NASS 2017 Rider List Announced

June 22, 2017

The annual NASS Festival is going down over in the UK July 6th – 9th and we just got word of the rider line up for the BMX park, vert, dirt and flatland contests. As expected, there’s plenty of big names that should be a draw for a good show. Check out the full list below!

NASS Festival 2017 BMX Rider Line Up

“Once again, an epic line-up of the world’s best BMXers will compete across Park, Vert, Dirt and Flatland at the UK’s number one action sports festival this July.

For a second year, the iBMXFF World Championships will return to NASS Festival on the 6th – 9th July.

Reigning BMX world champions Logan Martin, Vince Bryon and Nick Bruce are all returning to defend their crowns and are joined by the likes of Mark Webb, Daniel Dhers, Daniel Sandoval, Brandon Loupos and Alex Coleborn.

Last year Logan Martin took Pro Park Gold with ease and in Vert no-one could touch Vince Byron as he took top spot ahead of Simon Tabron and Douglas Oliviera. Ohio’s Nick Bruce was unstoppable in Dirt as he was named World Champion ahead of Leandro Moreira and Daniel Sandoval.

Richie Inskip, NASS Sports Manager, said: “BMX is a massive part of what NASS is all about and to host the BMX World Championships is a huge honour so to host it two years in a row is just insane, we couldn’t be happier about it.”

“We’ve got some of the biggest and best names in the sport coming to NASS this year and I have no doubt that this year’s contest is going to be even bigger than last year. These guys may be young but make no mistake, they’re the best around and they’re all serious competitors so we’re going to be in for quite a show.”

Inspired by the individuality and creativity of alternative youth culture, 15,000 music & action sport fans will make their way to the Bath & West Showground for a weekend of action sports, live music and hardcore revelry.

Hip Hop royalty in the shape of Wu Tang Clan’s Method Man and Redman have been announced to headline Friday night supported by rising grime star Giggs. They join grime legend Kano, Aussie Drum and Bass outfit Pendulum and DJ duo Sigma with many more musical acts still to be announced.

Scotty Cranmer – Budget Build Ramp Challenge

June 21, 2017

Scotty Cranmer decided it’s time for another Budget Build. This time around he’s having the guys try and figure out how to build a ramp setup out of old pallets and random parts around like folding chairs and saw horses. Sounds sketchy? It is! Check out what Big Boy, Vinny Mannino and Cory Berglar were able to throw down on the ramp below!

“We have done the budget build here on the channel before but it has been a while. So today we decided to try and create a sketchy spine ramp in the back of my bike shop. After a couple hours of building it we finally had a ghetto but working spine ramp. Videos like these are to show you don’t always need a skatepark to have fun and learn new tricks on your bike you just need to have some creative brains and the ability to have fun!”

Calling The Shots with Alex Coleborn

June 21, 2017

Alex Coleborn coming through with a fresh round of Calling The Shots that he did with Maxime Charveron and Callum Rafferty at Adrenaline Alley skatepark over in the UK! They let their fans on Instagram call the shots and they went to work dropping some dialed tricks all around the park!

“Yo Guys here’s a calling the shots video we filmed at Adrenaline Alley Skatepark, With @Callumraffertybmx & @maximecharveron”

FloriDeah – Woodward Day 2

June 21, 2017

Day two of the Woodward East trip that Trey Jones, Matty Cranmer and Jabe Jones are on this week. Here’s a look at Trey and Matty out cruising a bunch of the different ramp setups around camp. It looks like Jabe is rocking crutches, so he’s probably out for the week. Plenty of dialed riding and laughs throughout the day. Check it!

“Day 2 was amazing! I filmed through out the day of just everything that was going on. A lot of stuff went on and we rode tons of parks. Overall solid day. Stay tuned for Day 3 tomorrow!”

GT Bicycles – “Seriously Fun” – Full Video

June 21, 2017

Here’s a BMX video we’ve been really looking forward to seeing! The GT Bicycles team have been busy bouncing around the world this past year stacking clips on the streets from California to Taiwan and plenty of places in between! Here’s a look at their full “Seriously Fun” video that will be online for the next 72 hours courtesy of Ride BMX! Get on that play button and check out all 21 minutes of pure goodness before your time runs out! Everything about this kicks ass! If you want, you can download a copy right here and GT dealers will have physical DVD’s soon as well!

“It’s here!!! GT is currently premiering their new 20-minute DVD “Seriously Fun” right here on the site for 72 hours! The video is amazing, from Brian Kachinsky‘s BANGER opening section, to the sleeper Rob Wise section, grind technician Jeff with Glasses‘ part, Albert Mercado‘s light-hearted and uber-creative section, or the savage Dan Conway‘s HEATER of an ender. There are also appearances from the rest of the team like a short but sweet section from Jason Phelan, and a mix from the AM and flow crew. The video has feel-good vibes throughout and some seriously insane riding. High-speed gaps, gap to rails, huge/tall rails and hubbas, unique but gnarly setups, creative/tech jibs, spot use, crusty spots, Cali spots, this is GT BMX in 2017 and it’s pretty damn awesome.

DVD’s will be packed full of extras including past GT edits and a big secret bonus menu. Available soon at GT Dealers!” – Ride BMX

Monster Energy – Kevin Kalkoff: ESTHÉTIQUE

June 21, 2017

Now this is what we’re talking about! Monster Energy just released Kevin Kalkoff‘s new ESTHÉTIQUE where he teamed up with filmer Rich Forne to bring his speed and style to some unique spots! This video requires no music and is nothing short of a Must See! Enjoy!

“Sometimes, BMX is more about the set up/spot and how you ride it rather than the amount of tricks that get done. Monster Energy BMX rider Kevin Kalkoff lives by that rule and brings you ‘ESTHÉTIQUE’ as a perfect example that’s its not what you do but how you do it.

Sit back and enjoy raw and real BMX riding from one of the most stylish in the game.”
