The Workshop – Joe Lee and His Gold Plated 1988 Haro Master

One thing you might not know is that BMX has been developing a huge crowd of Old School collectors that have some super dialed bikes from back in the day that they have restored. Here’s an example of one collector who restored a Haro Master from 1988 and then gave it the proper gold plating treatment to really make it shine. It will be interesting to see how much the old school collector side of BMX grows in the future, we have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of really cool bikes continuing to pop up.

Interbike 2016 – Haro and Premium

Going over to Haro and Premium‘s booth at Interbike 2016, we were particularly excited to see something that we had been seeing some sneak peeks of recently, but weren’t sure exactly how good they would look. That would be the new Master and Sport Freestyler’s that take the retro look and mix it with current quality. Below you can get a look at both bikes!

The 2017 Haro Master is absolutely spot on with the look of the bike, mixing in a few modern touches. What is awesome is seeing the modernized version of things like the tires and hubs that are remakes of classics from the 80’s… Well, on top of most things on this bike, haha.

The Haro Sport, similar to the Master minus a few features, turned out absolutely phenomenal as well. Both of these bikes had us drooling and instantly wanting them for the collection. Big shout out to Haro and John Buultjens‘s for cooking up these badass bikes!

Sneak Peek – Haro – HPF Tire

Over the course of the past few years, we’ve been seeing a lot of old school products being brought back to life between a number of brands like GT Bicycles and Haro. If you have been following Haro, it has been pretty rad seeing what John Buultjens has been making happen since he took the reigns. We’ve seen a number of retro inspired products surface over the past two or so years, and it looks like John isn’t done yet. We just spotted this sneak peek of the modern HPF tire next to an older HPF tire that we’re assuming is from the 80’s. No details on the tire yet, but we would imagine it will have the same tread pattern with a more modern size, appears to be a 2.20″ in the photo, but we could be wrong. We did receive a comment on Facebook saying that the tires will be available in 2.00″ and 2.20″ sizes after we posted this. So, if you are into the old school side of BMX, get excited. These have been two years in the making and we would imagine it won’t be long before you can pick these up through Haro dealers worldwide.

Haro Bikes – Matthias Dandois 2016 Video

Haro Bikes coming through with an awesome new video featuring Matthias Dandois laying down some pure flatland and street hybrid gold. This video was filmed between Paris and San Diego, making for some excellent locations, and Christian Rigal was behind the filming and editing! This is an absolute must see, even if you don’t ride flatland because this has a good mix of street into it… Matthias doesn’t disappoint! Enjoy!

Haro Russia – Alexey Frolov Video

There’s always something rad going on over in Russia. Here’s one that popped up from Haro‘s connect over there, Alexey Frolov, getting down at his local plaza park. This kid is a barspin and tailwhip machine, cooking up some dialed combos on rails and over them, off ledges and more. Real solid and we’re sure this isn’t the last time we’ll see Alexey’s name popping up! Check it!

Haro – Mike Gray 2016 Video

Haro coming through with a fresh BMX video featuring Mike Gray slaying spots down in Southern California! Mike puts his pegs and freecoaster to heavy use for this one and it’s safe to say no rail, rooftop or massive gap was safe when Mike rolled through! Hit play because this is 5 minutes of pure MUST SEE gold!

Haro – Chad Kerley at Vans BMX Street Invitational

There’s a ton of footage popping up from the Vans BMX Street Invitational that went down last weekend! Here’s a look at all the crazy riding that Chad Kerley threw down during his runs at the contest courtesy of Haro! Chad cooked up some insane combos during his time on the course. This will blow your mind!

Sneak Peek: Haro – Tyler Fernengel Signature Frame

It looks like Chad Kerley isn’t the only one getting a signature frame from Haro! Here’s a look at Tyler Fernengel‘s current setup with a prototype of his first, very well deserved signature frame from Haro!

There isn’t word on the name of the frame, but Tyler did release a few details. The frame will be made from 4130 chromoly with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9″ standover height, 11.5″ bottom bracket height and 13.5″ chainstay length. It will feature a hydro formed top tube and down tube and investment cast dropouts with built in chain tensioners. It also appears, based off the photo, to have a hour glass head tube, an integrated seat post clamp and externally butted down tube. Overall, it looks like it’s going to be a real clean frame.

The frame will be available in 20.8″ and 21″ top tube lengths as well.

If you’re hoping to get your hands on this frame, you will have to wait a few months because it sounds like it won’t be available until closer to Christmas time in December. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more!
