If you have been keeping up with the site lately, there’s a good chance you caught one of the videos or photos we posted of the new bars that Nowear BMX had fabricated up for this years Cornhuckit Jam! These bars aren’t your typical BMX handlebar… In fact, they make the Perfect 10’s look pretty small. We were super curious just what the story was behind these handlebars turned sub rail were, so we got ahold of the man in charge, Karl Hinkley to find out just what it took to get these bars made and what the plan for this years Cornhuckit Jam that is going down August 8th in Nebraska! Let’s see what he had to say!
We got a look at the Worlds Largest BMX Handlebars the other week when the bars were finished up at the fabricator. Today, we get a look at some footage of Nic Bonner giving the bars a proper break in with a few crazy tricks he cooked up on it so far. If this is what we’re seeing on it during a solo session, imagine how crazy things will get on it during the Cornhuckit Jam on August 8th?

“Round 2 of the 2015 Nowear Bring Your Own Bike Contest series was amazing. Colorado showed up in full effect with Nic Bonner, Dan Nielsen, Preston Solis and more. Little Jacob Thiem tore the place apart, at only 14 this kids is doing a great job hanging in the pro class. Anthony Parilli from Mudslingers did some of the craziest transfers ever he never seizes to amaze me. The over 30 was off the hook as always and the class keeps growing and growing. The Compound is always open to any bmxers interested in riding anytime just hit us up. follow us on Instagram Nowearbmx or on Facebook Nowear Extreme Rider Apparel”
How badass is this? Nowear sent over a photo of the custom sub rail they built for the next round of the 2015 Bring Your Own Bike Contest Series. We’re not sure on the actual dimensions of this beast, but based off the photo of it loaded on the flat bed truck it has to be pretty huge. Can’t wait to see some footage of people riding this!
