Is it time for a new BMX Sprocket? You’re in luck because The Shadow Conspiracy have released the new Joris Coulomb signature Maya Sprocket for you to dial your bike in with. The Maya Sprocket is CNC machined from 5mm thick 7075-T6 alloy with a ton of machining to create the “Flower of Life” design that has overlapping circles to create one unique looking sprocket. The sprocket has a 15/16″ bore making this BMX sprocket compatible with 24mm, 22mm and 19mm spindles (22mm and 19mm adaptors included) with 1/8″ flat design teeth to give you proper alignment.

Wethepeople BMX – Felix Prangenberg Signature Pathfinder Line

The crew at Wethepeople sent over full details on the new Felix Prangenberg signature Pathfinder frame, bars and fork for you guys to check out. Starting things off, let’s get a look at the Pathfinder frame!

Pathfinder Frame

The Felix Prangenberg signature Pathfinder frame is made from butted, seamless Japanese 4130 chromoly tubing with a 76-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.7″ bottom bracket height and a 12.95″ – 13.5″ chainstay length. The frame features a taller 127mm, CNC machined and heat-treated integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, an offset thickness Mid bottom bracket shell, integrated seat post clamp, a wide rear triangle with curved stays and bridges for 2.5″ tire clearance, extruded offset thickness and dent resistant chainstays and 6mm thick, CNC machined dropouts. The Pathfinder frame is a brakeless frame and has NO BRAKE MOUNTS.

The Pathfinder frame is available in 20.75″ and 21″ top tube lengths, colors of glossy black ED and translucent Rootbeer with a weight of 5.2 lbs. (2.36 KG / 21″ top tube length) and can be picked up through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Wethepeople BMX worldwide starting now.

Pathfinder Bars

Next up we have the Felix Prangenberg signature Pathfinder bars. These 4-piece bars are made from full liquid post-weld heat-treated 4130 “M2″ chromoly straight gauge tubing. The bars are available in a 9″ and a 9.6″ rise, 29″ width, 11.5” degrees of backsweep and 3-degrees of upsweep. The bars feature an oval cross tube for additional dent resistance and added strength. You can also pick these up in a 25.4mm Oversized size and the standard 22.2mm size. Note: The oversized size requires a stem in the matching size.

The Pathfinder 4-piece bars come in Glossy Black ED only with a weight of 38.8 oz. (2.39 lbs. / 1084 grams) on the 9.6″ rise, 22.2mm size.

Not only do the bars come in 9″ and 9.6″ rise options, they also come in the standard 22.2mm size or an oversized 25.4mm size in the clamping area. The 25.4mm requires a matching sized stem to fit. You can learn more about the 25.4mm size RIGHT HERE.

Pathfinder Sprocket

Last but not least, the Pathfinder Sprocket! This sprocket is fully CNC Machined from 6061-T6 alloy with a unique design pattern and an 8mm thickness. This sprocket features a super strong design that has 9 rotation points for a longer life and sunken adaptors that help with chain alignment. The Pathfinder sprocket has a 24mm bore, but includes 19mm and 22mm adaptors to fit all bolt-on style cranks. You can pick this sprocket up in Matte Black or Polished silver in 25-tooth, 26-tooth and 28-tooth sizes with a weight a 3.66 oz. (104 grams) through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Wethepeople BMX worlwide now.

Insight: Frelo Bikes Guard Sprocket

Take a closer look at the Guard Sprocket from the Frelo Bikes crew down in Florida!

It’s always rad finding out about a new brand getting the wheels turning. The other day we were tipped off about a new brand coming out of Florida that is just getting its start called Frelo Bikes. They are a group of riders that are focused on creating strong, American made products that can hold up to whatever you throw at it while out riding. They have just released their new Frelo Guard Sprocket that is designed with a unique look and built to last.

The Frelo Guard Sprocket is CNC Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with inward tapered front with 3 cut outs for weight savings and the ability to rotate the sprocket to extend the life of the sprocket, and Frelo hatchet and Font logos machined around the edge. On the back, you can find even more machining using a four-tiered design that helps reduce the overall weight without sacrificing strength. The Teeth have a wider clearance to ensure compatibility with half-link chains like the Shadow Interlock Supreme that can have issues fitting with some sprockets.

The Frelo Full Guard Sprocket is currently available in Black and 25-tooth, but they are working on adding a 28-tooth version very soon. You can pick up the sprocket for $65.00 direct from the Frelo Bikes website. The sprockets fit 24mm with 22mm and 19mm adaptors included.

Since the brand is newer, they are looking for shops and distributors that are interested as well, so if you are one of those, you should get ahold of them to get things rolling.

Here’s a look at the backside of the sprocket which features a four-tiered machining design to help reduce the overall weight without sacrificing quality. It also gives the sprocket a really badass look.

Brotherhood – 804 Guard Sprocket

Let’s take a look at the 804 Guard Sprocket from the Brotherhood crew over in Russia…

We were just looking at the old Oyster 2-piece sprocket that Brotherhood put out a few years ago and it got us thinking that it has been a little while since we’ve taken a look at what they have going on these days. We popped over to their website and were pleasantly surprised to see their new 804 Guard Sprocket that continues their reputation of unique and well designed BMX products. The 804 Guard Sprocket is 3D CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a 5 spoke design that looks great. The sprocket has a 15/16″ (24mm bore), so it’s compatible with 24mm, 22mm and 19mm spindle sizes (adaptors included). The only downside is that there is only one bolt hole so you really can only wear down one side of the sprocket unless you’re switching from right to left side drive completely.

The 804 Guard Sprocket comes in 25-tooth only with Silver Satin or Deep Black color options and comes with a reasonable $57.00 price tag. Available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Brotherhood worldwide now.
