Calvin Kosovich & Travis Hughes – Skate Spots App Session

July 2, 2020

Sometimes you need a little help finding some fresh spots to ride! Calvin Kosovich and Travis Hughes decided to give the Skate Spots App a try to find a few new ones to stack some clips on! Here’s a raw cut Our BMX uploaded from the day of riding they got in! Hit play to see what they came across and what got thrown down!

“Nothing beats hitting some unfamiliar streets with your homies and seeing what you find. Putting in the work to discover new spots is fun and feels super rewarding when you uncover a gem. Then there are the days where you really want to just ride something and may not feel like rolling the dice and potentially come up empty handed exploring—which is where the Skate Spots App comes in. Some people may curse its very existence, while others live by it. We meet up with Calvin Kosovich and Travis Hughes for a day of riding and we decided to try something new and picked spots off the App—and of course we found some off the map spots along the way as well. It was a long day and we had multiple guests meet up throughout, including Dakota Roche, Andrew Castaneda, Tony Neyer, and Aaron Brenner.” – Our BMX

First Marks – Paul Thölen & Tom van den Bogaard

July 2, 2020

Daaaaaang this place looks amazing! Freedom BMX just uploaded this new one featuring Paul Tholen and Tom van den Bogaard getting some laps in at this amazing new park in Eberswalde over in Germany! These guys both bring a good mix of style, plenty of boost and speed to this place. Hit play and start wishing you had this place to ride every day!

“Paul Thölen and Tom Van Den Bogaard were recently in Eberswalde to test the new bowl from Schneestern. You won’t find any rails and ledges here, there is a lot of smooth concrete, perfect for smooth lines and a lot of airtime. The facility in the forest sports facility Eberswalde-Finow consists of a large concrete bowl and a pump track that leads around the outside. “Flow” is the magic word here. What a damn cool part! But see for yourself …

Brian Tunney – June 2020 Clips

July 2, 2020

Brian Tunney keeping the monthly videos going! Although it sounds like June wasn’t the best month for him riding wise, it looks like Brain pushed through to get some sessions and film a few clips! Take a look at what he came up with!

“So it’s June, 2020, and by the end of May, I was still going down the undertaker rabbit hole I’ve been visiting since last year. I knew it had to end, or at least lay dormant for a time, but I wanted to get undertaker to gerator to backyard to undertaker filmed just once before I let up on undertakers. It was not an easy task for me, but it eventually happened.

The rest of the month, my motivation was in the toilet. I still went out and managed a few things but I also understand that stepping back is just as important as riding.

Then came the peg-to-peg decade. It’s a trick in the don’t mess with box for me, because I’ve fallen, really bad, more than a few times, when I attempted it as teen. I managed one, then two this past month. And the wheels in my brain started turning. It’s still something I want to explore but I’m also just a little excited that I managed to overcome a past fear and move a tiny bit past it. I’ve still got a long way to go, and I might never get there, but for the time being, it’s nice to revisit a piece of BMX past.” – Brian Tunney

Colombians In France

July 2, 2020

Remember when traveling was a thing? The trips have slowed down for most of us, but fortunately we’re still seeing a steady low of footage to keep the stoke up. Here’s a video from a trip Santiago Laverde and a few others from Colombia took to France to cruise street spots and parks before the shutdowns started up. Based on the footage, it looks like this was a real good time. We’re sure they are stoked they got this trip in before things got weird!

“Our DIG Locals series is usually reserved for unsponsored riders, but Colombia’s Santiago Laverde sent through this one from pre-covid time and a trip to France that himself and a bunch of friends from back home took. Nothing but good vibes.
