Our friends at Freedom BMX over in Germany have had another super productive year with a ton of amazing videos from virtually every contest and jam that went down over there over the course of the year, plus a few bigger contests like Simple Session, the Battle of Hastings and more. They decided to go through their footage and compile the best of the best and pack it into one banger of a BMX video. There’s no doubt that the BMX scene in Germany is strong and this is a clear indicator of that! Hit play and take in all this amazing riding.

If you Subscribe to Freedom BMX on Youtube, you might have noticed they have been uploading a bunch of their older videos to their Youtube channel. This morning we woke up to this Tobias Wicke video from 2012 that was too good not to give a repost. We haven’t seen much from Tobias this past year or so, but it’s safe to say he’s probably still absolutely DESTROYING everything he comes across from his super technical lip tricks to bombing down big rails and more. Either way, this is a great watch, so hit play and enjoy!

There’s always something fun going on over in Germany these days. Here’s a look at some of the action that went down during the Wethepeople Autumn Session at the Skatehall Trier park.

The guys at Freedom BMX have gone back and re-uploaded an old Game of HORST (Essentially a Game of BIKE) they did back in 2014 with Bruno Hoffmann and Carlo Hoffmann. Even though this is two years old, it’s still really good and a fun watch. Take a look! It would be pretty crazy to see these two go at another game of BIKE now, with how much Carlo has progressed.

The Shadow Conspiracy and Subrosa have been busy bouncing around on their 2016 World Tour. They recently spent some time over in Germany cruising street spots, skateparks and hitting up shops along the way! Here’s a video the crew at Freedom BMX put together from their time over there! Plenty of damn good riding to take in!
“At the beginning of September, Simone Barraco, Mark Burnett, Matt Ray and Joris Coulomb passed through the Shadow X Subrosa World Tour 2016 in Germany. In addition to stippvisites at artform, Deepend, Bikers Base and the People’s Store, there were also sessions with the locals, where the guys were energetically supported by their German team colleagues Tom Schorb-Mergenthaler and Janek Wentzky. What was going on in Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hanover and Cologne is revealed by our video.

Here’s some news we never like to hear about. The guys over at Freedom BMX let us know that Germany lost a talented BMX rider to cancer. Here’s a little video they put together as a tribute to David Bombosch who unfortunately lost his battle the other day. Such a bummer.
“From Hildesheim today reach us sad news! David Bombosch yesterday died from cancer. We wish his family and friends in this difficult time, a lot of power!
In winter 2011, we have David in his hometown Hildesheim visit to a “Hello My Name Is” feature for Issue 105, and a “One Dude One Day” -Edit (see above) to produce. Back then, we know him as a fun-loving people and great BMX riders. David was at that time also such a thing as the linchpin of Hildesheim scene and jams and contests throughout Germany a welcome guest. We will miss his smile!
The funeral will take place on October 5, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the cemetery in Hildesheim Drispenstedt.
Ride in peace, David!
