I remember when 1664 first started really getting noticed as a parts brand years ago. After a few years it quickly became a a real strong distributor. It’s crazy to think the way BMX brands expand and can change up their priorities or direction so quickly. With that being said, I got to meet Craig and Bernie at Interbike this year. I was interested in what kind of an operation they were running up there in Canada and shot them some questions. Check out what 1664 is all about along with a few pictures…
Jeff Wescott Interview
I can’t think of the first time I came across something involving Jeff. I’m sure it was over a year or two ago from through an edit, but yeah. Basically, Jeff has been killing it lately on his bike, and been behind the lens for a lot of edits and videos popping up latley. Tony Malouf hit me up with an edit of his and asked when he would get an interview. I responded with “I’m on it” and now it’s done. Check out what Jeff has to say and then leave him some love in the comments!

Blog: Print Vs. Web “War”

It’s a slow saturday in BMX Blogging. My google reader was left with few options, and nothing that struck me as important. There is snow on the ground, and it’s cold. The very small local indoor charges $13 to ride a park on weekends, and I’m cheap. I decided it has been a while since I’ve done a “blog” post. I’m sure if you found my site, you were on the internet enough this week to catch the huge flair up about “Is print dying?” debate…

On the Horizon: Failure Bikes
I always laugh when I think about FailureFailure as a business name. Imagine going to a bank and explaining to them that you need a loan for your business that is named Failure, with a slogan of “Success is not an option”, they had to think Matt was crazy. Then again, that beard probably was all they needed to approve him to start his company. Either way, Failure has been around for a few years and I wanted to know a bit more. Check out what Matt had to say and then leave some love in the comments…

Daily Rotter

I’ve got an interview over on The Daily Rotter. If you are curious about me, what I do, why I do it, how much I love when people send me hate mail, and want to see some photos of me sucking up on my bike, hit that link!
Let’s Get Mystical Review

Letting my friend borrow Let’s Get Mystical while I was at Interbike was a bad idea. I got it back yesterday, finally. I threw together a review from it, but since I’m basically the last person to do it… I don’t quite know how many people will care to read it. If you are interested in what I think check it out on the Dig website. It’s fairly brief, but I think I get my point across.
Expect more updates soon! Oh, and if you want to see somebody interviewed just leave the name in the comments.
Kareem Williams Interview
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Kareem in Las Vegas during Interbike. I had been with Jake Seeley and Eric Lichtenberger hitting up penny slots and he was with us. Over the course of the few days I had been around him quite a bit. He is a real goofy dude, with a good attitude. However, I really didn’t get to know him all that well. I figured shooting him some questions might help fill in the blanks. Check out what Kareem has to say, then leave him some love in the comments!

E-Mail Update

Due to the incredible amount of spam email I’ve been receiving on my current account. (Were talking about 69 spam emails for every 1 real email. Multiply that by about 8-10 real emails a day…) I’ve been forced to make the change. I will be doing a mass email to everyone in my address book. I figure I don’t have everyones email that sends me videos and what not for posts on Dig‘s daily news and everything.
You can now reach me at KurtHohberger at Gmail.com (Didn’t want to link it for the sake of spybots or whatever that can take links and add them to mailing lists…). So please, feel free to send me links to videos, news, flyers, questions, or just emails to shoot the shit (I do enjoy those!).
You can also reach me on twitter – @KurtHohberger which I check a few times a day…
Sorry for the inconvenience. I figure this should at least save me 10-15 minutes a day making sure I don’t accidently mark an important email as a phishing scam (Sorry Ryan!). Thanks everyone!
