Nowear BMX – Lifer Spline Drive Sprocket

Nowear have released their new Lifer Spline Drive Sprocket….

Is it time for a new BMX sprocket? Here’s a look at the brand new Lifer Spline Drive Sprocket from Nowear. This sprocket is made right here in the U.S.A out of CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminum with a 3D looking design that features a bunch of handlebars overlapping each other (look close, you can see it in the photos below). This sprocket uses a steel 19mm spline drive insert (not in the photo) that is included with every sprocket.

The Lifer Spline Drive Sprocket comes in 28-tooth only with blue, red and gold colors and weighs in at 3.4 oz. The Lifer Sprocket can be picked up through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Nowear or direct from the Nowear Webstore for $64.99 now.

This 7075-T6 sprocket has CNC machined handlebars for a unique look that turned out amazing.

Available in Blue, Red and Gold in a 28-tooth size now. The 19mm steel insert for spline drive is included with the sprocket.

Karl Hinkley 40th Birthday Bike Checks

Let’s take a look at Karl Hinkley’s current bikes…

When you think about BMX, there are a lot of riders that like to follow the trends and do the things that are popular or the current flavor of the week. There’s a lot of those style riders, but there’s also another group of people who like to do their own thing. These riders really stand out with their unique style, tricks and overall perspective of BMX. If you’re from the Midwest, you undoubtedly know who Karl Hinkley is. Karl is the ringleader behind Nowear that started out as a clothing brand and has evolved into a frame and parts brand, stunt show team and a non-profit skatepark out in Nebraska! Today is Karl’s 40th birthday, so we worked with Cody Dixon to give you a look at both of Karl’s current bikes that utilize the Nowear DiNello Frame that is far from traditional, trendy or anything like that! Nowear BMX – Firewall Poster Shoot

The Nowear crew are always getting into something out in Nebraska! Here’s a behind the scenes video from a photoshoot for their new poster that is pretty wild. They lit a wall on fire and had Karl Hinkley and Sam Bussell do fakie wallslaps at the same time to give it sort of a mirror effect. This didn’t go down first try, but it did lead to some laughs along the way. Take a look!

Sneak Peek: Nowear – 4-Piece Candy Bars

Here’s a little sneak peek look at some new bars that Nowear just got samples of! After their Candy Bars ended up being real popular, Nowear had a lot of requests for a 4-piece version. Ask and you shall receive! Here is a look at samples they just picked up this morning! The 4-piece Candy Bars are made right here in the U.S.A by Standard Bykes out of full 4130 chromoly tubing with a 9″ rise, 28″ width, 10-degrees of backsweep and 2-degrees of upsweep. They MIGHT also come in 9.5″ rise with a 29″ width if there is enough demand. Above and below are photos of the first prototype samples, so these aren’t perfect, but they’re real close to what the final version will look like. Colors and pricing are yet to be determined as well.
