It’s time for Chris Doyle and Kris Bennett to sit down and watch Mike Aitken‘s part from the Square One “Wide Awake Nightmare” video. This is one hell of a part with Mike’s serious ability to ride anything and everything really showing through. Hit play and take it all in!
“Day 6 in our ‘Twelve days of Aitken,’ which is a retrospective look at Mike Aitken’s BMX career as seen through the eyes of some of those who know him best via a selection of his hugely influential video parts, reaches the halfway mark, and what better section to reminisce about than Mikey’s part in the Square One’s critically acclaimed “Wide Awake Nightmare?”
This was arguably the tipping point for Mike’s riding, where he had elevated his style to one that was heavily imitated (even the girl pants), but never duplicated. Those rubber-leg inverts, the effortless flow, that flawless swag oozing out of every clip. Mike demonstrated here the pinnacle of what can be defined as the all-around rider of the new millennium. Square One teammate Chris Doyle, and filmer/ editor/ producer of “Wide Awake Nightmare” Kris Bennett provide some insightful commentary on what it was like watching the Mikey show from a front-row seat on a regular basis. AC/DC’s “It’s a Long Way to the Top” was pretty fitting for his part- The Mike Aitken takeover of BMX had been realized. -RD

The Kunstform crew over in Germany threw a session back on December 2nd at the Prafriedhof park for the riders. Plenty of great riding, giveaways and good times! Take a look at what went down in this highlight video.
“On the 2nd of December 2017, our stock session took place again and it was absolutely amazing to meet all the homies again. We had also run a BMX Flatland contest in our Stock room while the others went for a skatepark session to the Pragfriedhof, where you had the chance to win some vouchers for tricks. After the pre-session, the main contest started, in which different groups had the chance to show their skills on the different obstacles we had built up. Even though the ceiling was kissed many times, it was a great end to 2017. You’ll find all photos and results on freedombmx. Thanks to everyone for coming down and for the amazing time! Hopefully see you next year, your kunstform BMX shop team!

Want to learn how to Fufanu, but you don’t run brakes? Here’s a how to video for you…
The guys over at Nowear sent over this short but sweet video featuring Lee Greaves showing you how to do a brakeless fufanu on a quarterpipe! Apparently it’s pretty easy since this is only about 45 seconds long. It’s more of a tip video than an actual how to, but still… Give it a look and then send a few. BMX can always use for fufanus.

Nathan Williams gives us one final bike check with his United Mothership setup…
It was announced earlier this week that Nathan Williams is no longer riding for United, but the guys at Ride BMX had a video bike check they filmed a few weeks back with Nathan that they figured they drop before Nathan switches things up with a new setup. Who he will be riding or, we’re not sure… But this is still a real dialed ride. We can imagine we’ll be seeing another bike check from Nathan in the near future.
“Well, many people didn’t see the whole Nathan Williams leaving United thing coming… Including us, because we shot this here bike check with him a few weeks back. For the sake of not having it ever, ever be seen, we figured it was worth dropping now, even if it is not all that relevant anymore. You can at least get a few insights into how Nathan rides the thing, eh?
