Albe’s Old School BMX Show

Are you looking for a good time? Well, the guys at Albe’s have one for you! On March 26th they will be having and Old School BMX Show at their shop in Warren, Michigan (close to Detroit). They will have free pizza, cheap beer, a TON of old school BMX bikes on display and Haro brand manager John Buultjens and the legend Dennis McCoy there as well! Brooke Betancourt Video – Glenn Salyers Signature Standard Frame

Here’s a video to go along with a Bike Check we spotted over on the Albe’s website that got our attention. This bike check is with Brooke Betancourt who was the girlfriend of the late Glenn Salyers, who we lost last year. Prior to Glenn’s death, he was working with Standard on a signature frame, that ultimately never ended up going into production. Rick Moliterno still went ahead and made a few and he gave one to Brooke to ride. Above is a look at her building it up and riding it around. If you check the site on a regular basis, there’s a good chance you caught a post we did where we compiled a bunch of parts to make the MOST EXPENSIVE CUSTOM BMX BIKE, which was based off of current prices of frames and parts we found online. Albe’s X Baco 2015 Bonfire / Rail Jam

If you haven’t caught on by now that the Baco Jam last weekend was fueled by fire, booze and bad decisions, then you probably weren’t paying very close attention. After the contest at the skatepark ended for the day, everyone headed back to the Albe’s villa for a fire. Zack Gerber decided to heat the fire up and put on his own jam with the Subrosa Street Rail OVER A FIRE. Check out what went down… I wonder who won the $50.

“Zack Gerber became the master of ceremonies at the Albe’s BMX bonfire on Saturday night at the BACO Jam in Warrens, Wi. A rail jam broke out and only one X-Games gold medalist was set on fire.* Not sure if the video or the audio is more entertaining.
