Tate Roskelley – Best of 2019

December 27, 2019

When you see Tate Roskelley‘s name pop up, you know you’re likely going to see something crazy or unique done on a BMX bike you never thought of or even thought possible. Here’s a fresh Instagram compilation with some of Tate’s best clips he dropped online! Some worked out, some didn’t and some are just downright funny. Take a look and be prepared to rewind a few times to fully take a few of these clips in!

“Tate Roskelley is without a doubt one of the most creative riders in BMX. His innovative style of riding leans more towards conceptual than actual trick based—making for some truly one-of-a-kind videos. Since joining the GT team last year, Tate has dropped some seriously ingenious clips on his Instagram, he dug through the treasure trove and came up with these gems that he considers to be his best Instagram clips of 2019.” – GT Bicycles

Stephan Atencio – New Kid In Town

December 27, 2019

It has been a little bit since we’ve seen Stephan Atencio‘s name pop up, but it looks like he’s made some big moves in that time! Stephan made the move to BMX mecca Barcelona, Spain to see what he could do in the city. Based on this BANGER of a video, it’s safe to say the move has been a really good move and he’s been absolutely slaying spots all over the city during his time there. Hit play because this is one BMX video you can’t pass up. If you aren’t familiar with Stephan’s riding, you’ll want to get this guy on your radar for sure.

… So many bangers.

“There’s a new kid in town!

This guy has talent pouring out of him along with some serious fucking cojones. We can’t wait to see more from Stephan – someone get this guy hooked up!

SVQCREW – Raw Clips

December 27, 2019

Quique Rico hit us with a link to this raw cut featuring the Seville Crew out cruising spots and having some fun over in Spain! This is a mix of riding and random footage, but there’s some gems mixed throughout. If you’re only into the riding, it starts about 2 minutes in. Check it!

“Video recorded with friends from Barcelona, Seville and Cadiz, the decision to make this video in raw is to transmit and bring you closer to what is the feeling of the Bmx beyond sponsors or promotional videos, the essence we want to keep it and maybe the tricks or the riders are the best, but the enjoyment is maximum so we say goodbye to the year teaching our bmx THANKS TO ALL” – Quique Rico

Tim Schoberth – The Road to Pegless

December 27, 2019

It’s always interesting when a rider decides to change things up for a new challenge or just to skake up their riding in general. Tim Schoberth decided to mix things up and take his pegs off to see what he could do on his bike without them. Here’s a look at what went down as he went from 4 pegs down to none over the course of the edit. Based on what we’re seeing, it looks like his tricks changed up a bit but it did, in our opinion, also seem to add a little more style to his riding. Take a look!

“Grindstangen, yes or no? Tim Schoberth has long pondered this question. After a long back and forth, the member of the canceled crew now seems to have decided. But read for yourself:

“I had a couple of different miniDV camcorders in my possession since last year, so it was only natural to film a complete video in SD. At the beginning of the year I read Tom Wolfe’s book ‘The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test’ about psychedelic Bustrip read by Ken Kesey, which inspires all the trippy visuals in the video, I really couldn’t decide for a long time whether my Pegs should stay on or Pegless is the ‘right way’, but now it is final goes on without tricks. Thanks to David Schaller, Artur Meister and Valle Seuss for filming, the whole canceled crew, to everyone I cycled with in 2019 and to everyone who supports me, you know who you are! Regenerations

December 26, 2019

When you start getting older, it’s always rad to see the younger generation of riders starting to take things, pushing riding to new levels. Viki Gomez and Sevisual teamed up for this video showing the future of flatland over in Japan! Many of the featured kids in this video are on 18″ bikes and the stuff they are doing is unreal for their age! When they’re getting this good at such a young age, you can only imagine what the future may hold. This also features a ton of amazing riding from Yu and Ryo Katagiri who are absolutely crushing it at 19, and even riding from the “old guys” Yohei Uchino and Viki Gomez, too! Hit play and take it all in!

“A new generation of young riders inspired by older generations are regenerating BMX Flatland.
Their riding regenerates our riding.
This video is dedicated to them!
