In The Cut – Maiden America Tour 2019

October 31, 2019

The annual Maiden America Tour went down a little while back, and the FBM, Profile Racing, QBP and ODI Grips guys loaded up for a trip to Colorado to visit shops, check out parks and trails and more. Here’s a raw cut showing what the guys got into on and off their bikes all along the way! There were a few bumps and bruises along the way, but overall looks like it was a good time to us!

“What started out as the 6th Annual Maiden America tour with QBP, Profile racing, FBM and now ODI, took a radical turn when the van banter started to get strange. Initially a trip celebrating brands that build BMX products in the United States, and supporting local bike shops by visiting, sharing some riding time and pizzas, Maiden America, as a result of the real-time mind-bending interactive diatribe lingo derivative inside joke phenom between Gary Ginch and Eric Holladay, was now dubbed the “Horniest trip in BMX’

Held captive by their insane tail feather wordplay development were Jay Schlie, Matt Coplon, Vic Bettencourt, myself, The Leeper Bros. Seamus McKeon, Declan Murray and our driver – Stew Johnson who was being threatened with assault and mummification.
Amidst visiting Local Colorado shops like Lawson Cycles, the ever-present PUSHER BMX, the crew rolled along the highest of High Altitudes Colorado Had to offer, The Sunshine State, and the Windy City- with their catchy state slogan- Don’t mess with Denver, was no match for the MAIDEN CREW! – Steve Crandall

In The Cut – Source BMX “Straight To DVD” Road Trip

October 28, 2019

The other day Source BMX announced their new “Straight To DVD” video that will be shipping free with all orders. Here’s a raw cut from the trip the team took from Florida to Kentucky, hitting up parks and spots along the way and giving you a look at what they got into off their bikes as well. If you have just shy of 20 minutes to spare, this is worth a peek.

“Earlier this year The Source BMX guys assembled a crew to head out on the road straight from Swampfest to the SOURCE warehouse in Louisville, Kentucky: the site of their band new US venture which back then was in the early stages of coming together. With Nathan Williams, Dan Lacey, Bruno Hoffmann and Corey Martinez already onboard along with Source TM Tom Creasy, and filmer James Cox, we sent DIG’s Kevin Conners along for the ride to help capture everything and anything that went down. Featuring van life, angry cops, spots aplenty, frozen fruit meltdowns, UK S&M legend the Fids, and some welcome magic from UK Source employee Josh Heritage, the trip was definitely one to remember.

STRAIGHT TO DVD not only features the official edit of the trip from but the DVD is also jam-packed full of their favourite edits from the past year (plus a few classics) including the Lock in Series at Source Park and highlight reels from the Battle of Hastings. STRAIGHT TO DVD is FREE with all orders from SOURCEBMX.COM whilst stocks last or follow @sourceBMX to find out how to watch the road trip segment now!

Pascal Lafontaine 2019 Video

October 21, 2019

A few years back, Pascal Lafontaine was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma Cancer that ultimately ended up taking his right leg to stop the spread of the cancer. When Pascal was going through all of that, his goal was to get back on his bike and get back to absolutely shredding like he did in the past. After a few years of getting things figured out, it’s safe to say he accomplished his goal and is absolutely killing it again. Here’s a new edit filled with amazing riding for somebody that has two legs, so we are even more blown away by what Pascal is doing with a prosthetic. Do NOT miss this BMX video.

“Back in 2015, after filming a couple of head-turning video parts, Canada’s Pascal Lafontaine was diagnosed with bone cancer and had to undergo the horrifying process of losing his leg. Understandably he thought that those videos had become the last he’d ever film.
After three years of rehab he learnt to walk and even ride about on his bike, all while going through chemotherapy and dealing with 15 separate foot breaks. He is still in chemotherapy and trying different treatments but he managed to relearn how to ride with his prosthetic leg and slowly but surely got back his skills on a bike and filmed whenever he could. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and Pascal emailed us asking about a DIG exclusive – needless to say we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw the footage he had been collecting. If there’s one video to watch this year, it’s this one. Nothing is impossible. Sit back and enjoy some of the most incredible and inspiring bike riding from one of the toughest people out there. Look out for the full story in the next print issue of DIG, coming soon.

“I really want to thanks all of my friends that helped me ride again and film this video part.”

Filmed by William Gladu, Alex Magnan and Cedrik Morin.” – DIG BMX
