D dudes!!!!

What do you think you would be up to if you never got involved with BMX?
I honestly dont even know. Its weird to even think about that.

Outside of riding what are you usually up to?
Hanging out with the ol girlfriend, and going out and having fun with all my friends.

Do you work or go to school at all? If so, what do you do or what are you going for?
Funny, I actually just got a job at Planet Smoothie yesterday. Its really good smoothies! Come see me sometime, ill hook you up!

What kinds of music are you into? Are you one to ride with head phones or not so much?
Naw I dont really listen to the headphones much cause they always fall out of my ears. If im just cruisin through the city though, then the headphones are loud and ON! Probably banggin some T.I., Wayne, Bone Thugs, Jeezy, Biggy, Old school Nelly is the best though! For bands I like switchfoot, mewithoutyou, Bright eyes and all that stuff! Random mix for sure.

What kind of girls are you into? What is your best trick to picking up girls?
hahaha, yeah right! I dont get girls! haha. I got one girl though and shes was pretty hard to get, so maybe there is a little trick… Just be yourself and honest? haha

If you could live like somebody famous for a week, who would you pick and why?
wow. A rapper! They seem like they live a wild lifestyle! haha. I could carry a gun and get loose! haha

Talem Cowart BMX

If you won the lottery, what would be the first 5 things you would do with it?
Depends on how much…..help out my friends with whatever they needed, probably just be super generous with it and share the wealth!

Do you have any plans on voting? Feel like sharing how you feel about it?
I think i actually am. Im still kinda undecided, I like alot of things about both parties!

What are some things you would like to accomplish in the next few years?
Wow. Live a more free life, not be tied down with anything. Just always wanted to treat people the way i would wanna be treated. Keep riding and having as much fun as possible. Only live once right!

If you could be sponsored by any company that has nothing to do with BMX, who would you pick and why?
haha, never thought about that……Apple Computers!!! hahah Duhh

What is something crazy that has happened to you that nobody really believes?
I thought i was going to lose my life by a east L.A. police officer at a school with Boy and Eman! Thanks for that Mr. Officer!

Have you ever been in a fight or arrested? Did you win, or what for?
uhhhhhhh………. hahaha

You got yourself an IPhone, do you have any favorite applications you think people should check out?
haha I just got it cause its the cool thing to do and everyone was doing it! Naw, it really is the best phone ever! So nice! Apple changed my life! haha

If you could have 3 wishes, what would you wish for and why?
That i would never lose sight of my purpose, that ide treat people good, and try not to judge people. Thats so hard to do!

Personally, what do you feel some of your biggest accomplishments in your life have been?
umm….not to sure. Im thankful for everyone thats helped me out through riding. Jay at kink, Johnny and Sputnic, Matt at Profile, and Chris Maheffey! And my bestfriends! I think anything your happy with is an accomplishment!

What is the best advice you can give somebody?
Figure out what makes you tick and go and do that. Dont let anything stop you from doing your thing. No matter what that is, just do it, and dont listen to nobody. People will always hate, thats the way it is. Just be you!

Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
ummm… yes! Johnny, Jay, Darryl, Nathan, Corey, Shane, Seth, Matty, Greg, Brandon, Johnny, Lauren, Parents, Ron at Sparkys! Everyone!

Anything else you would like to say?
Man im tired! haha Have fun and go do some no handers!

On the Horizon: S&M Bikes

October 3, 2008

With so many years involved in this sport, I figured it was time to talk to the guy who helped shape it. Chris Moeller was nice enough to answer some questions about what S&M has going on these days.

I know, I used this photo already in another post. However, it has Chris on the left and me on the far right so it is automatically useable for this.

Starting off to remind some of us, and tell the new kids in BMX. What does S&M stand for, when did it all get started, and are you the only owner or is there some other guys involved?
It was originally Scott & Moeller which was my partner and my last names. We got out first frames in 1987, and he was my partner until 1990 when I took it over solo.

There are many different brands under one roof at the S&M warehouse, what are those brands, and what is a typical day like in the building?
We are currently doing S&M, Fit and Revenge stuff in the building. There really isn’t a typical day, except to say it’s always busy and a cool place to work.

S&M Bikes

Is there any plans of adding more brands into the building, moving, renovating, expanding, or is it pretty much set as far as you can see?
We are pretty set for now. We won’t be adding anything anytime too soon but we are trying to make better use of the space we have.

Who are the guys who run things behind the scenes from design, welders, and other hands that nobody ever hears about really at S&M?
Neal Wood is the head designer, Jason Ball is the shop manager, Nick Benson is on Sales, Juan in the warehouse and Elise and Chris Iten in the office. Everyone at S&M/Fit kicks ass and we wouldn’t be around with out all the effort.

With the recent re-release of the Dirt Bike, and the release of the L.T.F; what does S&M have going on for the hard products people know and love?
Signature frames in 2009 for Tony, Randy, Cam for starters.

S&M Bikes

How about the things like t-shirts, stickers, and other just miscellaneous things that go along with the things S&M offers, anything new in that department?
Just got a batch of new Tee’s and hats. The orange war bird is bananas, and the Stones shield logo Tee is hot.

S&M BMX

It has been a little while since the last dvd was released, do you have any plans for a new please kill me, web videos, or just anything related to filming planned anytime soon?
I Wanna Live is in the works now. There is a trailer on Def Grip. Once we get a new website… we’ll start having regular web edits.

S&M I Wanna Live Trailer from Defgrip on Vimeo.

Is there any plans for some trips with the team?
They’ve been all over filming I Wanna Live, the UK, Australia, Canada, you name it. They’ll do some more traveling in 2009 for the premiers.

Speaking of the team, recently Matt Beringer was named TM which is pretty self explanatory as to why you picked him. So, what is the current list of Pros, flows, and other people you guys are hooking up? Is there going to be any new additions to the team this year?
Things are kind of up in the air right now for 2009. Things should be set by December so I’ll let you know then.

It says on the site that you suggest people go through there shop to get involved with a sponsor deal from you guys. How do you and Matt go about picking people for the team after that?
Right now we’re pretty set…we can’t afford any new riders. Normally we just rely on the other team riders and/or friends. For instance, Van really helped get Randy on, and Empire really pushed for Tony. In both cases it worked out great!

In your interview not to long ago you said that people take things so seriously now that you can’t do the ads like back in the day. What are some of the biggest changes with S&M as a company since the start so many years ago compared to now?
The parts are definitely more tech so it’s a little harder to manufacture, but the business is still basically the same. Starting Fit and growing it with the complete bikes has been a big change for the business so that’s been cool. It’s definitely been a learning curve dealing with all that but I like the challenge. This business is still fun and I can’t imagine doing some regular job.

When was the last time you saw an ad of a pro pissing?

What is your ideal goal for S&M in the next 5-10 years? What can people expect and count on in that time also?
I would like our American manufacturing operation to grow and all our products get better. Expect it when you least expect it!

The warranty department is on top of things obviously, who is in charge of that department and how can people go about contacting him to get things checked out or replaced?
Mckinney and Dylan are handling it now but we are looking for a full time Customer Service person now…so apply if that sounds good. You can call or e-mail either of them at anytime.

Where can people pick up S&M products, and who should shops and distributors contact to get your stuff in their stores and warehouses?
Check out any of our Partner Dealers on the website dealer locators, new customers should call or e-mail Nick Benson.

How often does your company get mistaken for the sex industry with S&M gear those nymphos love so much?
It happens once in awhile…and it’s always a treat. I got an e-mail from an undercover vice cop that busted a prostitute while he was wearing an S&M shirt. She never saw it coming.

Is there anything else you would like to throw out there for us?
Thanks for the interview

Levis DVD Review

October 2, 2008

Edit: With the video being released to the internet for free it was bound to happen before schedule. This is the Levi’s BMX Video in full length right here.

Alright, I have been dragging ass on this one. I don’t know why. I had the opportunity to check it out at NORA Cup and I probably should have done it that night. I slacked, but here it is.. My review on the Levi’s DVD.

Levis BMX

Edit: I got an email from Will Stroud so I updated some information in here about where else you can pick it up. I also added in other things I forgot due to doing this at 7:30 in the morning after waking up. I marked my fixes with a bold Edit so you can find them.

To start it out first of all Levi’s did an AMAZING job of letting the world know there would be a BMX video coming out from them. I think people were anticipating it from the second the team, then the flow team was picked. It was always on your mind because every week they would have a new Levi’s edit on Vital BMX with amazing riding. I honestly had to question how they were going to make a full length video if they had so many amazing tricks in the web videos.

With names like Corey Martinez, Jamie Bestwick, Anthony Napolitan, and Morgan Wade you cannot go wrong. That is literally a stacked team right there by itself. Then guys like Ron Thomas, Brett Walker, Dakota Roche, Jeremiah Smith, Nathan Williams, Ronnie Napolitan, Zack Warden, and Johnny Stevens as the flow team, who were personally picked by the pros, it is also stacked.

Levis BMX Premiere/Nora Cup

A little shot of some of the people at Nora Cup and the Levis premiere.

So the premiere was last Wednesday at NORA Cup, a room full of BMX riders, half of which were hammered drunk due to Levi’s picking up the tab for the open bar if I remember right? The video was honestly all the talk during Interbike that day. I personally was freaking out because I was following the video pretty well with the web videos and everything, I couldn’t figure out what to expect and just had to see it.

Obviously the riding was great. Those guys had the chance to travel so much this past year to film at so many good spots. Basically it went in sections divided up by the pro, and their picks for the flow team. It is hard not to want to talk about the tricks that went down because there were so many that I feel like telling you one or two really wouldn’t effect much. all I am going to say is that Martinez and his crew have the ender part, and it had my jaw on the dirty ass floor by the end of it.

Edit: I apparently forgot who rides with who for which sections so I will break it down for you here.

The video goes like this. The intro which was similar to the trailer on Vital. The first part goes to Anthony Napolitan with Jeremiah Smith and Ronnie Napolitan Zack Warden with Ron Thomas. Jamie Bestwick pretty much had his own part. Next up is Morgan Wade with Brett Walker and Johnny Stevens. The final part is Corey Martinez with Nathan Williams and Dakota Roche, which obviously finishes with the credits.

The pro and the flow guys they picked all have sections together, mixed. So the pro with their flow guys in one part. Then the following pro, etc. since that seems to have confused some of the kids online.

See More BMX Videos at VitalBMX.com

The filming and editing… Honestly, if you follow BMX videos, and have knowledge of other videos, you will know that when I say Will Stroud did an amazing job you will understand. The clips were clean, they weren’t rushed into the next clip, proper set up time and ender time. They obviously were using the best of the best equipment too so it was all real clean and smooth. The editing was good too. I personally liked how they broke it down into 4 parts between the pro and his picks. It really showed how the guys are connected in some way. I do editing, I don’t claim to be amazing, but I know how much easier it is to edit when you have some amazing stuff to work with. I don’t know if that is the same for Will, but if it is that way, I think he had it pretty easy haha.

The music was all good, nothing too hardcore, all pretty easy going. To be honest, I can’t think of any songs in particular for the video. I just remember I really liked how it all went together really well with the riding and pace of the video.

See More BMX Videos at VitalBMX.com

The length of the video was right about 45 minutes… In those 45 minutes you see some real good stuff, and will probably want to go ride right after.

You won’t be able to buy this video anywhere, well, in a way you can buy it. The video will be coming in every issue of the new Dig Issue 67. That will be the only place you can get it. You cannot buy it on Albes, Dans or Empire, as far as right now at least. So, get your hands on a copy of that magazine and you got the video. I think you will like having this video in your collection.

Edit: The video will also be available for free download through the Levi’s site – LevisBMX.com sometime in December after the Dig issue comes out, as well as airing on Fuel TV starting Nov 17.

So overall, I think you should check it out. It shows that money talks in a sense, Levis was going to pump money into BMX, and they did it the right way. They picked an awesome guy to film and edit, then picked a team that kills it. Threw down the money for trips and filming time, and then produced a video that had a lot of kids talking. You know you want to check it out. Do it.

Give D! Summer of Rot Review

September 28, 2008

I have been talking with Alex from Give D! for quite a while on AIM and e-mail. He even posts on here from time to time. I had a pretty good idea what Give D! was all about, or at least I thought I did until this week.
I spent this week hanging out with those guys during Interbike and I seriously doubt that if I wasn’t with them it wouldn’t have been nearly as amazing. Whatever you had heard about the crew wheather it be good or bad, forget it. They kick ass. That sums it up. That’s all you need to know. They get everyone super excited about everything and it makes for good times. You can be edge, or a crack head and still feel like you fit in when they go party. No, there was no crack involved in this past week I am just saying they probably party harder than those dudes anyways.

Back to my point! The Summer of Rot DVD!

Give D!’s version of the Electronical ad.

The video premiered at the Odyssey booth on Thursday at 4:20. It was pretty funny they made flyers and somehow they ended up all over Interbike. The crowd got pretty big. Infact, Alex got a threat from some D-Bag security guy saying that if people didn’t start moving out he would be paying for extra security. Whatever, the video was almost over and no extra security had to come. Just a bunch of kids stoked on BMX.

I am not going to lie, this video wasn’t filmed in HD, it wasn’t filmed to be super high quality. It was meant to show the good times had by them, which it did so good. They actually finished up the editing on Tuesday night, drove to Vegas to be there by Wednesday morning with the video in hand, but decided to wait till Thursday to show it. That just saws awesome all over it.

The riders are obviously guys like Dirt Ron, Chris Hervan, Hoang Tran, Kyle Hart to name a few you are probably more firmilliar with. The crew is pretty big though so don’t think they are the only good riders because that is a lie. In the video they ride some really good spots from parks, street, bowls, bongs.. I mean what? 420? 69? oh yeah.

The music was awesome. It had heavy hardcore stuff, all the way to “It’s Raining Men” so I am sure you can find at least one song that best fits you right? I am sure it is raining men all over your pants right now.. I know this.

If you were ever into any of the Give D! edits that ended up on pretty much every website due to awesomeness then you will like this DVD. If you didn’t like the edit, well, theres a good chance your friends did like the edits so you will probably end up watchin this.

It hasn’t hit the duplicators yet… Actually, it was only burned to a DVD-R so far. Expect it to start popping up all over for purchase in the next two weeks. Get stoked. I think they are selling it at least? I don’t know. Alex let me know!

420 69 all day.

Brighton Ain’t Ready Review

September 28, 2008

It’s 5:30 a.m here in Las Vegas and I am sitting in the airport just chillin out until my flight. I am going to post up two reviews, one from the Brighton Ain’t Ready premiere and then one from Give D! Summer of Rot to keep me entertained for a bit.

The wildest thing about the Brighton Ain’t Ready premiere was the fact that half the dudes in the video were sitting right there watching it too. That was one of the weirdest things to do because if a clip was awesome, you couldn’t get too excited, or if it was a little sketchy you couldn’t say ..eh.. Well, I am sure you could but I wasn’t going to be the guy to find out what happens if you do.

So the whole story behind the Brighton Ain’t Ready video is the Seventies Distro took all of the companies they distribute’s teams and let them crash in an apartment. Every few weeks a new team would come in and they would all go out riding and filming for the dvd. It was a pretty awesome idea in my opinion. It is awesome because you get all these different personalities and put them in the same spots and they all can produce different things.

I am not saying the whole video is a repeat of spots though. It wasn’t all that repetitive at all really. Brighton must have a shit load of spots because it didn’t seem like they were stressing it too much either.

So for the riders you have Federal, Duo, Fremont/Lotek, Hoffman, Kink, Little Devil (R.I.P), Macneil, Mutiny, Orchid, Integral, Subrosa, Shadow Conspiracy, Terrible One, and Tree. So, take all your favorite pros from those teams and then imagine a video of them riding some really amazing spots. Yeah, there wasn’t a shortage of awesome.
If you recall, I don’t really try and go too into detail on what riding goes down just because so many people get pissed if I say a trick that happens. Acting like I posted the video on Youtube for you cheap asses to watch. Ha! So that is about all I can really say. Amazing riders, amazing riding, amazing spots.

The filming and editing was great. They took a lot of time to get it together and that is very obvious. The filming was real smooth, good colors, with a lot of really good angles. The editing side of things was real good too. Clips weren’t cut out early, they went together well, and they managed to get from one crew to the next, one rider to the next smooth and keep it entertaining.

The video was like 40 minutes long if I remember right (I watched a few other videos this past week so I am getting the length a bit confused) and it honestly didn’t feel like it at all. I was real entertained and actually pretty bummed when it was all over.

The music was also really good. It had a good mix of everything and it wasn’t over the top ever. No heavy rap, no heavy rock, just really chill music that went with the riding really well.

If you are a street rider I advise you to at least check this out once. If you ride BMX in general I think you would enjoy it. They put 6 months of riding into it, with amazing riders, awesome personalities and good spots.

As of right now since it just premiered earlier this month, and then at Interbike so it isn’t at any of the mailorders yet. I am sure in the next two weeks it should be available everywhere so keep your eyes open. You won’t be disappointed.

Interbike and Nora Cup Review

September 27, 2008

You know how they say time flies when your having fun. It is about the truest thing that can describe what these last 6 days have been for me. What I am going to try and do is review what all went down and hopefully it will be entertaining enough to read it all the way through. These next few paragraphs should include Interbike, Nora Cup, Limo parties, Give D!, bike riding, and just awesomeness in general. Maybe if you ever considered going to this event, and are able to go, you will want to go next year. I don’t know, that is for you to decide right?

So lets start this out how I did it earlier this week. I flew in to Las Vegas on Sunday, a few days early due to flights being dirty cheap and direct. This was actually my first time flying also so it was a pretty awesome experience right there.

I spent monday, and tuesday just wandering around the strip checking out sights and figuring out where the hell I was. I met these two girls on the plane and they decided it would be fun to show me around since they are from here. So that was my first few days…

Once Wednesday had rolled around the fun really started up. As I walked into the convention center I really had no idea what to expect, I just knew there was a lot going on and a whole lot of people who ride bikes. So, I started my adventure through the BMX zone meeting with all the guys. It was cool to meet a lot of the people I did interviews with and see some people I haven’t seen in a while. To be honest, I had this plan on how I would get a ton of info and photos on the all the products thinking it would be easy. Nope, after close to 5 hours of meeting with people, taking pictures, getting all the info. I forgot so much! So I am leaving the details to the professionals at Ride and Vital. That would explain my shortness of words with a bunch of photos in my posts of products.

After the long day it was off with the Give D! crew for some food and then some Nora Cup action. It was pretty awesome to finally go to Nora Cup. I remember every year I would just sy wow I wish I could go there someday… and then I was there. It was pretty awesome to be able to experience that. I owe a big thanks to Keith and the rest of the Ride BMX crew for getting me in since I really am not of age to be there in the first place. They take it pretty serious there, I mean Garrett Reynolds was dragged out of the place after winning his award for drinking beer out of his cup haha. So awesome! That night I went to bed listening to Vince Kroff singing “It’s raining men” haha so good.

Thursday morning was rough… I woke up and had no motivation to get over to the convention center.. So I hung back at the hotel well some of the other dudes headed over. I eventually got to the place in time for the Give D! Summer of Rot DVD premiere. I will actually be doing a review so I won’t be going to into detail right now. After that a bunch of us got together and hit up Chipotle. On our way down the strip Daniel Dhers was walking towards us and I think I scared the shit out of him.. I started screaming “OMG OMG IT’S DANIEL DHERS! THAT GUY FROM TV! OMG OMG DANIEL DHERS!” He seriously looked like he was going to take off running the other way until he realized what was going down. Sorry about that Daniel, but it was awesome. After that some of the crew took off to do a little street riding and the rest of us walked around on the strip picking up stripper cards and giving homeless people with arms hats we found until Justin Kosman had the limo for the party ready. We all loaded up into a stretch hummer. When I say we all I mean the Give D! crew, Spam, Dave Jacobs, Catfish, Kachinsky, and myself. We rolled in that to the Mosh party at the Hard Rock. That party was pretty good, I never actually made it into the party part but the majority of the people were chilling out by the bar anyways since the band was loud as hell. I proceeded to get intoxicated with Francis from Odyssey (who by the way is a kickass dude!) and then got a ride home to my hotel from my newly aquired friend from the plane Ashley.

Friday was even worse getting myself up for the last day of Interbike. I honestly didn’t take a single picture that day. I had nothing left to give. So I got there, a bunch of us just hung out for a bit, then went riding. Somehow Kyle Hart managed to get 8 people, 7 bikes, and bags into his truck and to the YMCA skatepark. It was a super good session, a lot of people were there. Miles Rogoish was filming for the next Tuesdays with Miles for BNQT so that should be up Tuesday. There was a lot of guys riding so that video should be awesome. After riding we headed over to the Sonic we saw on our way there. None of us have ever had it, just saw a lot of commercials for it.So that was badass. After that (I feel bad saying we but there is a lot of names) we got back to the strip and met up with the rest of the Give D! crew and they got situated. I headed back to my hotel, and they headed back to San Diego. I uploaded a bunch of pictures and got whatever I could done on here.

Saturday was lame, I have been in my hotel pretty much all day finishing uploading and posting pictures on here. Killing time until tomorrow morning when I have to be at the airport by 5 a.m to fly back to Minnesota. So that was my week of awesomeness. I plan on coming next year and have learned what I have to do too haha. Now I am going to take my bike apart and get my stuff ready for the trek home tomorrow. Thanks for reading.

No, that isn’t KC’s dick. It is a toy dick.

It was really cool meeting Gaz and Joe since I have been emailing with them for a while now. So naturally I was excited to get to the Mutiny stuff. They really got some good looking stuff coming out!
