Broc Raiford OFF Volume Bikes

January 2, 2020

View this post on Instagram

It has been nothing short of an incredible 8 years riding for @volumebikes , but today i am here to announce that I will no longer be a part of their team in 2020. I would like to take this time to thank @Briancastillo and La Wong for the never ending support as well as the opportunity to grow with them during our time together! Thank you to all my teammates for the camaraderie and non-stop laughs over the years, y’all will always be family despite this change.

A post shared by Broc Raiford (@brocraiford) on Jan 1, 2020 at 11:51am PST

It’s a new year, and with that being said, it means we’ll be seeing some sponsor changes happening. Some will be pretty predictable, others unexpected, some will end on good terms, others on bad. Today we found out that Broc Raiford has decided to step down from the Volume Bikes team after 8 years with the brand. Fortunately it looks like, despite it being pretty unexpected outside of Broc and Volume, things ended on real good terms and both sides had nothing but good things to say. You can check out Broc’s post about the news above and Volume’s down below…

Now, the question is… Where is Broc heading? The first that comes to mind is Sunday with his long time sponsor Odyssey being an obvious reason why that would work. However, there are a handful of other brands Broc would fit with like Fit, Cult or even possibly Kink. Another more obvious option would be BSD with the closer relationship that Full Factory have with them over in the U.K and here in the U.S now. Personally leaning toward Sunday or BSD, but we’ve been surprised before. We’re sure we’ll be finding out sooner than later.

Volume Bikes – Yann Navarro In Toulouse

November 18, 2019

Volume Bikes‘ connect over in France, Yann Navarro, coming through with a fresh video jam packed with goodness from the streets of Toulouse for your viewing pleasure. This video has a pretty laidback vibe to it from the music, but there’s no shortage of heat to see from big stretched no handers down stair sets to wallrides, gaps and more.

“French Volume rider, Yann Navarro started filming for this video with Jabrane HadjTaieb 8 months ago. They wanted to film a full street video in-between school and work. Filmed only in Toulouse, France. This video shows you one of the most beautiful French cities, full of amazing spots!” – Ezco Distribution

Volume Bikes 20th Anniversary Dinosaur Frame BMX

Now this is a serious Flashback Friday. Volume Bikes just announced that they will be re-releasing their old Dinosaur frame as a part of their 20th anniversary! This brings me waaay back to when I was first getting into BMX and remember seeing one of the locals at the trails rolling around on one of the original Volume Dinosaur frames when it first came out way back in 2001. Fast forward all these years and Volume will be re-releasing the Brian Castillo signature frame with modern materials and geometry (along with a weight that won’t throw your back out!) that fits with 2020 style BMX frames. Check out full details on the frame below, along with geometry, specs and photos! Available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Volume Bikes worldwide now like Source BMX!

“For Volume’s 20th anniversary we wanted to bring back a classic frame. Brian Castillo’s signature Dinosaur! This frame originally came out in 2001! Brian knew what he wanted back then, with it only being available in a 20.5” top tube (Exactly as he rode it himself) and dropouts borrowed from a previous years Volume frame. Even today, Brian’s influence on bmx still shows in riders around the world, whether they know it or not.
