In The Cut – Substance At Home

DIG coming through with another “In The Cut” for your viewing pleasure. This time we get a ton of B-Roll, crashes and random clips from the Substance crew’s “Substance At Home” video! Plenty to take in with this one, so hit play and check it!

“When you film a video for over half a year like ‘Substance At Home’ you’re going to encounter all sorts, from angry members of the public, aggro security, kooks, highs, lows, and everything in-between. “Substance At Home”

Here’s one we’ve been excited to see for a minute now. Hit play to check out the new Substance video, “Substance At Home” featuring Greg Layden, Guy Scroggie, Jack Campbell, Sam Colville, Joe Jarvis, Jonny Moffat, Si Gibb, Jonny Blaikie, Craig Sime and Shahbaz getting down on their home spots in Scotland. This video is a good mix of guys we’ve been watching for a few years now and a few new, up and comers all putting in the work. Great spots, dialed riding and some clean film work. You won’t want to pass this one up!

“It’s been a year now since the release of the ‘We Are Substance’ video and it’s crazy to see the progression of Glasgow, UK’s Substance store and it’s crew. This new project, ‘Substance At Home’ has been in the works for eight months now, and between clashing commitments with filmers, leg haematomas, eagle eyed parking wardens, and some good and bad security wallopers, it’s been a rough ride but i’m sure you’ll agree the final outcome is a winner. Some unbelievable clips from the likes of Greg Layden, Joe Jarvis, Craig Sime and more – these dudes just keep getting better and better! It always astonishes me as to how much influence a BMX shop can have on it’s local scene and Substance only reinforces that way of thinking. Substance In The City – Part 4

The latest round of Substance In the City has arrived. Once again, the Substance crew spent a sunny day rolling through spots around Glasgow from street spots to skateparks. This is a raw cut with a mix of riding and random clips they collected along the way, with a little bit of Pokemon Go in between sessions.

“For episode 4 of Substance In The City Jonny Blakie made the trip from Edinburgh to be surprised with a fresh frame. We then headed to the south side of Glasgow starting at the Science centre then on the Queens Park and finishing off at the Shawfield ledges. We got amazing weather and even managed to get some drone clips.”

Substance BMX – Sunny Days at Saughton

Some of the Substance BMX squad spent a few afternoons at the Saughton Skatepark stacking clips for a quick new edit. It ended up being some real productive sessions and they ended up with more than they expected. Hit play if you want to see all the grinds and other tricks that went down!

Substance In The City – Episode 3

The Substance crew are back at it again with another raw cut from some of the sessions they have been catching out in the streets of Glasgow. This time around the crew roll around to a handful of spots where they put their pegs to good use on a number of rails and ledges. This has a pretty chill vibe to it, but there’s plenty of heat to take in! Check it!

Substance BMX X KGB Jam 2016

The other day we got a look at a raw cut from the Substance X KGB jam ( In The Cut – Substance KGB Jam 2016 ), now we get a look at a more edited highlight reel that’s more focused on the riding. Needless to say, this jam ended up getting a huge group of riders together for a full day of good times and damn good riding. Take a look!

In The Cut – Substance KGB Jam 2016

The Substance crew threw theirselves a jam at the park just down the street from their shop to get all the locals together for some good times. Check out some highlights from the day in this raw cut giving you a look at some of the riding that went down, along with some of the hilarious extras. Looks like it was a good day to us!

“Last Saturday Glasgow’s BMX community donned their tinfoil hats, set the gauge to “Mindwheels” and prepared for another annual Substance KGB Jam in the heart of Glasgow’s houmous and kale feasting westend, just footsteps from its beloved Substance BMX shop.
