Red Bull – Raditudes: Wouldn’t Believe It

Josh Perry Off Bern Helmets

Here’s some interesting news to start your Wednesday off. It looks like Josh Perry and Bern Helmets are no longer working together. Based off what he said in his announcement, it sounds like Bern pretty much burned him and are no longer doing a BMX program as a whole, which is a bummer to hear. Get the full scoop from Josh below. Sounds like it was pretty shady…

“After about 6 years, I’m no longer riding for Bern Helmets. It definitely was not mutual. It was more like “hey, it’ll be sweet for a few years, then we’ll say we “forgot” to pay you one year, you’re so loyal you’ll stick around, we’ll lead you on, and then we’ll conveniently drop the Bmx program after promising to pay you and do all this cool stuff within the Bmx community”.
I’m pretty bummed as I feel I rode my heart out for them, believed in the brand, and thought they believed in me. Sucks being treating like shit when you’ve literally put your life on the line and promoted a brand you felt made sense to you and your passion.
Is it that hard to compensate someone for their hard work, especially after a 5-6 year relationship and not shade out on them?
I do not have anything new lined up and I’ll still be wearing my Bern helmet as it is safe and I believe in their products still. Just a bummer.”

Eastern – Josh Perry and the Cedar Point Ramps

It’s always good to see some fresh Josh Perry footage! Eastern Bikes dropped this new video featuring Josh throwing down a bunch of tricks on the ramps he spends his summers riding for work! This has a good mix of bigger air tricks and more technical riding. Hit play and take all the goodness this BMX video has to offer in.

“Josh Perry rode in live performances for All Wheel Sports in a show called “All Wheels Extreme” at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio during the summers of 2014 and 2015. Nick Digeroloma filmed all the clips and Josh edited it all together. Massive thanks to Graveyard for the permission to use this song!

Impact Skatepark Blizzard Mix

We’re just assuming that this one was filmed a little while back since the East Coast hasn’t been pounded with a snow storm for a few weeks now, but either way… Here is a rad BMX video from some time that Josh Perry, Brandon Christie, Joe Nelson, Rob Clancy, Josh Kirtland and Andrew Fowler got in at the Impact Skatepark during a blizzard. This has a good mix of styles and tricks making for a real good watch!

Josh Perry hit us up with a link to a new Bike Check he posted up on his website, Daily Brain Storms, giving us a closer look at his current Eastern Bikes Transcend setup that he’s running. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Eastern pop up since we thought they closed their doors, but apparently they’re back up and running. Either way, it looks like a dialed BMX bike to us!

There’s no denying that there is no shortage of photographer these days, but it’s always pretty easy to spot the guys who have been putting in the time and work to make their photos look amazing. Todd Nichols name is one that might ring a bell, between his work we have featured on the site in the past or by bumping into him while he has been out on the road. Todd has been riding BMX and shooting photos longer than a good number of you reading this and with all those years comes a lot of experience, miles and snaps of the shutter that have lead to some great photos. Sunday Funday at Impact Skatepark

Josh Kirtland, Zane Bradley, Josh Perry, Mike Pomerleau, Duane Vlaco, Ian Bradley and Brandon Christie all spent their Sunday cruising the Impact Skatepark in Rhode Island!
