Matt Nordstrom Interview

All photos by Walter Pieringer
Anyone that has been riding BMX long enough has seen how different generations come and go and it seems like with each generation we get a whole new level of riding that we never expected to see. We’ve been seeing a number of new riders starting to really make a name for themselves lately and it’s safe to say that Matt Nordstrom is one of those guys who has really been on fire lately and really pushing BMX to new levels. After seeing him in countless videos, getting super stoked on his riding and just seeing how much traveling and crazy stuff he has going on, we knew it was time to get ahold of him to find out a little more about him! Let’s see what he had to say!
Name: Matt Nordstrom
Mateus Beckmann – Street Style 2015
Mateus Beckmann just sent through his latest BMX video which is packed with some damn good clips of his flatland, ramp, street hybrid style. This has a ton of crazy combos in it, especially the fakie rail ride to tailwhip off that you gotta see! Hit play and take all of this in!

Demolition – Mike Gray 2015 Video
You know when Mike Gray has a new BMX video out, that you cannot miss it! Today Mike’s new Demolition Parts video dropped and it’s an absolute BANGER and MUST SEE! Mike puts his pegs to heavy use, gets smooth with his freecoaster and is definitely not scared to send it off a big drop! Take a look at this BMX video because you will NOT be disappointed!
“Mike Gray WENT IN on this full section for his parts sponsor Demolition. For over a year Mike stacked clips with SoCal lensman Doeby Huynh around the school yards and city streets of San Diego, and even snagged some footy while on a trip to Rochester, NY. This video coincides with Mike’s upcoming Interview “Mind the Gap” in issue 211 of RideBMX Magazine. From lengthy technical lines to handrail destruction, mike handles business, but where he really shines is in his selection of roof setups, and the tricks he pairs them with. Mike is fucking unreal and I think it’s safe to say that this video puts him on the map as one of the very top dudes in the street game right now, and he’s not slowing down any time some, I promise you that.” – Ride BMX

Shadow Conspiracy – What Could Be Left? Good Times Edit
When you put as much time as The Shadow Conspiracy put into their “What Could Go Wrong” DVD, you know they had a ton of leftover footage that needed a home. Here’s just some b-roll to the b-roll from crashes to hilarious moments off their bikes! Take a look!
“Throughout the course of filming for our latest full-lenght video “What Could Go Wrong?” we managed to amass a large amount of B Roll footage. A fair bit of that footage is found throughout WCGW, mostly in the epic, 7 minute credits section, but there was still a lot that was left out. We had an amazing time filming this video and we wanted to make sure all the good times were seen. Enjoy!
Filmed and edited by Ryan Chadwick

Subrosa at Epic BMX
The Subrosa Brand crew keeping their California tour going strong. Check out this video from the big session the guys caught in at the local skatepark and then the rail jam session that went down at Epic BMX. This looks like it was one hell of a good day to us!
“The Subrosa in California shop stop tour continues with an amazing stop at Epic BMX in Westminster, CA!
This time we switched up the game plan and had the locals meet up with us at a skatepark near the shop for a quick session before riding to the shop together for the jam!
Hit play for some serious fun and shredding from Subrosa pros Simone Barraco, Lahsaan Kobza, Hoang Tran, Kyle Hart, and Nick Bullen amongst many talented locals, including the Common Crew!
Big thanks to everyone who came out!

Lil’ Pros BMX Tour – Surprise Session at the Nowear Compound
This is rad. Dustin Grice and a few others made a trip from Minnesota out to the Nowear Compound to catch a session on all the ramps and dirt jumps. Dustin pulled out the camera to document the riding from some of the young guns and the “old guys”, too! Take a look!
“Located right in the very center of the United States, lies a little gem in the middle of nowhere called the “NoWear Compound”.
