Last night we had the Anthem II premiere here in Minnesota. The turn out was pretty decent due to the reschedule and what not. I was psyched to see a bunch of people I haven’t seen in probably a year or so which was even better. The other day it was announced the Jeff DuPaul would be taking over the role of Team Manager for The Take. For those of you firmiliar with either of those names, you would realize they make a pretty good team. I’ve known Jeff for quite a while and I feel like the brand will be making some real big changes with his presence. Due to the massive snow shit Mother Nature took on Minnesota yesterday, the premiere got pushed back to December 18th! Next Saturday. Hope you can make it this time!
I’ve been thinking about organizing a premiere for Anthem II for quite a while now, and figured that since the copy I pre-ordered is here, I should get something put together. If you are around Minnesota on Saturday, December 18th you should make your way to Bluff Valley Skatepark in Zumbro Falls where we will be projecting it up on the wall for everyone to check out at 6 p.m. The skatepark will be open 2-10 and you can ride for $5 all day like usual. Alex Vazquez is a name that has been popping up more and more. You can probably remember him as the dude doing the crazy one-hand manuals, or mullet mohawk guy. Maybe you remember him as the newest recruit to the Sputnic team. Regardless, if you are reading this, you have probably heard of or saw something that he was involved in lately. Arnette sent over an early Christmas present that happened to include a pair of their new limited edition neon colorways for their Fire Drill shades. I’m pretty psyched on them, so I figured I’d make a quick post with a few photos of them incase you guys might be looking for some ideas for presents you want your parents to buy you. It’s not very often these days that a DVD is being called a “classic” before it’s even available. It’s already hard enough to make a video and have it still be current a week later it seems like. That was until the announcement that Anthem II was finally done, and would be releasing on December 1st. It just seems like every time a video gets hyped up, expectations get sent higher and higher, and then there’s this disappointment when the video doesn’t live up to the hype. There’s not doubt in my mind that you already heard the hype, and the expectations are way up there. There’s also a good chance you already ordered the video, but maybe you are one of the few “skeptics” that are still on the fence about it, so let’s talk about the video a little bit…

Pretty much everyday, I start my day out surfing through a good amount of videos, news, and what not to post on DIG. There’s a lot of names that are pretty frequent, and from time to time there’s a new name that can shred a bike that impresses me. I came across Jono’s Etnies welcome edit and one of the first things was him blasting a flair to the ceiling and then crashing to the flat bottom where he looked dead. Needless to say it got my attention, and as the edit continued on, I decided I’d see if he wanted to answer a few questions for my curiosity. Clearly, he was down and now you have this.
