Product: Volume Bikes – Demarcus Paul War Horse Line
Did you know that Demarcus Paul‘s signature War Horse range from Volume Bikes has arrived? We figured since it’s just starting to hit BMX shops and mail-orders it would be a good idea to take a closer look at the frame, bars, pegs and seat that are all apart of the full line. Ready? Let’s do this!

The War Horse frame is made from 4130 heat-treated chromoly with a 75.25-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.7″ bottom bracket height, 9.25″ seat tube height and 13″ – 13.5″ chainstay length. The frame features an hour glass head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, butted top and down tubes, a butted seat tube, extra wide Mid bottom bracket, an integrated seat post clamp, tapered seat stays, S-Bend chainstays to allow plenty of clearance for 2.40″ tires, removable brake mounts and 7mm thick Investment Cast dropouts with integrated chain tensioners.
The War Horse frame is available in 20.75″ and 21″ top tube lengths, matte Rust and clear coat raw for colors, a weight of 5 lbs. 2 oz. (20.75″) and a price tag of $329.99!
WAR HORSE BARS
Can’t go wrong with a matching kit. The War Horse bars are made from 11-butted heat-treated 4130 chromoly tubing with a 9″ rise, 29″ width, 10-degrees of backsweep, 1-degree of upsweep, a crossbar height of 6.6″ and a crossbar width of 11.3″.
The War Horse bars are available in matte Rust, chrome and black with a weight of 33.5 oz. and a price tag of $67.99 – $73.99 dependent on color.
WAR HORSE SEAT
The next piece to the War Horse kit is the seat. This seat uses the Fat Capital design with plenty of padding, a 3-piece canvas style material with a camouflage print, embroidered War Horse top patch and woven label. This seat is available in Pivotal and Tripod versions. The Pivotal version weighs in at 11.8 oz. and the Tripod version weighs in at 10 oz. even.
You can pick the seat up for $33.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Volume Bikes worldwide.
Demarcus Peg
The final piece in the War Horse line, (minus the War Horse name) is the Demarcus peg. These plastic pegs are made with 6061 aluminum core with a plastic sleeve. The peg has a 4.5″ length, comes in black and features a small Volume logo.
The Pegs are made for 14mm with a 3/8″ adaptor included with every peg. The pegs are available for $20.99 with two plastic sleeves included (1 replacement) and then you can get replacement sleeves for $6.99 after you grind through those.
That wraps up the new Demarcus Paul signature range of products that Volume Bikes have just released. Each of these items are available now through Volume Bikes dealers worldwide and online. You can learn more about Volume Bikes by visiting their website — VolumeBikes.com

Sneak Peek: Profile Racing – Tripod Seat
It looks like Profile Racing are working on a new Tripod seat for their line up. We spotted this seat in the new Cory Foust Bike Check they dropped this morning. There wasn’t anything listed on the Profile Racing website yet, but based off the photo it’s safe to say that James Covington at Native Bikes was who made the seat. It appears to feature a fat style padding, full leather cover, with a Profile Racing patch with rivets holding it in place.
We would imagine this seat will be hitting BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Profile Racing worldwide sooner than later. Expect more details once it’s released or available.
Sneak Peek: GT Bicycles – Brian Kachinsky Signature Seat
If you haven’t noticed that GT Bicycles have been working on a TON of new products since Ben Ward took over the BMX program last year, then you’re blowing it. They have been keeping things pretty quiet, but we’ve seen a few things pop up here and there. For example, we just spotted this sneak preview of the Brian Kachinsky signature Pivotal seat that’s in the works. Do you know what that design is? That’s the map of the train lines that run through Chicago embossed into the seat. Pretty rad idea. Expect to see more sooner than later.
Sneak Peek: Shadow Conspiracy – Mark Burnett Signature Tripod Seat
Here’s a sneak peek look at the Mark Burnett signature Tripod seat that The Shadow Conspiracy are working on currently. No word on the release date other than later this year. This seat features a pretty unique aztec style theme that we’re sure a bunch of you are digging. Expect more details closer to its release.
