2018 Radio Bikes Comrad

Starting off with our favorite bike in the line of 2018 bikes, the Comrad is Radio Bikes high end complete that is built for the more experienced rider that wants a bike they will be able to send it on and not have to worry if it can hold up to the abuse. This bike starts out with a full chromoly frame, bars and fork and is loaded with Radio Bikes, Salt Plus and Eclat aftermarket parts. The Comrad is available in a clear coat raw color with the multi-colored stem and sprocket for a nice aesthetic touch. 2018 Radio Bikes Valac

The 2018 Valac is another bike we’re really digging. This bike is designed to be a more affordable option to the Comrad with plenty of great features like the full chromoly fork, integrated head tube, the Radio Century Tripod seat, sealed hubs with a Radio Bikes Pro 9-tooth cassette hub in the back and a Salt Summit double wall rim in the back. The 2018 Valac comes with a 20.75″ top tube length and color options of Matte Black and Matte gold. Both bikes come with unique accent pieces to really make it stand out.

2018 Radio Bikes Saiko 20″

Next up we have the 2018 Saiko 20″ and 18″ completes! These Mid range completes are designed for the younger riders out there that are starting to push their limits on an entry level bike, but need something that can hold up to a higher level of riding. Both bikes feature frames, fork and bars made from a mix of chromoly and 1020 hi-ten steel, with a mix of Radio, Salt and Salt Plus parts. You can find great features like the Radio Rookie tubular chromoly 3-piece cranks, Salt AM nylon and fiberglass pedals, the Radio Century Mid combo seat and post, and the Salt Tracer 2.35″ tires up front and in the back! The Saiko 20″ comes with a 19.75″ top tube length and colors of Matte Black and Steel Grey. Just like the DICE FS we just looked at, the 2018 DICE is an almost identical bike, except this version uses only a rear brake and a straight cable instead of the gyro setup and front brakes. Not only that, but the Dice is available in 3 sizes for every rider looking to get into BMX; 20″, 18″ and 16″. Alright! Let’s wrap this up with the big one! The 2018 Ceptor 26″ cruiser! If you’re looking for a BMX bike, but you’re looking for something that’s going to be more for cruising along with the ability to jump it when you get the itch and more knee friendly… This is the bike for you! The Ceptor 26″ has a larger 22.7″ top tube length, 26″ wheels with double wall rims and Bombtrack Helix V2 2.30″ tires front and rear for some smooth rolling, sealed bearings, a 26-10 gear ratio for a good mix of speed and ease when pedaling, the Radio Century Fat Tripod seat for plenty of comfort and a strong Saltplus half-link chain. The Ceptor 26″ is the ideal bike for cruising while still knowing it’s going to hold up when you’re itching to get a little loose. This bike is available in an amazing translucent copper color only.

Vans is back with the latest Palmistry Guide video! This time the crew made their way to Thailand to explore the place!

It has been a while since the last Vans BMX Palmistry Guide, but the wait is over and it was well worth it! Here’s a super rad video from a trip that Alex Valentino and a crew of heavy hitters took to Thailand to explore the street spots, ride the skateparks, meet the locals and just experience the place. Red Bull – Sergio Layos & Arif Gül Ride A Turkish Tea Plantation

Apparently there are some amazing trails hiding on a tea farm in Turkey! Watch Sergio Layos and Arif Gül get down on the spot for Red Bull!

There’s no denying that Red Bull always comes through with some amazing locations for their videos. Here’s a new one that just dropped featuring Sergio Layos and Arif Gül getting down on a trails spot that popped up in the middle of a Turkish tea farm. Unfortunately this looks like it was built specifically for this video, so don’t count on being able to ride this SUPER fun looking setup. Hit play and take in plenty of style from both of these guys. Amazing riding, location and film work in this BMX video!

Insight: Frelo Bikes Guard Sprocket

Take a closer look at the Guard Sprocket from the Frelo Bikes crew down in Florida!

It’s always rad finding out about a new brand getting the wheels turning. The other day we were tipped off about a new brand coming out of Florida that is just getting its start called Frelo Bikes. They are a group of riders that are focused on creating strong, American made products that can hold up to whatever you throw at it while out riding. They have just released their new Frelo Guard Sprocket that is designed with a unique look and built to last.

The Frelo Guard Sprocket is CNC Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with inward tapered front with 3 cut outs for weight savings and the ability to rotate the sprocket to extend the life of the sprocket, and Frelo hatchet and Font logos machined around the edge. On the back, you can find even more machining using a four-tiered design that helps reduce the overall weight without sacrificing strength. The Teeth have a wider clearance to ensure compatibility with half-link chains like the Shadow Interlock Supreme that can have issues fitting with some sprockets.

The Frelo Full Guard Sprocket is currently available in Black and 25-tooth, but they are working on adding a 28-tooth version very soon. You can pick up the sprocket for $65.00 direct from the Frelo Bikes website. The sprockets fit 24mm with 22mm and 19mm adaptors included.

Since the brand is newer, they are looking for shops and distributors that are interested as well, so if you are one of those, you should get ahold of them to get things rolling.

Here’s a look at the backside of the sprocket which features a four-tiered machining design to help reduce the overall weight without sacrificing quality. It also gives the sprocket a really badass look.
