GT – Demarcus Paul Welcome Video

Ohhhhh snap! The other day Demarcus Paul‘s new Unclicked Podcast Interview dropped where he discussed leaving Volume Bikes, and mentioned he would be announcing his new sponsor, but wouldn’t say who it was. Obviously Demarcus is the type of rider that could fit on damn near every brand, so it was hard to guess just who it would be.

Well, it was announced that the already stacked GT Bicycles team has just become more stacked, because Demarcus is now doing it for GT! Check out his welcome video up top to bring the news, along with a few photos and words about the news down below!

Getting Deemo on GT was literally, meant to be, as Product Manager Ben Ward put it, “When I first came on board with GT I made a short list of riders I wanted on the team and DeMarcus was on that list. At the time he was starting to blow up and got his first signature line by the time GT was in a good place to reach out. Not wanting to disrupt what he had going on, we decided to hold off. Low and behold 5 years later the opportunity presented itself to talk to DeMarcus and we had Jeff Z reach out. The rest is now GT history.”

Pedal For Peace 2020 Jam

Check out this rad video from the Pedal For Peace jam that went down in Long Beach the other weekend! The event was organized by Linwood Monk and a ton of familiar faces turned out for the day to support the cause! Check out riding from Broc Raiford, Dylan Stark, Kevin Porter, Tom Villarreal, Tony Malouf, Jeff Wescott, Demarcus Paul and more! Hit play and take this all in!

That’s exactly what Long Beach local Linwood Monk did with Pedal For Peace. To say that Linwood (@bosshog) is outspoken about his beliefs is an understatement—and this past weekend he channeled that energy in a positive direction with Pedal For Peace. The ride began at Long Beach City Hall and ended at a jam with a box jump/hip setup at the beach parking lot below Bixby “Cherry” Park—where a Reggae band was coincidentally playing a mere ten feet away. In true Long Beach fashion, the event quickly turned into a melting pot of people from all walks of life getting together and having a good time. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but every effort helps us all in move the right direction, and Pedal for Peace did exactly that.” – Our BMX

Here’s a classic that we’re sure a bunch of people will be stoked to see on line! Andy Marshall uploaded the full “A Day Late And A Dollar Short” video from 2001 online for your viewing pleasure! This video which is a midwest, mid school classic is pure gold featuring Beau Campbell, Andy Marshall, Steven Hamilton, Frank Bertke, Jeff Meadows, Randy Polin, Mike Rausch, Caleb Aumen, Eric Ford, Cody Cleary, Glen Strennor, Shane Neeley and Ian Schwartz. This is the video that really put Steven and Ian on the map that lead to their Pro careers. This has a ton of dialed park and and street riding, with a bunch of laughs and good times mixed in for good measure.

It’s pretty wild to think this video is damn near 20 years old already. Either way, hit play and take it all in!
