Vans Canada In Toronto

October 18, 2019

The Vans Canada team recently spent some time in the massive city of Toronto spending a few days exploring the endless street spos that the city has to offer. Toronto is one of those places that, as a BMX rider, you could explore day in and day out, and always find something new and unique to ride. It’s safe to say during this trip, Dillon Lloyd, Chijioke Okafo, Justin Hughes, Mike Gray and Kurt Ebenreth had no trouble stacking clips for this new BMX video! Check out a ton of great riding, rad spots and clean film work by Calvin Kosovich

“The Vans Canada Team embarks on an adventure on home turf uniting Dillon Lloyd (WTP/ECLAT), Chijioke Okafo (KINK), Justin Hughes (WTP), Mike Gray (HARO/PREMIUM) and Kurt Ebenreth on their first adventure as the official Vans Canadian team. Great to see Vans Canada backing BMX with an official BMX program, sending this dialed and eclectic crew on a journey to shut down some of Toronto’s local gems.

In this interview we discuss more current events in Morgan’s life but we do delve into some old video parts and contests that he’s stood out in. This was a fun interview to do. Enjoy!” – Chris Doyle

Street Mystics – Omote & Ura Remix

October 18, 2019

The Metal Pegs crew kicking your weekend off right with a remix of their “Omote & Ura” DVD for your viewing pleasure. This video was filmed over the course of the past two years and features a ton of the U.K’s finest getting down on street spots galore with some classic U.K style street riding. This is a real good watch from start to finish, so get on that play button because you will be glad you gave this one a watch.

“Remix of Omote & Ura DVD

Featuring some of the Street Mystics riding from the last two years in the UK. Omote and Ura loosely translates as the ‘seen’ and the ‘hidden’, ‘front’ and ‘back’, ‘outside’ and ‘inside’, and, we think, helps indicate some of the more explicit, obvious as well as overlooked or forgotten aspects of riding. Pretence aside, hope you enjoy the video!

Volume Bikes 20th Anniversary Dinosaur Frame BMX

Now this is a serious Flashback Friday. Volume Bikes just announced that they will be re-releasing their old Dinosaur frame as a part of their 20th anniversary! This brings me waaay back to when I was first getting into BMX and remember seeing one of the locals at the trails rolling around on one of the original Volume Dinosaur frames when it first came out way back in 2001. Fast forward all these years and Volume will be re-releasing the Brian Castillo signature frame with modern materials and geometry (along with a weight that won’t throw your back out!) that fits with 2020 style BMX frames. Check out full details on the frame below, along with geometry, specs and photos! Available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Volume Bikes worldwide now like Source BMX!

“For Volume’s 20th anniversary we wanted to bring back a classic frame. Brian Castillo’s signature Dinosaur! This frame originally came out in 2001! Brian knew what he wanted back then, with it only being available in a 20.5” top tube (Exactly as he rode it himself) and dropouts borrowed from a previous years Volume frame. Even today, Brian’s influence on bmx still shows in riders around the world, whether they know it or not.
