Day Trip With The Accent Crew

May 25, 2017

It has been a little while since we’ve seen a BMX video from the Accent Collaboration crew, but it looks like they’re still going strong. Here’s a fresh one from some time the U.S crew spent cruising in Japan with some of their crew from over there! This has a pretty laid back vibe.

“This time Day Trip Series got the ‘ACCENT CREW’ in town joined by some local homies.

Accent Crew : James Meliota / Umihiko Asano / Josiah Webber
Homies : Brett Decker / Oscar Wong / Chung Li / Yuk Ho / Sam Lee / Chiu Ching Hin

How To Make A Bike Chain Fidget Spinner

May 25, 2017

There’s no doubt that Fidget Spinners have been the latest trend that has been popping up everywhere. We’ve seen probably a million videos popping up on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. the past few weeks. There has been a ton of people getting creative and making unique ones that are pretty cool. Today, we stumbled across a video of one Fidget Spinner made from a bike chain that we thought was interesting and pretty easy to make. A quick search on Youtube revealed that there were a bunch of tutorials on How To Make A Bike Chain Fidget Spinner that all pretty much do the same thing. We figured some of you might be interested in making your own, so below are a few tutorial examples. All you need is a chain, a bearing and some zip ties to make this work. You will likely need a Chain Breaker, too, but it’s not completely necessary since the video below shows you a work around for that. You can also use a bolt and nut to help keep it from rubbing when you hold it to keep it spinning longer as well. Love ’em or hate ’em, this is a pretty interesting idea that’s BMX related. We’re digging that half link one on the bottom. Take a peek!

Bonus points in this video for showing a trick to break a chain without a chain breaker in the video above.

“Search through your workbench, gather some old bike parts and make your own fidget spinner. This is a really simple toy to make. Will you be making your own hand spinner/fidget spinner? Any suggestions for further upgrades, let us know below! Happy spinning!” – Chain Reaction Cycles

“I just used bike chain for Fidget Spinner looking good and easy to make.” – JS Useful

The first two videos above show you how to make a bike chain fidget spinner using zip ties to holds the chain together. Essentially you need to break the chain down to length, then use one long or two shorter zip ties to connect it into a circle that fits tightly around the bearing. It looks like skateboard wheel bearing would do the trick the best. You could use hub bearings or even a bottom bracket bearing if you wanted to get crazy. After you get it all together, you can use hot glue to hold the chain in place on the bearing even better. Pretty basic and a pretty cool idea.

What do you think? Any tips or tricks you have? Let us know in the comments below!

Shadow Conspiracy X Subrosa World Tour – Colorado

May 25, 2017

The Shadow Conspiracy and Subrosa World Tour continues! This time the crew made their way to Colorado to visit Pusher BMX and a few other shops to have parking lot sessions and pizza parties! Check out what went down!

“The Shadow Conspiracy/ Subrosa World Tour has hit tons of states across the U.S. and has ventured many countries across Europe. On this leg the boys hit a bunch of shops and spots around the Denver area.

With the help of QBP this trip we gathered up Shadow/ Subrosa riders Lahsaan Kobza, Matt Ray, Kyle Hart, Jono Hopping, and Johnny Atencio and hit the road!

The guys met a bunch of awesome riders and fans, and visited 3 shops including Pusher BMX, Rideco Bike Shop, and The Fix Bike Shop.

We ran into some bad weather, at a few shops, so this video is from our session at Pusher!

Thanks to QBP, Pusher, Rideco, The Fix, and all the riders who came out and showed us some love!

Maxime Bonfil – Winter 2017 No Budget Video

May 25, 2017

No budget? No problem!

One of the best parts about BMX is that it really doesn’t cost that much money to make things happen. Sure, bikes and parks can get a little spendy, but for the most part you can make things work with virtually no budget. Maxime Bonfil didn’t have a budget, but that didn’t keep him from making his way to a handful of skateparks, DIY and street spots to film for his latest video. As always, Maxime brings a ton of style to the table and this video has more tire slides and cranked turndowns than anything. It’s a damn good watch from start to finish, so enjoy!
