January 2, 2018

Odyssey dropped their team on the streets of London and they went to work stacking some heavy clips!

A little while back, some of the Odyssey team hopped on a plane on over to London to explore the massive city’s endless spots. Here’s what the crew got into with a few of their U.K connects! Amazing riding, great spots and some crispy clean film work. You won’t want to pass this BMX video up!

“Gary Young, Broc Raiford, Justin Spriet, Travis Hughes, Tariq Haouche, Olly Rendle, and Brad McNicol took to the streets of London and THREW DOWN on unique UK spots. Huge thanks to IMG Distribution for all the hospitality, our killer tour guide Toby Goodyear, and all the rad locals we rode with!” – Odyssey

Darryl Tocco’s Final Pro Video Part

January 2, 2018

Darryl Tocco dropping some fire to start 2018 off with a bang with his final pro video part for Kink and Eclat!

If there’s one rider we always get stoked to see fresh footage from, it’s Darryl Tocco! Between his incredibly perfect barspins, buttery smooth style and the magic he whips up with his brakes, we are always pumped on what he has for footage. Here’s a fresh banger to start the year off right for Kink BMX and Eclat you cannot pass up! Amazing riding, super clean film work and some great spots. Unfortunately, this is also a bit bitter sweet because Darryl will be “retiring” after this video to focus more on the film work he’s been doing for the past few years. It’s not the last time we’ll see footage of him, but it’s the last time as a Pro for both brands. Definitely a bummer, but we had a feeling this might becoming as he has spent more and more time behind the lens.

“Darryl has been focusing his efforts on the filming side more recently, but has still quietly been stacking his classic bangers over the last year, to put together one last section of timeless, clean, and original street riding. Darryl has been instrumental in everything we have been doing since 2006, and has played a huge role in our history both in front and behind the camera. He has traversed the world with us, documenting everything, and shredding along the way. This is by no means the last you’ll hear of Darryl Tocco; because of course his influence will always be prevalent, as he continues to produce high quality Kink video content full time! Cheers Darryl, to the past, present, and future!” – Kink

“When Éclat launched in 2008, Darryl Tocco was one of the first riders we added to the original team. His energy and unique style fitted exactly with the vision we had for the brand, and we knew we wanted him part of it. Almost 10 years later, Darryl continues to bring his effortless style and dynamic to every spot he touches. On top of all of this, his talents have translated outside of riding and have allowed him to evolve into an incredibly gifted film maker as you will have seen in our recent SOCIALITES video. We couldn’t be more proud to call Darryl a friend and thankful to have him part of our journey and involved in what we do over the years. Whilst Darryl is taking a step down from the PRO team he will always be a valued and respected member of the éclat family, and connected with the brand as strongly as ever. Here’s a video to remind yourself of what an awesome individual Darryl is, and how hard he rips it on a bike in his 2018 video which just dropped.” – Eclat

“Start 2018 off right with a heavy dose of that classic Darryl Tocco steeze. Filmed mostly within the last year, Darryl’s latest effort for Kink x Eclat is full of his unwavering two pegs, cassette, rear brake style that he makes look so good—the “Tocco” setup, if you will. With those high hops, damn fine looking barspins, and lots of speed… thanks for keeping it classy, Darryl.” – Ride BMX

January 2, 2018

Does crank arm length on a BMX bike matter? It does! Here’s a video where Brant Moore discusses it…

It’s that time of the week for Brant Moore to do a little tech tip for you guys. This time around he is looking at how crank arm length has an affect on a BMX bike. Brant talks about the different sizes, the difference between longer cranks and shorter cranks and much more. This is great info if you’re considering getting new cranks and you aren’t quite sure what size to go with. Hit play and take it all in!

“There are many different crank lengths in the world of bicycles.
The question is, does crank length matter?

In this week’s Tuesday Tip, we answer that question through the help of some insight from Profile Racing as well as a scientific study of power output in varying crank lengths.”

GT Bicycles “Seriously Fun” – FULL VIDEO

January 2, 2018

GT Bicycles have released their entire “Seriously Fun” DVD online for your viewing pleasure!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H4UyPLGMA8

A little while back each of the sections from the GT Bicycles “Seriously Fun” DVD was released online, now today we get the full DVD all in one place for your viewing pleasure! Hit that play button and take in all 21 minutes of this gem. It’s an amazing watch from start to finish!

“In early 2015, GT took to the streets of Los Angeles and Kansas City to uncover a plethora of untapped spots across these two vastly different cities. With Ben Ward, GT BMX product and team manager at the helm, the brand released two successful shorter web videos – GT in LA and Bleeding Kansas – to kick off the beginning of a new era for GT BMX.

“GT in LA and Bleeding Kansas were incredible for the brand and showed the industry what we could do as individuals and as a team. We wanted to make sure what we did next topped them,” said Ward. “After seeing both edits, the new guys on the team were eager to start working on something original; that’s when the idea of a full-length video was proposed. The crew was fired up, and they started filming and stacking their own clips.

“Then, at the end of 2016, we reviewed their footage, jampacked with newly discovered spots and never-before-seen tricks; we knew we had something great in the making, and we began to see Seriously Fun emerge.”

Seriously Fun captures GT’s good times energy capitalizing on GT’s athletes’ signature riding styles and personalities. In Seriously Fun, viewers will see how seriously the team takes their fun from coast to coast in the US to Brazil, France, Germany, the UK, Taiwan, and more.

“It’s been a long time since GT has produced a full-length video and DVD. I can’t think of a better way to pay respect to our athletes who share the same passion for BMX. Seriously Fun reflects each personality through their approach to riding and filming,” added Ward.

When looking for partners to produce the video, Ride BMX was the obvious choice. GT has been an advertising partner with the magazine for two-and-a-half years, and most of the outlet’s editorial and video staff have been instrumental in many of GT’s recent online releases.

In addition, GT selected BMX industry videographer and editor Andrew Brady to bring Seriously Fun to life. It was Brady’s overall passion and excitement for the project which made him the main man for the job.

It looks like the weather in Northern California wasn’t enough to keep Bob Randel, and crew from hopping a plane to Barcelona to spend some time exploring the spots and soaking up the sunshine. Check out what the Format Error crew got into during their stay!

“We are always excited to bring you videos from the NorCal BMX scene and this time it’s an introduction to Format Error, a new project from Bob Randel, the creator of the Percept DVD. No official word on what’s in store next, but we’ll be eagerly awaiting whatever is to come. In the meantime enjoy this collection of footage from Barcelona featuring Matt Nietschke, Nick Tansley, Bob Randel, Wes Rhoe, Mauro Valencia, and John McGowan.” – DIG

Les Oublies #5

January 2, 2018

Poiss Barbier dropped the latest Les Oublies video!

Last year, crazy to think it’s already 2018, Poiss Barbier had a steady flow of videos popping up. It looks like he had some leftover footage, so he decided to put together this video with all the clips. We’re not sure how these were all leftover clips, but we’re just glad they made their way online finally. Take a peek! This is real solid.

“Here are some leftovers from various projects from 2017. Clips from Miami to Paris.”
