X Games “Real BMX” 2017 Riders and Filmers Announced

It’s that time of the year again! X Games have just announced the 6 riders that will be filming a video part for the “Real BMX” contest! Like last year, each rider will be working with one filmer to create their best video part possible. After that there will be a fan vote, and then judges that will pick the winners.

The “Real BMX” riders for 2017 will be.

1. Alex Donnachie

2. Chad Kerley

3. Demarcus Paul

4. Nathan Williams

5. Colt Fake

6. Dave Krone

We were surprised to see Colt Fake’s name pop up again for this since he had a Real BMX section last year. We are assuming he got picked to do another video because he won the Fan Vote. Regardless, we’re stoked to see what he cooks up again.

Each rider has officially announced who they will be filming with as well…

As soon as we saw Alex Donnachie will be filming a part, we knew there was no way he would be going with anyone beside BSD‘s filmer, Dave Sowerby. Sure enough, that was his pick and we’re bound to see something amazing out of those two.

We knew as soon as we saw Chad Kerley on the list that he will be working with Christian Rigal for his section. That’s one hell of a duo that always yields amazing results.

Beyond thankful and unbelievably stoked that @mikemastroni and I will be part of the @xgames #realbmx contest this year! The videos will air on ABC this June!

We’re weren’t shocked to see that Demarcus Paul will be working with Volume Bikes filmer Mike Mastroni for his section. They’ve been filming together for a few years now and it makes for a super good team.

So stoked and grateful to get invited to film a part for @xgames #RealBmx with @peteradam this year! It's going to be a fun next couple weeks!

We weren’t quite sure if Nathan Williams would go with his go to guy, Will Stroud, for his section, but it looks like he’s going to use United‘s go to filmer, Peter Adam for his video. That’s another super dialed pick for a filmer. Peter has been producing some phenomenal videos for a while now, so they should end up with a banger of a video.

Colt Fake has announced on Instagram that he will be working with Darryl Tocco again. That’s one hell of a combination that we know will produce good results.

Dave Krone will be working with Ryan Navazio for the contest. You already know with Ryan handling the film work things will be looking top notch.

FloriDeah – Jetski Slip N’ Slide

This has nothing to do with riding, but Trey Jones, Jabe Jones, Colt Fake and Alex Lomelli decided to set up a crazy kicker ramp at the end of a slip and slide and tow each other off the ramp with a jetski! This is as crazy as it might sound, but would you expect anything less from this crew? It is hilarious and looks like a super good time! Check out how it all went down! It looks like nobody got hurt and it was a full day of good times to us!

Bone Deth – “The Dirty Sniff” Trailer

It has been a little while since we’ve seen something from the Bone Deth crew, but now we know why! They have been quietly working on a new full-length video that will be dropping next month! Based off the trailer, “The Dirty Sniff” will be filled with crazy riding, a lot of weirdos and crazies, babes, the opposite of babes, green goo and hilarious sound effects. So, in short… It should be another NORA Cup winner. Oh, and probably too late by now, but this one is probably NSFW…

Real BMX 2016: Full “World of X” Episode

Just incase you missed this when it was on TV, X Games uploaded the full “Real BMX” episode from their “World of X” series. This has Dennis Enarson, Garrett Reynolds, Devon Smillie, Van Homan and Colt Fake‘s sections, along with the behind the scenes with input from the riders and filmers and insight from Brian Kachinsky, Tony Hamlin, Jeff Z. and Mike Escamilla. Colt Fake Wins X Games “Real BMX” Fan Vote

September 26, 2016

The votes are in! Garrett Reynolds might have won the X Games “Real BMX” contest that was judged by Brian Kachinsky, Jeff Z., Mike Escamilla and Tony Hamlin, but the readers have chosen Colt Fake as the winner of the Fan vote with 31.17% of the vote! Garrett Reynolds came in second with 22.87% of the vote and Dakota Roche with 14.88% of the vote.

Colt Fake – Real BMX Section

If there’s one guy that is completely unpredictable and ready to send it on the gnarliest of setups, it’s Colt Fake. Check out his X Games “Real BMX” video part!

Although Colt Fake and Darryl Tocco don’t have as strong or long standing of a rider and filmer relationship than the other teams for “Real BMX”, it’s safe to say they had no problem synching up and getting on the same page for their X Games “Real BMX” part! Hit play to watch Colt take his insane riding to spots with Darryl’s super clean film work!
