Morgan Wade “Drop The Hammer” Section

Morgan Wade’s section from the “Drop The Hammer” video is now online!

Over the weekend Morgan Wade dropped some serious hammers at the Battle of Hastings 2019 Best Trick Contest and ended up taking the win after putting in some heavy work on two very wild transfer lines. This morning we were scrolling through Twitter when we came across a Tweet that let the younger generation know that Morgan has been doing insane things on two wheels for a long time. That tweet included a link to Morgan’s section from the “Drop The Hammer” video that came out back in 2004, 15 years ago already!

We decided it would be a good idea to get Morgan’s “Drop The Hammer” section posted up since it never made an appearance on BMX Union. So, let’s kick the week off with a throwback that’ll undoubtably get you stoked. This part even has a bunch of crazy transfer lines, similar to just how he pulled off the Best Trick win this past weekend.

It’s so awesome seeing Morgan still holding it down, even after all these years. Just in the past few weeks alone he has been pushing some serious limits between the X Games Big Air contest and the Battle of Hastings! Hopefully we keep getting amazing Morgan footage for years to come!

Last night was the BMX Big Air Finals at X Games 2018 in Minneapolis. As always, the deck was filled with some of the gnarliest riders that aren’t scared to go insanely big with some high risk, high reward action. Mongoose Jam 2018 – Team Ben Wallace

For this years Mongoose Jam video contest, Ben Wallace strapped on the Mongoggles and teamed up with Morgan Wade, Matt Ray and Alex McCheyne for their video that has a creative video game style look to it, with no shortage of amazing riding. Check this out. It turned out awesome!

Morgan Wade and The Texas Lasso

Morgan Wade invented a new trick during a Nitro Circus show called the Texas Lasso.

So a little over a month ago I posted about winning the best trick contest in the last @nitrocircus show I rode in. This is the footage of the trick I did. To my knowledge (and I've asked around), this is a new one that I'm pretty sure no one has ever done! People were calling it "The Texas Lasso", but it's a one handed double tailwhip. It feels really good to pull something new, and as you can tell by my reaction, something new that no one has ever done! Haha Shout out to @rickymelnik for sending over the clip, and the Nitro crew for filming it! As you should know by now, Morgan Wade kicks a lot of ass! Although we don’t see a lot of footage of him these days, he’s still crushing it out on the bike and apparently inventing new tricks. During a recent Nitro Circus show, Morgan pulled off a One Handed Double Tailwhip. Not only is a double tailwhip hard, we’re not even sure how he did it one handed. Either way, we’re pretty sure this is a brand new trick and it looks like Morgan asked around and hasn’t heard of anyone else doing it, so he has named it The Texas Lasso. Not only is it a funny name, but it honestly does look a bit like he’s spinning a lasso around. Stoked on this one.

Morgan Wade On Gas Monkey Energy

June 3, 2016

It looks like Morgan Wade will have a little more energy when he’s dropping in on the Mega Ramp this weekend at the X-Games. Morgan has been added to the Gas Monkey Energy team. Gas Monkey Energy? Yeah, the same Gas Monkey as Gas Monkey garage, restaurant, etc. that Richard Rawlings started down in Dallas. Pretty rad to see how much support Morgan gets from Texas based companies. All we know is that it’s some well deserved support since Morgan kicks a ton of ass.
