BRZRHD – M-Line Sprocket

June 22, 2019

BRZRHD M-Line BMX Sprocket

Here’s one we meant to post up the other week but completely dropped the ball on. Here’s a look at this wild new M-Line Sprocket that the crew at BRZRHD over in Russia recently released. This full guard sprocket has a TON of machining to not only save weight but looks amazing as well. This BMX Sprocket is CNC machined from 7075-T6 with a ton of detail and cut outs that give you a full guard protection, without much material elsewhere. One thing to note is that these sprockets aren’t designed for heavy abuse, and more for the looks than anything else. Brotherhood (BRZRHD) recommends using a different full guard sprocket if you’re trying to grind. Since it is made from 7075-T6, it’ll probably hold up fairly solid, it just doesn’t have that extra material that really makes for a good full guard sprocket to grind on. It appears to have a 24mm bore, so it should work with all 24mm, 22mm and 19mm sprockets as long as you have the adaptors.

The M-Line Sprocket is available in Bolt drive and Socket Drive styles, 25 and 28-tooth sizes, and black and Aluminum colors (Aluminum is currently sold out at the time of posting this) and can be found in the BRZRHD webstore for $75 (25T) – $77 (28t).

BRZRHD M-Line BMX Sprocket

We are really digging the way this sprocket looks, but we’re sure it would be fairly easy to break if you put it through the same abuse as other guard sprockets, so this is definitely only recommended for the riders who are looking more for looks and some protection against the occasional slip up on grinds versus somebody doing pedal, sprocket and crooked grinds. Either way, this some serious BMX porn.

You can find another sprocket mounted below, along with two videos giving you a detailed look below. Unfortunately the Aluminum color is sold out, but we would imagine they will be getting more in, in the near future.

Brotherhood – 804 Guard Sprocket

October 3, 2017

Let’s take a look at the 804 Guard Sprocket from the Brotherhood crew over in Russia…

Brotherhood 804 Full Guard BMX Sprocket

We were just looking at the old Oyster 2-piece sprocket that Brotherhood put out a few years ago and it got us thinking that it has been a little while since we’ve taken a look at what they have going on these days. We popped over to their website and were pleasantly surprised to see their new 804 Guard Sprocket that continues their reputation of unique and well designed BMX products. The 804 Guard Sprocket is 3D CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a 5 spoke design that looks great. The sprocket has a 15/16″ (24mm bore), so it’s compatible with 24mm, 22mm and 19mm spindle sizes (adaptors included). The only downside is that there is only one bolt hole so you really can only wear down one side of the sprocket unless you’re switching from right to left side drive completely.

Brotherhood 804 Full Guard BMX Sprocket

The 804 Guard Sprocket comes in 25-tooth only with Silver Satin or Deep Black color options and comes with a reasonable $57.00 price tag. Available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Brotherhood worldwide now.

Also available in a “Silver Satin” color.

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen anything out of the Brotherhood crew over in Russia, but it looks like they’ve been busy working on two new products. Above you can get a look at their 804 bars and below you can get a look at their new 804 full guard sprocket. Not too much for details as of yet, but it looks like the bars will come with a 9.5″ rise and the sprocket will come in a cold hard anodize color that looks interesting. We’ll keep you posted when we have more info!

The Art of the BMX Sprocket

March 4, 2016

federal-bikes-bbs-sprocket

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these “The Art Of” pieces, so we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at one part in particular that we’ve been thinking about lately, the BMX Sprocket. The other day we were bouncing around to a few different brands websites to see if there were any new products or anything else new to see, and we ended up staring at the sprockets. When you think about it, the sprocket is one of those things that can really be altered the most as far as aesthetics go. We’ve seen A LOT of sprockets in BMX’s history, so we decided to stick to sprockets that are currently available. Even with cutting it back to that, there’s still a ton of options available. Add in the different combos between the standard bolt drive, Spline drive, and socket drive, colors, versions with guards, etc. There’s a lot to take in. We bounced around and picked out some of our favorites from a number of brands, which you can check out below with a few words about each! Ready?

brotherhood-bmx-sprocket-1

If you haven’t caught on by now, we’re huge product nerds here at The Union and we’re always keeping our eye out for new and interesting products that are worth getting a look at. About a year ago, we caught wind of a company out of Russia called Brotherhood (or BRZRHD) that are producing a few products that are not only unique, but high quality. With that being said, their product line is a pretty small, but quality and one we have been really impressed with. We were very curious to know just what this brand was all about, so we got ahold of one of the brothers from Brotherhood to find out just what they are about and what they have planned. Let’s take a look!

Insight: Brotherhood – Oyster RHD Guard Sprocket

September 2, 2015

A few months back we were tipped off about a brand from Russia called “Brotherhood” that was producing a few different BMX sprockets and small parts. The reason we were so interested is because of a two-piece sprocket they had developed called the Oyster which is similar to an actual oyster was hollow and has two parts that come together to make a solid piece. The other day we received a package in the mail and would you know, there was an Oyster ready for us to get a closer look at. Curious what this thing is all about and how it works? Let’s talk about it…

Product: Brotherhood – Oyster Guard Sprocket

February 28, 2015

brotherhood-oyster-bmx-sprocket-1

The other day we were tipped off on a brand out of Russia called “Brotherhood” that are producing some sprockets that are definitely worth taking a closer look at! The one that really caught our eye is their Oyster guard sprocket. It might look like a slightly strange guard sprocket, but what you probably didn’t know is it uses a two-piece design and is HOLLOW on the inside! We don’t have much info on the sprocket just yet, but we are working on an interview to find out more about the brand and their products that we’ll hopefully see soon! Until then, check out more photos of this sprocket after the jump along with a video that shows how their two-piece design snaps together. You can also find more on the brand on their Instagram @brzrhd.
