Colony – Marcel Gans Lost ‘N Found

Freedom BMX released this fresh edit featuring Colony‘s German connect Marcel Gans throwing down on a bunch of parks. This footage spans the past few years and is a real solid watch from start to finish. Marcel brings a good mix of tricks, speed and style to the table. Take a look!

“Marcel Gans’ motto in life is clearly visible on his helmet: Have fun, ride bikes! In addition, there should actually be another sticker with only one word on it: BALLERS! The German Colony driver is a fan of high speeds, which in turn entails a lot of airtime, as you can see in his new video. Alone the sentence about the hip in the bowl of the Cologne North Brigade at 1:58. Boy, boy, boy!

It doesn’t matter that most of the photos were taken three to four years ago, because good BMX riding is and will remain timeless. It is a pity, however, that some clips have been lost over time for various reasons. Well, VX Life is not always easy.

Fortunately, some of the material was saved and / or found. At this point, thanks go to David Schaller and Felix Prangenberg. But the best thing to do is take a look at the whole thing for yourself. We are definitely excited and are already looking forward to the next two video projects from Marcel, which should drop this year. YEWW!

Alliance BMX – Good Vibes, Bad Times

The past year has been rough, keeping a lot of us home to keep distance from everyone. The Alliance BMX guys kept themselves entertained with a few small ramps they built to keep things going. Chec out what they built and what they threw down!

“It has now been almost a year since we had a video of Christian Ziegler on our website in which his farm was presented. Today there is a round of supplies, because the barn of the said property has been very busy in the past few months. But the best thing to do is to let Christian’s partner aka Stefan “Magga” Marker have his say, who not only stands behind the counter at Alliance BMX, but also kindly passed us the great video above:” – Freedom BMX

“Christian made his barn available this winter to use it
we had a place to drive in the dark and cold season.
We usually met once a week to roll and / or build ramps together. Since there was only little space, the setup was changed every session to prevent boredom. There were really a lot of interesting obstacles that we tried out. Despite all the restrictions that existed due to well-known circumstances, it was one of the most intense BMX winters we’ve both had in a long time. We haven’t been together in so many sessions in a while

Jaoa Phuymooltree – Street Food

Here’s one from a rider we’re not too familiar with, but really digging. Jaoa Phuymooltree is now doing it for SI BMX in Germany. Here’s his welcome video from the streets that’s filled with a good mix of tricks and style! This one is a real good watch, so take a peek and get familiar!

“Jaoa Phuymooltree is originally from Thailand, lived in a previous life as Garrett Reynolds of the fixie scene in San Francisco (true story!) And has been at home in Düsseldorf for some time now, where he not only pampers the brain-palm crew with his cooking skills , but also regularly makes the streets of the North Rhine-Westphalian capital unsafe with the boys. He does that at least as skillfully as he swings the wooden spoon and that’s why Jaoa is now new to SIBMX-Flow. Congratulations!

Here is his welcome edit, which was given the appropriate title “Street Food” and was filmed by Adrian Warnken and the like in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. YEWW!

Josue “Kokin” Castillo – Locked In Mexico City

Here’s a rad one from a rider we aren’t too familiar with! Freedom BMX dropped this BMX video featuring Josue Castillo cruising street spots and trails down in Mexico City! This has solid riding from start to finish with a good mix of tricks. Take a look!

“Check out this submission by the homie Josue “Kokin” Castillo from Mexico City. Josue considers himself a transition rider, but for this project he stepped outside of his comfort zone and took it to the streets. While filming for this video, Josue did not only have to battle injuries, lockdown restrictions and mental scares, but he was also robbed of his laptop and hard drive one night, meaning he had to film some of the clips again, that he had already stacked. Fortunately he ended up getting better stuff, so it all worked out for the best. Job well done, Josue! And also big-up to his girlfriend Natalia Solis for filming the whole thing!

Markus Reuss – 30 Minutes In The Woods

Here’s a little trails action now that things are starting to warm back up on the northern hemisphere. Watch a short but a sweet video featuring Markus Reuss getting some laps in the woods over in Germany! Solid riding and these trails look a good time! Check it!

Jannik Schmid – Sun’s Out

Any sign of spring has been a good sign with how cold it’s been lately for those of us up in the northern hemisphere. Freedom BMX dropped this new one featuring Jannik Schmid soaking up the sun and cruising spots over in Germany. Jannik brings a jibby style with grinds, crankflips and much, much more. Hit play and take a look! Hopefully more of us can get in on these sunny sessions like Jannik soon!

Because the weather was so incredibly beautiful last weekend, Christian Gattinger simply chugged off to Ulm to see his homie Jannik Schmid. The two actually wanted to roll together in the skate park all day, but somehow the idea came up to leave the (probably already overcrowded) skate park and instead film a street video with Jannik in the lead role. After all, Christian’s knee still felt like mud even after two Ibos – and Jannik’s last edit is now a bit behind.

The result is SUN’S OUT, which sums up a damn good and productive day on the streets of Ulm in four and a half minutes. Christian says about his latest VX project: “I just wanted to make a nice, relaxed video that brings across the spring vibe.” Clear case of mission accomplished!

Tim Guntner – Rock With Me

Check out this fresh one from Volume and Odyssey‘s German connect Tim Guntner who went to work putting his pegs to heavy use on spots around Germany and Barcelona! No shortage of solid clips in this, so get on that play button and check it out!

“YEWW! German Volume Bikes and Odyssey rider Tim Güntner getting his tech on in the streets of Hamburg (Germany) and Barcelona (Spain).

A noble technician in the wild: Tim Güntner has teamed up with the filmmaker Anton Arens and the result is just under four minutes of straight fire with extra sauce from Hamburg and Barcelona. After all, Tim is on the road through @SIBMX for @Volume Bikes and @Odyssey BMX via @SIBMX – and the fact that Anton makes great videos should not have been general knowledge since the Bangers Freestyle Film Festival 2020.

The only downer: Unfortunately, this will probably be the last cooperation between Tim and Anton for the time being, because the man behind the camera recently moved to Cologne. Here are a few lines he passed on to us about his latest work:

“I can no longer say when exactly we started filming. On the one hand, because it has to be at least 3 years. On the other hand, we never really filmed intentionally, but simply kept on it with my VX when it worked In addition to the clips from Hamburg, there was also a trip to Barcelona in 2019. After I broke each of the three VX models and destroyed 2 tapes, I switched to HD and thus more reliability. old “clips are in no way inferior to the new ones and consequently this video is a mix of 4: 3 and 16: 9. It is also a kind of end to my time in Hamburg. Enjoy!”
