Lux BMX – Boyd Hilder “Aeterna” Section

February 23, 2020

As you should know by now, any time you see Boyd Hilder‘s name pop up, you’re going to see some amazing riding. Lux BMX uploaded Boyd’s section from the “Aeterna” DVD online for your viewing pleasure! This section is loaded with damn good Boyd clips from park, street and trails sessions! As always, Boyd brings a good mix of tricks, along with a ton of style to everything he touches! Check it out!

“Boyd Hilder has been a part of the LUXBMX team now for the last 2 years and we are so proud to see what he has and continues to achieve. Over the past few years, Boyd has turned heads both in Australia and on the global stage at competitions including the Vans Bowl Comp, Alternate for X games and various jams throughout the years. After showing the world he’s here to stay, Boyd has found a home at Federal Bikes and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.” – Lux BMX

Chimera A-Side BMX Park Finals Highlights

January 29, 2020

It’s pretty wild how the Chimera A-Side contest had $90,000 up for first place for park AND flatland, and there really hasn’t been a ton of footage from the contest popping up, yet. Here’s a highlight video from finals that shows all the bangers that went down in park finals. Brandon Loupos ended up taking the win and all that cash, so we would imagine he’ll be sitting nice all year.

“Hammers from the final day of Chimera A-Side in Nagoya, Japan featuring Brandon Loupos, Daniel Sandoval, Logan Martin, Boyd Hilder, Pat Casey, Rim Nakamura, Marin Rantes, and Ben Wallace!” – Vital BMX

The CMPN Holy Rail Jam

January 28, 2020

A few weeks back we saw the CMPN throw a small trails jam in their back yard ( CMPN IN CLVLND ), now it looks like the dirt jumps have been leveled and they’ve built a huge rail setup OFF THE ROOF. The setup is gnarly and we’re sure the neighbors are pissed, but it did lead to some dialed riding and good times. Check out what they cooked up for clips during the sessions bombing off the roof and plowing into the fence full speed. Another BMX house that’s cooking up some crazy stories.

“Out of any BMX house worldwide, the CMPN house in Brisbane, Australia has to be one of the loosest. After throwing a backyard dirt jam recently, the next step was obvious… build a massive rail off of the damn roof! Watch all the mayhem courtesy of our buds Tim Storey and Marius Dietsche, and then get building your own fun. FUCK YEAH!

Chimera A-Side – First Impressions

January 24, 2020

We’ve seen some pretty wild BMX contests over the years, but what we haven’t seen is prize money that would definitely make an impact. The Chimera A-Side contest going down in Japan this weekend has a first place prize of $90,000. Prize money amounts can be kind of secretive for big events like X Games, but we’re pretty sure this is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, payouts for a 1st place in a BMX contest, which is awesome to see. Here’s a raw cut of some first impressions and a bit of riding footage that Vital BMX put together. It’s interesting to see the reaction these guys get when they contemplate what they would do if they won. We’ll see if the money is going to push people to go bigger than ever before to win. Either way, there’s going to be a park rider and a flatland rider with a real nice chunk of change in their bank account to start off 2020.

“We’re in Nagoya, Japan and the riders are about ready to compete for the $90,000 first place prize at the Chimera A-Side! Watch them get familiar with the course and hear how they’d spend the giant cash prize. Riders include Boyd Hilder, Logan Martin, Brandon Loupos, Daniel Sandoval, Justin Dowell, Ben Wallace, Rim Nakamura, and more!” – Vital BMX
