Product: Volume Bikes – Limited Edition Mint Bermuda Frame

We have started to see mint popping up as a popular color again lately and it’s no surprise as to why… It looks great. Volume Bikes just released this very limited edition run of a Mint Chip colorway on their Bermuda frame. This has purple and black splatter all throughout making for a rad look. They have only produced 20 of these frames in 21″ and 20.75″ top tube lengths, so if you’re trying to get one… Tell your local BMX shop or favorite mail-order to get you one ordered up as soon as possible. Product: Colony – 2016 Monash Frame

Time for a new frame? Have you seen the new Colony Monash frame that was just released? The Monash is Colony’s brand new team frame that starts out with full 4130 chromoly tubing, a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 70-degree seat tube angle, 11.5″ bottom bracket height, 9″ stand over height and 13.1″ chain stay length (slammed). The Monash features a heat-treated Hourglass head tube with gussets on the top and down tubes, dent resistant straight gauge top and down tubes, a heat-treated MID bottom bracket, removable seat post clamp, tapered seat and chain stays that are wider apart to fit 2.4″ tires, heat-treated 5mm thick CNC machined drop outs and removable brake mounts using Colony’s Investment Cast removable mounts.

Sneak Peek: Fiend – Palmere V2 Frame

Fiend released a little sneak peek of the graphics that will be found on the 2nd version of JJ Palmere‘s signature frame that is due out soon! Based off what we’re seeing, he’s going with a Willy Wonka themed layout that looks pretty wild. Expect more info and a better look at the entire BMX frame closer to its release!

Sneak Peek: Wethepeople – 18″ Envy

Here’s a sneak peek we spotted floating around on Facebook this morning courtesy of our good friend Dave Paterson. Here is a sneak preview of the 18″ Envy frame and fork that Wethepeople have been working on for their 2016 line. No details as far as specs go, but it sounds like it’s just a scaled down version of the 20″ Envy frame, so the top tube, seat tube and chain stays will be shorter, but we would imagine it will be the same geometry wise. The fork should also feature the same features, just shorter legs to accommodate the 18″ wheels. Expect more details closer to its release!

It’s good to see so many brands putting focus on 16″ and 18″ complete bikes and aftermarket frames and parts. There are more and more kids getting into BMX at an earlier age and it’s been incredible watching the level of progress that has come with the proper bikes for the job. We’re sure this is just a taste of what we will be seeing in the 18″ department this year.
