X Games “Real BMX” 2018 Teams Announced

The X Games have announced the 2018 “Real” Series teams and release dates. As expected, the BMX lineup is absolutely STACKED.

Every year we get really excited when the Real BMX videos from X Games come around. The past two years have lead to some absolutely phenomenal videos, and it looks like 2018 is shaping up to be a wild one, too. Below is the official press release with the full list of “Real BMX” riders and their filmers, along with the release date… Now it’s going to be a long winter waiting for May 23rd to roll around….

“A forum for the world’s best riders and filmers to create premium action sports video content, the Real Series brings together the worlds of competitive action sports and core video parts for six competitions in 2018 – Ski, Snowboard, Street, BMX, Moto and Wakeboard. Now in its ninth year, the Real Series will feature past Real Series winners and Fan Favorites, X Games medalists and up-and-coming riders from around the world. This year, X Games silver medalist Samarria Brevard will also become the first female skater to drop a Real Street part.

The list of invited riders and filmers for Real Snow, Ski, Skate and BMX is below. Real Moto and Real Wake Driven by MasterCraft athletes will be announced at a later date.

Like past Real Series competitions, each sport’s video parts will premiere on XGames.com where fans can watch and vote for their favorite. The video parts will be judged by a panel of industry experts and the medalists will be revealed in a one-hour “World of X Games” show that will premiere on ABC 10 days after the videos drop.

Battle of Hastings 2017 Plaza Edits – Aaron Ross & Corey Martinez

The crew over at Source BMX have uploaded the 10th place Battle of Hastings Plaza edit which features Aaron Ross and Corey Martinez. Both of these guys had one hour to stack as many clips as they could and this is what they came up with! You already know these two brought the goods.

Leading up to the Battle of Hastings this year, Source BMX had Brian Kachinsky redesign their Plaza section for all the pro riders to enjoy! Here’s two videos for you to check out. The first one shows you all the pros like Garrett Reynolds, Alex Donnachie, Chad Kerley, Corey Martinez, Nathan Williams, Dan Lacey, Aaron Ross and more going to work on the new setup. The second video features Brian Kachinsky talking about what went into the design and how he made it all happen being across the pond in the U.S while the plaza is in Hastings, England!

In The Cut – District of Cinema

Last week we got a look at the amazing District of Cinema video that the Cinema BMX team came through with after a few days in Washington D.C. Today, we get a look at a raw cut of footage that didn’t make the cut for the video, along with crashes, laughs and random clips they collected along the way. “It’s hard to find a more progressive street team in BMX and it’s safe to say that the Cinema team is above and beyond the call of duty in every department. So when Nathan Williams, Dakota Roche, Chad Kerley, Garrett Reynolds and Corey Martinez got back in the van and hit the streets of DC, it’s safe to say pretty much everyone was watching and the video that dropped was indeed full of magic. There’s nothing else about that we can add that you don’t already know, but now here’s our behind the scenes look at the big reunion for our latest episode of ‘DIG BMX – IN THE CUT’.
