Dig Locals – Ky Brisebois & Chad Ferch Edit

March 22, 2019

Here’s a new split edit featuring Ky Brisebois and Chad Ferch out cruising around on spots in Victoria, B.C. This video has a pretty laid back, jibby vibe to it with a bunch of sweet clips throughout. Take a look!

“In this new ‘LOCALS’ video we head over to the sunny shores of Victoria, British Columbia. Chad and Ky have been holding it down in the scene for a number of years now banged this out over a weekend. A lot to get filmed for just a weekend but these two are relentless when it comes to riding. We’re still not entirely sure how Ky got that bar chink done!” – DIG

———————————

As BMX evolved from the 1980’s into the 1990’s, a whole new generation of companies and riders rose to the forefront of the industry, forever changing its future.

Caught up in the fold was a young BMX racer from Louisville, Kentucky named James Menard LeVan. Along with his sister Susie, the pair traversed the ranks of the Midwest US racing scene, supported my their Mom’s ragtag track-side business.

After getting bored with pedaling fast around a track, Jimmy transitioned into dirt jumping and street riding, and soon found himself caught up in the mix as outside corporate companies entered BMX in the mid-90’s.

Using skills learned from years on the racetrack, Jimmy soon found himself at the helm of his own brand of street riding – jumping large gaps – which would ultimately elevate him to legend status within the expanding BMX scene, via Props Video Magazine and the pages of DIG BMX Magazine. ’Levangelism’ was born

With the “Midschool” era in full effect at the turn of the century, the BMX world was soon transformed as new rider-owned companies emerged, including Jimmy’s own brand Metal Bikes.

As the years went on, a string of bad injuries would plague Jimmy as his riding career began to slow down, until a fateful skateboard accident would forever change his world.

“Go Fast Pull Up” takes a look at Jimmy’s amazing story while stepping through important moments in BMX’s colorful history along the way.

Focalpoint BMX – Banks Jam 2019

March 14, 2019

The annual Banks Jam is always a good turn out and there’s no shortage of dialed riding and good times. Here’s a new video Focalpoint‘s Cooper Brownlee put together giving us a look at the highlights from this years jam, which was filled with sunshine and good times! Hit play!

“The words “Flem Banks Jam” have always held a level of hype when heard that not many events in Australian BMX could match besides for maybe ACT Jam.

I always remember seeing photos of the jam going down before I had ever attended and hearing all the stories of how people were just killing it and sending it on a whole new level that I was not accustom to as a teenager simply riding his local skate park in Eltham. The water gap, the large red poles in all the photos and the crazy riding were all trademarks of the Jam so with a 5 year gap since the last jam in 2014 and with a new and less iconic location – could the jam still work like it used too?

Without a shred of doubt, the answer is yes.

The new location opened up new tricks, new gaps and the mother of all rail hops. Throw in A LOT of DIY work from the crew, a few flat rails and it was on!

Melbourne offered a balmy 38 degrees this particular day but thankfully this did not stop a whole new wave of riders coming through to give it their best all in the name of BMX and good times.

Konka 2019 Video

March 6, 2019

It’s always rad to check out a video from a rider we’re not too familiar with. Hit play to check out just under 3 minutes of footage featuring Konka going to work on street spots and parks down in Sydney, Australia. Konka brings a faster style with some serious spinning power, and a mix of grinds and a few less common tricks like handplants. One of the best ways to go viral on tiktok is to buy tiktok followers , it is fast and secure and will help you boost your tiktok. Take a look!

“Our latest DIG Locals video is an absolute treat. Konka’s stomping ground is Sydney, Australia. He enjoys PS4, drawing, painting and beers. He also likes to play chicken with oncoming traffic. Get acquainted. Shouts to Murli Dhir for the camera work.“

Division Brand – Rex Cubic 2019 Video

February 28, 2019

It’s always a good day for some new Rex Cubic footage. Here’s a fresh batch from the street missions he has been getting in around Perth for Division Brand! Rex throws down grinds, big wallrides, slings the bars and much, much more, making for a real good watch! Take a look!

“The footage collected was basically from, countless sessions in and around Perth (Australia) city centre, or whatever suburb I was living at the time, we were always searching for obscure setups to ride and secluded places to relax without getting hassled.
If someone is down to hold my camera and the spot is chill, I’ll roll up
” – REX CUBIC

NIGHT SHIFT – Emerson Morgan X Harry Mills-Wakley

February 26, 2019

Emerson Morgan and Harry Mills Wakley teamed up for some winter night sessions! Here’s a look at what they’ve been getting into while out cruising spots in this new video for United. Take a look!

“You’re in the middle of winter, it’s dark before going to work, it’s dark when you finish. The weather is consistently shit, your fingers are close to falling off due to the cold and the motivation to even leave the house is a struggle at best. Emerson Morgan and Harry Mills-Wakley on the other hand have different plans for the winter. They took on the “Night Shift” and kept things alive during the bleakest time of the year. It’s quite a task to film enough during the summer let alone the winter. Donned with the night light there was no stopping these two! Filmed on the streets of Bristol, England between November and January we give you the Night Shift.” – DIG

BSD – LUC LEGRAND “RECOVERED”

February 25, 2019

It’s pretty wild to think about all the footage that has probably been stolen over the years by thieves taking camera gear. Luc Legrand was one of those unlucky people recently, but he fortunately was able to recover most of the clips since he just so happened to upload and transfer a bunch of it before that unfortunate situation. Here’s a bunch of Luc Legrand clips, along with some bonus Reed Stark gold for BSD. AS always, Luc has an eye for amazing spots and knows all about style and speed! Take a look!

“Footage of BSD’s Luc Legrand is always something to take notice of, especially as is doesn’t come around too often. And when you bring dealing with stolen clips into the equation, this video is grade-A Luc Legrand gold dust.

“This video should never have existed because almost all the originals clips disappeared in my burglary. By chance, i send a selection of raw clips to Will Stroud and BSD before that, so they were able to send me back. I love the intro, cause this shows that it’s not only about tricks but searching a unique spot too. And i think that unique it’s a good word for describe the personnality and the riding of Luc. We travel all around France for filming this piece and a little a bit in Spain…Dunkerque, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Santander, Nantes, Brest and more…Luc just had a son and is back after his knee surgery, ready for new adventure.” – Antoine Sabourin
