Update: BV Jam 2011 Flyer

BV Jam 2011

Where has January gone? It flew on by real quick along with the million other things going on. Either way, the 29th is the big day for the jam I’m throwing at Bluff Valley skatepark which is this SATURDAY. Above is the updated flyer. I was able to get a lot of support for the jam as you can see by all the sponsors for the flyer, and I’ve already got a ton of stuff to hook everyone up with (with more still on the way!) for riding and coming out. I’d like to thank everyone who pitched in to help make this happen. The doors open at noon Saturday with the contest getting underway at 2. It will be $10 for the whole day with half the money coming in for the day going towards the prize money being given out. I hope you can make it out.

On the Horizon: Quintin Co.

Over the course of the last year, Quintin has been becoming a very recognizable name in the BMX industry with the announcement of the team, plenty of new products, collaborations with different brands, web videos and even their own skatepark. I’ve been becoming more and more interested and finally ended up talking with Brett Wiley a little bit. We decided it would be a good idea to do one of our On the Horizon’s to give you guys a little more insight into the brand. Holy slacker mode. I’ve been wrapped up in working on so many things that I didn’t make time to post up on here. Don’t worry, I’ll be back on track soon. Just wrapping up the next issue of DIG and lining up all the stuff for the contest on the 29th. February will be awesome. Don’t worry.

Mark Potoczny is a rad dude. There’s plenty of good times that I’ve had because of him and his brother, and I’m sure a lot of other people can say the same. When I found out he was working on a signature frame from Deluxe, I hit up Mark to see if he would be into talking a little bit about the frame and the process for creating his first signature frame with Deluxe. It’s that time of the year again when I start getting the urge to get everyone off their ass and to meet up somewhere for a jam. I’m throwing a contest / jam at the new Bluff Valley Skatepark on Saturday, January 29th. Well, 2010 is over and 2011 is already underway. Starting the year off right with a fresh new interview for you. A week or so ago I was talking to Mark Noble about what has been going on with Deluxe these days and he mentioned that he was working on a new frame with Max. I’ll admit that I don’t know a lot about the scene in France, so I figured that it was a perfect excuse to ask Max some questions and find out more about him. It turns out Max had quite a bit to say and I did my best to clean up his english a little bit. Check out what he had to say, along with some real good photos and a few edits. BMX is awesome for the simple fact that it has done so much for my life. The last few years have given me a chance to experience so many things that I never thought I’d get to do growing up. The people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, the events I’ve experienced, and the lifestyle I’ve got to be apart of has definitely formed the person I am today. 2010 is only a few days away from being over, and another year that will be able to top this year will be starting. In the past 12 months, I’ve been snapping photos to remind me of all the fun and good times I’ve had along the way. I’ve selected something like 85 photos from a few thousand, and then linked to the rest of the photos from each trip between here, DIG, and my facebook albums with party photos.
