Ben Winter – Volume X Demolition

There’s always been a constant flow of talent coming out of Australia, an it looks like Ben Winter is another one we need to keep an eye out for. We’ve seen Ben’s name pop up a few times over the past few years, but it looks like he’s making moves for 2021. Here’s his latest for Volume and Demolition filled with heavy grinds, big drops and more that is well worth a look! Hit play and get familiar.

“After spending about a year making occasional missions with Ben around our local region (here in Australia), we have brought to you a solid 2 minutes of riding. Early this year Ben got the recognition that all his peers reckons he deserved and had himself a helping hand from Volume/Demolition. Ben is normally the most energetic rider out of anyone he rides with. He can create something spectacular out of any spot, whether it be a session on a 3 stair or a solid clip on a 15, he has every spot covered with his wide range of bike control.” – Cooper Brownlee

Filmed and edited by Guy Perrett
Additional filming by Ryan Rostirolla, Joseph Browning, Jye Trigg, Josh Irvine, Jake Ryan and Jarrod Piel.

Lux BMX – What’s Up With Boyd Hilder

If you follow Boyd Hilder, you would know he’s been off his bike recovering from knee surgery and working on getting back to riding shape. Lux BMX caught up with Boyd to talk about his injury, working on his Odyssey “Locked Down Unda” video, answering some questions from the fans on Instagram an more. Hit play and see what’s up with Boyd!

“Boyd Hilder is a name to be reckoned with in the BMX world and the past few years have really shown us that. From winning a NORA cup to having his own signature frame with Federal, Boyd has been doing all the right things to cement his name in the BMX history books.
His newest video project put together by notorious Brisbane BMX filmer and Lux team legend Troy Charlesworth made waves around the world and for good reason. From big street moves to tech park lines, Boyd has all bases covered!
Late last year Boyd had a crash at Kuraby skatepark in Brisbane that did some damage to his knee and has put him on the couch for some time. Boyd isn’t one to sit still and has been doing the most for his recovery and keeping himself busy. From gardening to Netflix Boyd has been recovering and putting the work in to get back on his bike as soon and as strong as possible.
I recently went and caught up with Boyd to see what he had been up to, his day today and what’s on in his near future. He answers some of your questions and hints to another jam he wants to put on early this year! You don’t want to miss this!

United BMX – Jack Seymour 2021

Jack Seymour cooked up a brand new video for United from the streets of Luxembourg to kick the new year off right. This one has a pretty chill and laid back vibe to it, but the spots are on point and the riding is real solid. Take a look!

“Everything in this video was filmed in Luxembourg, mostly Luxembourg town (capital) and just a bit from the villages around. The architecture in the centre gives us a lot of good spots and more possibilities, as long as there are no security or crazy angry people yelling at you haha. The country is really small, so during the last months it was difficult to go over the borders, the goal was to make an edit only filmed here. As a lot of people don’t have Luxembourg really on their radar to do a trip (which I can understand haha), we wanted to show that we have spots and a good scene here. (We always happy to show people around and having a good time with new connects) The skate scene here is way bigger than BMX, especially the filming aspect. Having someone who is motivated to film and go for missions with you is really hard… thats why I’m forever thankful to Nico. He is the main guy here behind the lens in the skate scene and never had something to do with BMX. We only knew each other from the skatepark or the spots, but he immediately said let’s go for it and try.
Just after the first clip and day riding with him I knew that this was going to be a damn good time. Shoutout to Nico Uhler, thank you for the good days, the many laughs and in general the good time, you the man ! And shoutout to Bijan Kesseler (@bijansbmx) for keeping BMX alive in Luxembourg, you doing a great job my friend! Much love to both of them.
