Product: Kink – Hulk Bars

Yesterday when we were looking around at different bars for our Raise The Bar feature, we noticed that Kink have a new set of BMX bars out for you big bar lovers. The Hulk bars are made from 13-butted 4130 chromoly with a TruTherm post-weld heat-treatment. They come with a big rise of 10″, width of 30″, 12-degrees of backsweep and 1-degree of upsweep.

The Hulk bars come in colors of ED black and chrome with a weight of 29.2 oz. with a price tag of around $64.99 – $74.99 depending on color through BMX shops and mail-orders now.

Product: Kink – Viridian II Hub

Is it time for a new front BMX Hub? Has your old one finally called it quits after plenty of abuse? Maybe it’s a good time to take a closer look at the Kink Viridian II front hub. This hub starts out with a fully CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminum shell with an extra wide flange offset and 36 spoke holes. Inside you can find two precision sealed bearings and a hollow 15mm 7075-T6 aluminum female axle that uses the Floating Axle System with a 7075 bearing spacer. Everything is kept tight with two 7075-T6 bearing cone washers (1 fixed and 1 removable) and 17mm socket and 8mm allen key chromoly bolts.

The Viridian II hub is available in colors of black, blue, bronze, Battleship grey and Crimson red with a weight of 6.9 oz. through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Kink Bike Co. worldwide now.

Product: Kink – Foundation II Fork

Is it time for a new BMX Fork? Well, here’s a look at Kink‘s Foundation II fork that might just be what you need. This fork is made from 4130 chromoly with a 100% TrueTherm heat-treatment with a 165mm long one-piece steerer tube with an integrated headset race, tapered legs with internal butting and Investment Cast fork ends with 26mm or 32mm offset 4mm Thick laser Cut and CNC machined 3/8″ drop outs. The Foundation II fork comes with a M24 compression cap that accepts 3/8″ ratchet or a 6mm allen key to keep everything tight.

Ryan Sher – Long Story Short

DIG released their latest “Long Story Short” featuring Ryan Sher who talks about how he got into BMX, bouncing around, riding for Kink and then becoming brand manager of Subrosa and his roles. Take a peek!

“Since around the turn of the millennium Ryan Sher was a regular and welcome fixture of seemingly all BMX media coverage. Wether it was from early Kink Trips, Props Megatours, various magazine covers (everyones remembers his Ride US coverage of the curved wall-ride right?) or endless shots on our own pages of DIG dating back to his first UK visits at the old Bike Shows and Backyard Jams, and leading onto his first Euro trips with his then new company, Subrosa. Then, after 10 years of so it felt like the coverage just stopped almost overnight as Ryan took a major step back from being a Pro rider to concentrate as his new found BMX industry duties.

For episode 2 of our DIG ‘Long Story Short’ Series we caught up with Ryan to learn a little more about his early history within BMX, the story behind ‘that’ wall-ride and why he made the switch from full-time rider to full time brand manager. Enjoy.
