Madera In Minnesota

A little while back the Madera team spent a week and a half exploring street spots around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota! The Twin Cities area is fairly untapped when it comes to spots since it’s an often overlooked place to travel to, to ride. The Madera team decided to see what the area had to offer and it’s safe to say they weren’t disappointed. Check out just over 7 minutes of clips the crew were able to stack on some amazing spots! The Maderasota video is too good to pass up!

“Madera is family, so when the TM wanted to plan a trip for 2017, he made sure it would be a place where almost everyone associated with Madera could meet up and shred. It just so happens that the place he picked, Minneapolis, is chocked full of spots as well. Over the course of 10 days, almost everyone associated with the Madera team came through and the result is 10 minutes of diverse and banging footage. From rails to walls and ledges to wedges, the Madera guys shredded hard and had a blast doing it. Take a look at what kind of riding happens when good friends who are badass bike riders get together in a cool city with an amazing videographer.

Sunday Bikes have released their Soundwave V2 frame in this new “Sunday Blue” colorway! The Soundwave V2 is made from 100% 41-Thermal Heat-Treated 4130 Chromoly with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.5″ bottom bracket height, 9″ standover height and a 13.5″ – 13.75″ chainstay length. You can find a post-weld machined Integrated head tube, the classic Sunday downtube gusset, top and down tubes with the Waves to help resist denting, a Butted seat tube and Miter Cut top tube, post-weld machined Mid bottom bracket, Director style wishbone on the chainstay, tapered chain and seat stays, boxed chainstays to resist denting and give you extra clearance for 2.40″ tires, removable brake mounts and hollow 8mm thick dropouts with integrated chain tensioners.

The Soundwave V2 also comes with the Black Magic anti-rust coating and you even get a LIFETIME WARRANTY due to the 41 Thermal heat-treatment.

BSD – Folding Donnastreet Tires

Alex Donnachie’s new signature tire just got a little lighter!

Are you on the hunt for some fresh folding BMX Tires? The crew at BSD have just released Alex Donnachie‘s signature Donnastreet Tire in a new Kevlar bead folding version. The tire features the same tread pattern as the existing Donnastreet tire with the extra grippy, low rolling resistance rubber compound and a tear resistant silkworm casing, BSD have just replaced the wire bead with a Kevlar bead. Doing this has made the tire lighter with a weight of 22.50 oz. for the 2.30″ size and 23.63 oz. for the 2.40″ version.

The Donnastreet Folding Tire is available in black only, sizes of 2.30″ and 2.40″ and can be picked up through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry BSD worldwide starting now. If you’re not a fan of the folding Kevlar bead, you can still pick the tire up in the Wire Bead Donnastreet Tire!

“Business II” – Andrew Phillips Section

It looks like it’s time for the Business crew up in Canada to start uploading sections from their “Business II” DVD! To kick things off, we get a look at Andrew Phillips‘ section that is packed with grinds, some great setups and a lot of dumpster usage. Check it out!

““Business II is a scene video out of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada that has been 5 years in the making. The entirety of this video was filmed on the east coast of Canada, featuring a long line up some of the most talented street riders in the Maritimes, with tons of different styles. We hope you enjoy it.”

Andrew is from Moncton, NB about 3 hours away from Halifax. The first day that Matt and Andrew came to Halifax to seriously film we ended up stacking like crazy and I knew they could easily film full parts. A handfull of roadtrips later and he filmed an almost 5 minute long section packed with bangers. He finished this section when he was 19. He’s a quiet guy that enjoys hard boiled eggs, haddock, pool, darts and tooth hangers. He’s also just released his first 35mm photo zine called “Oh That Spot” which is available for purchase on the Business BMX big cartel. He’s 20 now and we’ve got a lot in the works moving forward.

FISE Edmonton 2017 Highlights

Let’s Help Todd Nichols Out

Let’s help out a good guy and have a good time doing it!

Over the years we’ve featured Todd Nichols photo work on the site a handful of times and we’re always stoked to see what he has going on. Unfortunately today we got wind from David Long that Todd had a crash and blew out his knee in Louisville the other weekend. A few of his friends are throwing a big jam on September 30th on the Back Alley Bikes ramp to help raise some funds to help him pay off his medical bills and get back to riding and shooting photos.
