Inside Profile Racing – A Tour with Matt Coplon
When it comes to BMX parts and products, traditionally the person buying the product only gets to see the product either in the shop they bought it from or a few photos online before making the purchase and seeing it turn up a few days later in a box. Only few ever really see where the product actually was made and came from before getting to that stage.
There are only a handful of brands that can say they produce their products in-house in BMX or, really, in the entire bicycle industry, and it goes without saying that it’s an interesting process to see.
We made a trip to the Profile Racing warehouse in St. Petersburg, Florida to catch a tour of the warehouse with Matt Coplon to see just where the hubs, cranks, sprockets, stems and a number of other products are produced for Profile and Madera. Between the freestyle BMX, BMX racing, mountain bike and even car parts they produce, there’s quite a bit to see from the stock to the crazy machines they use to produce everything from a piece of metal into a precision product.
Hit play, kick back and take the tour! Big thanks to Matt Coplon and Profile Racing for letting us come through!

Jason Phelan – Deep Sea BMXing
We have seen some interesting Kickstarter campaigns over the years, but this is probably one of the most interesting BMX related ones. Jason Phelan has an idea for a crazy video filmed on a couple of boats and even a little under water action. The idea is there, he has permission to use the boats and everything is set in motion. The only thing left is securing some funding for the project to build the ramps, get the camera crew and all the logistics taken care of. Hit play above for more information, then hit up the Kickstarter Page for more info!
“Hey guys this is my Kickstarted project idea. If you want to be part of this project please support and share by clicking the link. I plan to bring dreams to life teaming up with deep sea divers.
