“Substance At Home”

October 11, 2016

Here’s one we’ve been excited to see for a minute now. Hit play to check out the new Substance video, “Substance At Home” featuring Greg Layden, Guy Scroggie, Jack Campbell, Sam Colville, Joe Jarvis, Jonny Moffat, Si Gibb, Jonny Blaikie, Craig Sime and Shahbaz getting down on their home spots in Scotland. This video is a good mix of guys we’ve been watching for a few years now and a few new, up and comers all putting in the work. Great spots, dialed riding and some clean film work. You won’t want to pass this one up!

“It’s been a year now since the release of the ‘We Are Substance’ video and it’s crazy to see the progression of Glasgow, UK’s Substance store and it’s crew. This new project, ‘Substance At Home’ has been in the works for eight months now, and between clashing commitments with filmers, leg haematomas, eagle eyed parking wardens, and some good and bad security wallopers, it’s been a rough ride but i’m sure you’ll agree the final outcome is a winner. Some unbelievable clips from the likes of Greg Layden, Joe Jarvis, Craig Sime and more – these dudes just keep getting better and better! It always astonishes me as to how much influence a BMX shop can have on it’s local scene and Substance only reinforces that way of thinking. Don’t sleep on these young’uns – they’re the next generation.” – DIG

“All this wouldn’t have been possible without a huge help from Luc Lynch-Rice who helped to film the edit and went on to save the day and edit it with help from Lee from Ugly People.” – Si Gibb / Substance BMX

BSD – Are You Receiving Me? Glasgow Street Jam

July 13, 2016

Since BSD let the cat out of the bag about their “Transmission” DVD, it’s safe to say quite a few of us have been anticipating the video. Last weekend they had the world premiere over in the U.K and threw a big street jam in Glasgow leading up to it. Above is a video that BSD dropped giving you a look at the riding that went down throughout the day on a number of spots they cruised. You can check out riding from Alex Donnachie, Sean McGilly, Craig Sime, Cain Martin, Si Gibb, Marton Varga, Jonny Moffat, Felix Donat, Dan Paley and a few others! It looks like it might have been a little cool and cloudy, but plenty of heat came from the riding. Check it!

“Despite the Glasgow summer showers we got a big turnout and were able to hit up some rad spots , thanks to Unit 23 for letting us borrow an amazing flat rail and install it in a dry(ish) spot under the motorway in China Town, it really made the day…

Music:
MadColour ‘Chained’ & ‘Closer’.

Filmed by Jonny Ashworth and Dave Sowerby”
