Adam Banton Nowear Video Bike Check

August 27, 2019

Adam Banton is giving the Nowear Beast Mode setup a go! Here’s a new video bike check where Adam talks a little bit about the frame and gives you a run through of all the Odyssey parts, along with a few riding clips for good measure! Check out this unique setup!

“After leaving my previous long time frame Sponsor, it was refreshing to build up a bike like the NoWear “Beast Mode” frame. Super responsive and a few degrees left of normal. I surprised myself getting used to such a strange looking freestyle machine, or maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise!“

2019 Nowear Cornhuckit Jam Highlights

July 25, 2019

The 6th annual Cornhuckit Jam went down at the Nowear compound the other weekend, and it was another big success. As expected, there was a big turn out of riders from all over, no shortage of amazing riding and the weather looked to be on point, too! Here’s a look at all of the riding, good times and more that went down from the dirt jumps to the ramps and even a flatland session in the new building that will eventually house the new indoor skatepark that Nowear have been putting a ton of work in to make happen.

“Highlights from the 6th annual Cornhuckit jam in Unadilla NE.

This years jam was nothing short of amazing!
A weekend filled with BMX, local food and live music.

Huge thank you to everyone that made this event possible.

The focus of “Cornhuckit” this year was to raise funds for “The Nowear Compound Nonprofit Corporation” and it’s mission to build a free indoor BMX training park open to any and all.
We succeeded with flying colors! Over $5k raised from the day.

Our biggest addition to the 2019 jam and the Compound was “Dean’s Drop”
This is a feature that will remain at the compound indefinitely. A semi drop with an adjustable wedge system that allows both intermediate level riders to go big like the pros. Dedicated to a dear friend who recently passed “Dean Busch”. Dean was well known and admired in the race industry and also enjoyed all types of of riding. Dean was the rider that jumped anything and everything. He would always take the time to help any kid or rider learn how to jump or go big.
Dean will be forever loved and missed. We invite any rider to stop by and experience “Dean’s Drop” in honor of his memory.

Anyone Interested in stopping by on your travels and riding at the compound? Simply message Karl through Nowear’s website nowearbmx.com or any of our social media platforms.

Nowear – Dan Nielsen Signature Beast Mode Frame

June 19, 2019

Nowear BMX Dan Nielsen Signature Beast Mode BMX frame

Get a look at the Dan Nielsen signature Beast Mode frame from Nowear BMX!

Over the past couple years, Nowear have offered their Mike DiNello Signature Frame that definitely turned a lot of peoples heads when it was intitially released because in all reality, it looks nothing like 99% of BMX frames available these days. That frame had gone on to sell really well, and I’ve personally seen more than 100 out in the wild at contests and jams since its been released.

Today, Nowear hit us up to let us know they’re now releasing a second version that will be the Dan Nielsen signature Beast Mode frame that takes a lot of the features that the DiNello frame offers, but something that’ll fit Dan’s taller height and make it more ideal for hucking flips on ramps and crushing it out in the streets. Anyone that has caught a session with Dan knows that he absolutely SHREDS on a BMX bike and sends real gnarly stuff all the time. Dan definitely deserves this signature frame, that’s for sure.

Nowear BMX Dan Nielsen Signature Beast Mode BMX frame

The Beast Mode frame is made here in the United States by Dave Harrison over at Pedal Driven Cycles from full 4130 chromoly tubing with a 75.75-degree head tube angle, 72-degree seat tube angle, 9″ standover height, 11.6″ bottom bracket height, 13.25″ chainstay length (Slammed) and a 21″ top tube length giving you plenty of room to crank tables and turndowns or stretch a big can-can. The frame features that “Virtual Top Tube” design that really opens things up for those tricks as well. You can find an integrated head tube, Mid bottom bracket, your choice of removable brake mounts, welded brake mounts or a completely brakeless option.

You can pre-order one of the frames now for $469 – $489 in the Nowear webstore. The frame is available in Midnight Blue and Nuclear Translucent Green, but if you pay in full on the pre-order you can do any color you want! The frame weighs in at a lightweight 4.9 lbs. with the brake mounts.

Learn more about the new Beast Mode frame from Nowear below…

“Nowear believes in making the highest quality parts while supporting local and American jobs. These frames are manufactured in Georgia, then painted and stickered in Nebraska.

This frame is a great combination of being both responsive and roomy, allowing you to blast the big double full speed, and still crank the bike hard for that turndown or tabletop!

The virtual top tube design allows extra-foot clearance making countless tricks easier, and the impossible tricks, possible! You’d be surprised how much smoother and further you can take tables, turndowns, look-backs, any can combo etc when you have the extra room.
The slightly steeper head tube helps responsiveness and lessens the force on the front end helping strengthen the frame.

We offer our brake models with removable gyro tabs, welded single cable guides & welded chain stay 990 mounts so the braking force goes towards the tubing, rather than pulling it away. This also lets the cable travel a shorter & straighter distance making it pull more freely. It’s all about dialing-in your brakes to perfection.

We wanted every little detail to be special right down to the stickers! Dan’s nick name, “Danimal” has always had a super hero feel and he has earned that reputation for always going so darn big!

The model name shown one the head badge is one of Dan’s favorite sayings for when you go big, you’re going “Beast Mode!” This design was hand-drawn by fellow Pusher BMX Shop rider, Preston Solis.

The Paw print displayed in the middle is showing love for Dan’s best friend, his dog “Zor” (Rest in Peace)
The sticker kit was designed by friend and designer Tasha Lindemann “TJL Designs”

Nowear – 1st Annual “Ride Inside Clip Contest”

February 21, 2019

Anyone who lives in a place where it snows or gets freezing cold knows you an go a little stir crazy when you get stuck indoors. The Nowear crew decided to do a video contest where riders submitted their best clips from indoor sessions they got in, that wasn’t at a skatepark. Based on the submissions, it looks like a lot of riders found ways to get a session in their living room, bed room, kitchen, basement, hotel rooms, restaurants, stores, class rooms and more. We’re pretty sure we saw a full on mini ramp in a basement that looks amazing, too. After all was said and done, Matt Beringer ended up taking the win, and it’s easy to see why! Matt’s style of riding was made for this video contest, haha.

“Year 1 “Ride Inside Clip Contest” from Nowear BMX.
This edit includes everyone who sent in clips from all around the world.
Rules were you had to film a clip from inside (skateparks did not count). We were trying to show the spirit of a BMXer, despite whatever Mother Nature threw at us we would find a way to have fun and ride our bikes.
Clips were accepted the entire month of January 2019. Ten finalists were selected, then the public voted for 1 week to pick the top 3.
Here they are:
1. Matthew Beringer @meberinger
2. Flatland Dave @flatlanddave
3. Emilio Kidd @yungfather_

Congrats to all the winners, finalists and anyone who had fun.

Enjoy this edit and Stay Rad everyone!

Please join us next year as this will be an annual event held by Nowear every January.”

Nowear – Chuck Covey and the No Handed Hand Plant Front Flip

July 28, 2018

Chuck Covey pulled off another worlds first…

Here’s a video from the Nowear crew out in Nebraska. This time around we get a look at Chuck Covey sending a front flip, but he takes both hands off and does a double hand plat with it. No Handed Hand Plant Front Flip… Or maybe a Double Hand Plant Front Flip… Either way, it’s crazy. Take a look.

“Chucky Covey is a madman and loves trying to come up with new tricks.
Early on in 2018 Chucky pulled off the worlds first 1 handed hand plant front flip at the famous “The Kitchen” bike park in Indiana. There was discussion at that time if a no handed hand plant front flip were possible. Chuck was convinced it was and that he was going to pull it at “the Nowear Compound” in Nebraska while there for the 6th annual Cornhuckit Jam.
Chucky killed it at the jam and the following day set forth on his mission. After several hours of taking countless brutal falls that would surely cause most of us to throw in the towel, Chucky pulled off one of the coolest looking tricks in history.
Thanks to lots of determination and perhaps a good potion of being nuts the “Flapper Flip” is now a thing.
Congrats “Chucky Covey”
