“Velvet Taxi” – Jay Miron Remix

November 3, 2016

You cannot go wrong with a little Canadian Beast to start your day. Snakebite BMX went through the old “Velvet Taxi” video and took all of the Jay Miron footage and packed it into one dialed video filled with big floating 540’s, lofty backflips, girls in bikini’s and more. This footage might be over 20 years old, but it’s still absolute fire. Enjoy!

“420DownloadShare
I always sit down and watch Jinx clothing’s ‘Velvet Taxi’ For the Jay Miron footage. So i decided to make a lil’ remix to make it easier. From him killing German mini ramps, riding flatland,Going ham at Marseille, destroying cement vert ramps on the beach (if someone knows where this is please tell me), going crazy at sheep hills, and destroying some So Cal pools including the Nude Bowl. Jay’s riding in Velvet Taxi was so high level at that time from almost landing a triple truck driver and fully committing to a double flip all about a year before the resi mat showed up. True gladiator style. Im pretty sure this was all filmed from 93′ to 95′.
All hail the ‘Canadian Beast’! We miss seeing you charge!

Snakebite – Aaron Ross Podcast

October 30, 2016

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/290166803″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]

The latest Snakebite Podcast has arrived. This time around Shad Johnson sits down with Aaron Ross to talk about a TON of different topics for nearly two hours. This starts off with his days of getting started with BMX and his love for crazy colors and goes from there. If you have some free time, hit play, kick back and enjoy!

“Welcome to our latest DIG x Snakebite podcast and this time round it’s Arron Ross, someone who has undoubtedly made a mark in BMX and as we remarked in our recent DIG 99.5 print interview, is someone who by standard BMX Pro terms is somewhat of an unusual case.
“He exploded into BMX some fifteen years ago and took over through his self sustaining fission energy. With radiant bikes that mirrored his personality, and the extrovertness of one thousand trails riders combined, Aaron hit his stride in the rare period where Props, magazines, AND web videos and social media held competitive ground. He became street riding’s closest thing to a celebrity; an enigma in an otherwise closed off micro universe. To say that Aaron “likes to talk” is indeed an understatement.
” – DIG

“Well it turns out he can keep talking an talking and pretty much every bit of what he has to say it is well worth listening to. Enjoy and our apologies for the random sonic boom noise throughout the conversation. Your guess is as good as ours. Here’s what Shad Johnson had to say about their conversation in Austin, Texas earlier this year.
“We went about this podcast with Aaron a little differently than usual. We had so many people write in and ask questions that we decided to start with those and see where the conversation lead us after that. We go over his early years riding and his ongoing love for the BMX race track, how he got on FBM and what it was like to make the move to Sunday, his thoughts on filming video parts and why he those loves florescent bikes so much.” – Shad Johnson

“Blueprint” – Jeremy Davis Section

October 21, 2016

When you hear the older guys always grumbling “BMX used to be way gnarlier”, it’s because of guys like Jeremy Davis that set the bar really high when it came to being an absolute savage. Snakebite dropped Jeremy’s section from the “Blueprint” video online and it’s packed with big grinds and gaps, crazy caveman drops, super heavy slams and some AC/DC for the soundtrack. This kicks ass from start to finish, so hit play and enjoy!

“This part right here built Jeremy a mythic status that is still talked about to this day. Filmed from 97′ to 2000 Jeremy at the time seriously tried everything he saw and most of the time there would be no run ups.
Some fun facts about this part.
Jeremy rode 3 frames during the filming. A Menstrual Cycle, Volume Hellion and then he ended up riding for Metal Bikes by the time we were done filming.
These were the fist 2 backflips he had ever tried.
The rail he does that is on the backside of the B3 contest was just duct taped on.
Last but not least the big gap he tries towards the of his part he did on a lunch break from work.
Thank you Jeremy for going for it there for a few years!

Chester Blacksmith & Ryan Evans “Blueprint” Section

October 14, 2016

Here is a proper flashback Friday for you to check out. Snakebite uploaded the old Chester Blacksmith and Ryan Evans section from the “Blueprint” video that came out back in 2001 online. Both of these guys slayed every rail and ledge they came across, plus blasted a few quarter pipes at different skateparks, too. Hit play and enjoy!

“Chester & Ryan were both ready to destroy every rail they at this time! Chester riding a brakeless Schwinn Blue Falcon race bike and Ryan riding the beast of a Kink Revision B.
I do remember Ryan cleaning that last rail while Ashland High was taking a lunch break so he had a good sized audience.

Eric Walter “Blueprint” Section

October 6, 2016

Everyone knows that one rider that isn’t scared to send it and goes absolutely huge on everything from ramps to trails and street. Back in 2001, Eric Walter showed everyone he was definitely that guy when “Blueprint” dropped! 15 years later and the footage kicks just as much ass! Check it out!

“During the 3 years that we filmed for Blue print Eric went hard. So hard that he broke his leg twice. When he wrecks on the roofgap in the begining of his section it was right after he was cleared to ride and somehow that didn’t break his leg!
Eric always was on attack when he rode approaching everything full speed and with hopes of going as high as he could!
