Quicky: Jack at DUB BMX

Over the past year, I think it’s pretty clear that things have been pretty hectic for the DUB crew. Between the “Homegrown” DVD being released, traveling the world working with Monster on The Street Series stops that went down in Capetown, Barcelona, Berlin, Tokyo and New York, the closing of The Loot and a bunch of new clothing designs and a collaboration frame all dropping, I think hectic is a good word for it. We figured it was a good time to get ahold of Jack now that he has a little down time to find out more about everything him and the crew have been getting into lately! Let’s see what he had to say!

Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – Trueno X Etnies Frame Colorway

Fly Bikes dropped the next sneak peek of their 2015 line for us to check out! This time around it’s the Burnt Orange collaboration color they’re doing with Etnies on the Sergio Layos signature Trueno frame! Get the full details below!

“Here’s a preview of one of the two new color options for Sergio Layos’ 2015 frame! We have teamed up with Sergio and his shoe sponsor, Etnies, for this new Trueno X Etnies Burnt Orange colorway with special graphics that will be available later this year.

The 2015 Trueno frame is made from seamless 4130 chromoly with a 20.6” top tube length, 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 8.5” stand over height, 11.75” bottom bracket height and a 13.40” chain stay length. The Trueno frame features an offset thickness head tube, integrated internal gussets for increased strength, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted seat tube, a 4130 chromoly Investment cast seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System for improved clamping, Investment Cast bridges on the seat and chain stays, Easy Brake System removable brake mounts and Investment cast dropouts with removable chain tensioners.

The 2015 Trueno X Etnies frame will be available later this year through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide!”

The previews of Fly Bikes 2015 line keep coming in and it just keeps getting better! Here’s a look at the Montaña X Fiat colorway that they will be dropping later this year! Full details below!

“Next up for our 2015 preview is something we collaborated on with Stefan Lantschner and his sponsor, Fiat. The 2015 Montaña frame will be available in flat black with red graphics inspired by the Fiat 500 Abarth car as one of the two new colorway options that will be available later this year.

The 2015 Montaña frame is made from seamless 4130 chromoly with a 21” top tube length, 75-degree head tube angle, 69-degree seat tube angle, 8.5” stand over height, 11.75” bottom bracket height and a 13.60” chainstay length. The frame features an offset thickness head tube, integrated internal gussets on the top and down tubes, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted seat tube, Investment cast seat and chain stay bridges, a 4130 chromoly Investment cast seat post clamp with the horizontal cut system for improved clamping, the Easy Brake System removable brake mounts and Investment cast drop outs with removable chain tensioners.

The Montaña frame along with all of our 2015 products will be available later this year through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide.”

Sneak Peek: Flybikes – Mustard Yellow Isla Frame and Isla 2 Bars

We’ve been getting previews of the new 2015 line from Fly Bikes the past few days and things just keep getting better! Here’s a preview of the new Mustard yellow colorway that will be available on Shane Weston’s signature Isla frame along with the new 9.25″ rise Isla 2 bars! Full specs and details below!

“We have made a few changes to Shane Weston’s signature Isla line for 2015! Here’s a preview of one of his two new signature colorways that will be available later this year, Mustard Yellow, along with his new taller bars.

The Isla frame is made from full seamless 4130 chromoly with a 75-degree head tube angle, 70-degree seat tube angle, 8.5” stand over height, 11.75” bottom bracket height and a 13.40” chain stay length. The frame features an offset thickness head tube with integrated internal gussets on the top and down tubes for increased strength, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted down tube, Investment cast bridges on the seat and chain stays, a 4130 chromoly Investment cast seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System for improved clamping, the Easy Brake System removable brake mounts and Investment cast drop outs with removable chain tensioner. The 2015 Isla frame will be available with a 20.8” top tube and a weight of 4.85 lb. (2,200 grams).

The Isla 2 bars for 2015 will now come with a new taller 9.25” inch rise with a 29” width, 12-degrees of backsweep and 2-degrees of upsweep. This gives us a broad range of bar heights from 8.5” – 9.25” in our complete line of bars.

The new Mustard Yellow Isla frame and Isla 2 bars will be available later this year through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide!

Sneak Peek: Flybikes – 2015 Military Green Fuego Frame

It looks like Devon Smillie’s signature Fuego frame from Flybikes will be available in a Military Green colorway to match the 2015 Military Green Parts that we got a preview of yesterday! This is just one of the two new colors that will be available. Any guesses as to what you think the other might be?

“Yesterday we gave you a look at the new Military Green colorway that we will be offering on some of our 2015 parts. Today we’re excited to show you the new Military Green color that will be available on Devon Smillie’s signature frame as one of the additional TWO NEW colorway options for the 2015 Fuego.

The Fuego is made from full seamless 4130 chromoly tubing with a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.75” bottom bracket height, 9” stand over height and a 13.80” chain stay length. The frame features an offset thickness head tube with integrated internal gussets on the top and down tubes, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted seat tube, investment cast seat and chain stay bridges, the Easy Brake System removable brake mounts, a 4130 chromoly investment cast seat post clamp with the horizontal cut system for better clamping and investment cast dropouts with integrated chain tensioners. The Fuego comes with a 21” top tube length and a weight of 5.13 lb. (2,330 grams).

The Military Green 2015 Fuego frame will be available through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide later this year.”

We have a bit of an Anton Arnarson week going with the new 2014 Iceland Summer Road Trip video we dropped yesterday and now the bike check we’re about to get into here and we’re stoked! Anton has been kicking ass over in Iceland for the past few years and in that time we’ve been able to keep up with him through his videos. Brett Rohlfing recently made a trip over there to spend some time with Anton and figured he would grab a few photos of his current setup so you could get a closer look at just what he’s running these days! We tossed in some bonus questions to see what else is new with him as well… So let’s check this unit out already!
