Ghetto Spots – Melbourne DIY Warehouse

It’s pretty awesome seeing what BMX riders can come up with when they get the chance to do something like a DIY spot in an abandoned building. We’ve seen the Melbourne DIY spot pop up in a handful of videos over the course of the past year and it seems like they keep accumulating more and more things to ride. Here’s a look at a session that went down with some of the Colony and Division Brand squads courtesy of DIG.

““One day during my stay in Melbourne we were rained out when we had planned on going out to ride street and film. So Cooper Brownlee, Wolfgang Ray, Ricky Catanzariti, Chris Whyte, Marius Dietche and myself went over to this DIY spot Cooper and some locals had put some work on a while back. Focalpoint BMX – The Package: Part 3

Focalpoint just dropped their latest round of The Package for your viewing pleasure. As expected, there’s a ton of heat in this one from the streets of Melbourne where these guys went to work on ever rail, ledge and spot they came across. Dialed riding, clean film work… Don’t pass this one up!

Division Brand – CBD Sessions – Brisbane

“We wanted to work on a project that focused on one city at a time and Brisbane, Australia, was a good place to start. It has the most crew available with Anton Ayres, Mitchell McDonald and Carraig Troy all locals. Since Brisbane isn’t the easiest place to get a solid ride in because of tight security, 7am sessions and late night missions over a number of months helped us get the job done.

Focalpoint – “Have Fun With It” DVD – Full Video

Now this is one we’re real pumped to see in the inbox! Cooper Brownlee just hit us with a link to the entire Focalpoint video “Have Fun With It” from way back in 2011! This is over 24 minutes of pure BMX video goodness for you to enjoy! Hit play!

“The Have Fun With It DVD dropped back in 2011 so we thought it was to get it up online.

The whole point of this video was to show the vibe and good times that we tend to have when out riding, hopefully that showed throughout.

Watching it for the first time in 4 years was a real treat seeing who still rides and who fell off the scene, along with it being the first major project we filmed in HD.

Focalpoint – Intro & Cooper Brownlee “WHAT” Sections

Although we’ve never seen the “WHAT” video from Focalpoint, we’re really stoked the sections from the video are coming online for people to enjoy. It’s crazy to think that this video is already 8 years old and just seeing how much has changed (or not changed) since. I’m a big fan of Cooper Brownlee so seeing this section was awesome because he’s hands down one of the hardest working dudes down in Australia and has been killing it all along the way! Check out the Intro above and Cooper’s section below. There’s plenty more to come too!

“So I’ve started uploading all the sections from previous FP dvd’s. The first dvd we produced under the Focalpoint name was titled “WHAT” which came from the excitement everyone would create after someone pulled a trick. This video came out in 2006 but I have very good memories from these years so uploading them for everyone else to see or reminise on should be entertaining. Even if it’s just to laugh at the changing of times then it was worth it. I will upload a couple sections every few days in order of appearance. First being the intro and my section which feels weird to do but fuck it, I want to laugh at myself too and remember some of the moves I use to do.
