If you haven’t heard of Devon, there’s a good chance you don’t really ride that much, or you are too busy actually riding. In the last probably two months he has had this explosion of web videos that seemed like he had come out every other day. The talent Devon holds got my attention and I started getting more and more curious what this guy was all about. I figured I’d see if he would be into an interview, and he came through. Matt Markese Rail Ride
I’ve been thinking about doing something like this recently, but never really had the time to figure it all out. Basically, what I want to start doing is featuring some photographers who are just getting into it but already shooting pretty solid photos. Think of it like a Shooter on the Dig site, but with guys who are newer to photography and not as established as the guys that get featured on Dig. This interview is one that I’m especially stoked on. For those of you who aren’t firmiliar with Fred, he’s the all around guy at Dig (website, magazine, photos, etc, etc) and freelances quite a bit as well. In the last year that I’ve been working for Dig, I’ve worked pretty closely with Fred doing the website content and for the products section in the magazine. Not only that, his photos are really good. I wanted to get an interview with him and it’s finally here for you to check out. Chris is another one of those names who has been popping up more and more lately in the filming and editing side of BMX these days. Whether it’s for a Vital exclusive, or a Volume web edit, I never have to question if it’s going to be a quality video to check out. Not only that, his brother is Matty and that should create some sort of fear because of what these two combined can create. When you spend as much time as I do watching edits and what not, you eventually start catching on to names you should be prepared to see a good edit from. Over the last few months, I’ve been seeing Shane’s name pop up more and more with some solid filming and editing. I also noticed that he spent a lot of time in Connecticut and California. Troy is the kind of rider that has a style that will stick in your head. As soon as you see somebody do something similar to him, you tend to think of him. I’ve wanted to do an interview with him for quite some time, and finally things worked out. I’ve come to discover Troy is a real positive guy, and seems to be a real nice guy because of it. There’s no doubt that if you found this interview with Drew, you have seen his recent edits or him killing it somewhere. If not, well, they’re at the bottom. Since Drew won Simpel Session he has been a hot commodity. With his The Come Up interview that dropped yesterday, we almost decided to scrap the interview.
